Any time I try to look at Marvel Ruins comic things on this app, I'm blasted by the opinions of strangers on the internet. I just want to look at my shitty 2-issue comic mini series that no one else likes. Like?? If you think Marvel ruined something, say what it is instead of just saying the blanket term of Marvel Ruins because it's a comic series that already exists and has its weirdo little fans like me who like it. This can also be applied to all of my rare pairs except that last bit about tagging things. MJ out.

PINNED POST:
Kind of introductory. Mod is named Mary Jane and she is a cat for all intents and purposes. (She being me.)
No, I am not a furry, I'm just using my cats likeness to post about my rare pairs and things not related to the shit on my main blog. That being said, I don't care if you're a furry. All are welcome as long as you don't shit on my rare pairs. You can respectfully disagree, but I will fight you if you shit on my rare pairs in my house(on my blog).
Things I like and will probably post about:
Creepypasta(on and off hyperfixation for the better part of a decade)
Peanuts(the comic strip; probably mostly Lucy)
Total Drama Island(that one's been like 18 years in the making it shouldn't have surprised anyone tbh)
Moral Orel(painfully underrated and amazing from a psychological standpoint, as well as horrifying)
Classic literature(yeah this is a real mixed bag but we're almost at the end)
Retro music(starts at 1920s, ends at 2010s I don't listen to anything post 2012 except for like 10 songs and it's mostly mitski)
Vintage/obscure media(I paid $100 for a blu-ray of Dogma by Kevin Smith that hasn't been re-released since 2008, the original came out in 1999. I also have several vintage Sinatra records and several Moody Blues records.)
Psychology(Blanketing that because there's several facets but behavioral psychology is my favorite)
I am the self-proclaimed Rare Pair Queen. You'll see why and I'm going to expose myself terribly:
Jo x Scott from Total Drama Revenge of the Island (I have way too much evidence for these two)
Bloberta Puppington x Reverend Rod Putty from Moral Orel (It just makes more sense to me but I'm not hating on anyone who ships Blobs and Officer Papermouth)
Bethany Sloane x Bartleby from Dogma (Even my lesbian best friend agrees with me that they fell in love on that train)
This is my way of saying I need more people to talk to about these subjects, not necessarily the shipping, and if you would like to discuss these topics as well, the DM's should be open.

Okay I don't see anyone talking about this shit for Total Drama, at all, so here we go.
I believe there was a scrapped plot line featuring a dynamic with Jo, Brick and Scott.
Now, you might be wondering where this idea stems from, and I'm more than happy to enlighten. The first thing I notice is in the actual teaser image release for the season when all of the designs and names for the characters were finalized.

Now, of course, you could simply write off what I'm going to say as just simply a drawing to fit all of them in the frame.
In the image, you'll notice that Scott is standing between Jo and Brick. Now, the first thing you'll immediately notice is that he's got bunny ears posted up behind Brick's head. He doesn't like Brick in the show. That checks out. But he's not looking at Brick. He's looking at Jo. Quite endearingly, I might add. If you look closely, you can also see that his hand is on her waist. Given all this information, you could use the aforementioned write-off, but for the sake of the argument, we'll wait.
In their debut season, they interact with each other a total of 2-3 times, and it's very brief each time. Their first interaction is the first one we see between the new cast of characters where she threatens him, and he insults her gender, which becomes a gag in the season(via someone else). In their second interaction, Scott framed Dawn for stealing everyone's important items, and Jo threatens Dawn, only to be deterred by Scott, who promises Jo that Dawn will be dealt with. They interact more in Season 5(All-Stars), but she's only around for a few episode, and she still seems generally pretty hostile towards him, but he doesn't seem to hold that same animosity, even if she did shoot him with a leech cannon in Season 5. There are also several frames in Season 4 that feature them together.

Jo, as we see in season 4, makes passing comments about her insecurities surrounding her femininity, or lack thereof. Citing the episode "Runaway Model" she somewhat admits to having "big hairy body issues" and decides to have herself made up in order to lure the yeti away from Lindsay(even if she did sucker punch him off that mountain anyway). In the episode "A Mine is a Terrible Thing to Waste," we also learn that she's never kissed a guy, as she laments this to Lightning in their supposed last 15 minutes left to live. While Lightning is undoubtedly supportive, Jo is not a man(although the joke is still funny because this behavior is not exclusive to Jo). This lament cements that she's at least somewhat attracted to men(also see her Q&A where she said the craziest dream she had was letting a man win because she found him attractive). That's not the point of this post. You can have your headcanons. I don't care. However, she brought these up as insecurities, and they were never mentioned after these incidents, even within the episodes themselves.
Since Jo and Brick already share their competitive rivalry dynamic, and Scott usually works through sabotage and manipulation, I would imagine the potential dynamic between all three of them could have been a sort of "love triangle" if you could call it that. Brick and Jo have their competitive rivalry, but if Scott had started sabotaging the opposing team, he could have easily broken through Jo's defenses by using his undeserved charm rather than playing on empathy, of which Jo has very little to begin with(see his manipulation of Zoey post-merge in S4). By providing Jo with perceived romantic advances(or at least flirtatious ones), he could easily throw her off her game, either distracting her by flirting with her directly, or hyping her up to the point of showing off and then messing up, which would in turn, force Brick's hand into trying to get Jo to see reason, or to get Scott to essentially fuck off.
That is what I believe was both a missed opportunity and a scrapped plotline. Here are some extra frames of them together from Season 5 that I love.
In the first one they look like they're holding hands :)
