The world can often be a lonely and depressing place. Sometimes it feels we take one step forward and ten more back. Some of us can't get married because the family don't agree. Some of us can't get a job after trying for years. Some of us are in debt. Some of us have not been blessed with kids. Others of us can't seem to find a stable relationship with our partners and things seem to be spiralling out of control. Some of us didn't get the Uni conditional offer that we wanted. Some of us are ill and can't find cure. There is no solution in sight, every door has closed, everything has become impossible and life is full of sadness. Listen, I know this sounds cliche, but don't give up on Allah.
Your Lord is the One who split the sea for Prophet Musa when an army was behind him. Your Lord is the One who made the fire cool for Prophet Ibrahim whilst he was inside it. Your Lord is the One who protected Prophet Yunus whilst he was in the whale. Your Lord is the One who looked after Prophet Yusuf in the well and in prison, and made Him a leader. Your Lord is the One who granted Sayyidah Maryam the Prophet Isa. Your Lord is the One who gave Hajar the water of Zam Zam in a barren dessert. Your Lord is the One who gave Zakariyah a child in old age. Your Lord is the One who gave victory to 313 Muslims in Badr - They all had one thing in common - They never gave up. When things seemed impossible, they never lost hope in Allah. They only increase in faith. عليهم السلام

I finally did it and sent it to her this morning! She loved it!
Word for word, this is what she said : “Awesome!!! Thanks for all the luvvvv 😘😘😘💞💞💞” “i can read all the wonderful wishes full of encouragement n positivity.. 💞💞😘😘”
Wish I was there to see her reaction but at least my sister @follerys-trash-blog was there with her 💕 My mom started doing her physiotherapy on crutches and will be moving to a more specialized hospital that’s a lil further away tomorrow. That probably means it’s only easier to see her on weekends unless I rush out of work… I miss seeing her ;;~;; Let’s hope this helps to keep her going!
Again, thanks to everyone for the well wishes! And apologies if I missed anyone! I was so touched to see so many messages coming in during the first few hours, and it makes me happy we were able to do this for her <’3

Such a nice gesture..thanks my luvvv Azie..aka Cats.. This definitely brought my spirits up! That's the magic of the world wide web!
a small request.
Tumblr media
hey guys.
so uh, a buncha things happened throughout my family vacation.
i won’t go into all the details cos its seriously a LOT of stuff but basically, my mom had a jetski accident.
we went jetskiing last thursday and my parents were trying to switch jetskis cos one of them was more stable. ironically, when she was trying to cross over, they drifted apart and she fell with her full weight and fractured her femur on the edge.
not to mention we were in the middle of he ocean surrounded by islands, so we were forced to drive a long way back to the beach on bumpy waves.
thankfully me and my siblings caught the flight the next day and my parents managed to fly back on an emergency plane the same night.
she had a compound fracture on her femur, really close to her hip. she went through her surgery last sunday and began her physiotherapy just yesterday to start walking again.
it’s been hard so i wanted to try give her a little something. i was thinking it’d be nice if i could get well wishes from many, many different people saying “get well soon!” and “stay strong!”, then somehow putting them all together into a heart shape and giving it to her. probably just digitally send it to her cos its easier to keep and look at.
so i’m hoping, if anyone reading this can spare a few minutes, send me your messages so i can do this, and maybe give her some strength. and if you can’t, it’s ok. liking this post or sharing it around helps too.
also i’d rather not ask for money but i have to admit their flight back was uh, very expensive. they could afford it but if i could ease their mind even a little, i’d really appreciate it. i’ll put some old patreon posts on ko-fi soon.
my ko-fi
my paypal.me
i’ll post the get-well-soon heart when i can.
thank you 💖

Hey, Tumblr! 👋
Today marks the first day of Mental Health Month. Just like last year, we wanted to take up a bit of your dashboard real estate to talk about something important: you.
“Mental health” covers a broad spectrum of complex illnesses and emotions. It’s not always a cut-and-dry diagnosis, or something that goes away when you practice self-care. It can be difficult. It can feel like an uphill battle, especially after the year we’ve had. One of the ways we can move forward is by talking about it. We want to help facilitate that.
We want you to know that there are resources out there. There are people to talk to if you need someone to talk to, and there are organizations to look into if you want to help others.
NAMI (@namiorg and @oktotalk), the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the largest grassroots mental health organization in the U.S. Residents can dial 800-950-NAMI Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. — 6 p.m. ET.
The It Gets Better Project (@itgetsbetterproject) has one mission: uplift, empower and connect LGBTQ+ youth all around the globe. They have a list of over 1,000 resources for LGBTQ+ youth who are struggling with their sexuality, their families, their friends, or anything else. They want to remind you that you do not have go through anything alone.
The Born This Way Foundation (@bornthiswayfoundation) is committed to supporting the wellness of young people and empowering them to create a kinder and braver world. Their goal is to encourage kinder communities, improve mental health resources, and more positive environments both online and off.
Today we want to help you set up your own support system right on your own Tumblr. Some place where you can be honest and open and true. If you feel comfortable with it, we have two questions for you: what are you doing today to make life easier for yourself? And if you feel up to it—if you feet like you are in a good enough place yourself—what can you do to make life a little bit better for someone else?
Don’t forget, we have a whole directory of resources and prevention services that are open for people from all over the world right over here in our Help Center.

Hey, Tumblr.
Today is May 1. The first day of Mental Health Month. This entire month we want to nudge all of you to celebrate triumphs, acknowledge struggles, and just come together. Let other people know they’re not alone. Feel less alone yourself. It’s what Post it Forward is all about.
One of the incredible ways you—all of you—have helped shape Tumblr is with your ability to be open and honest.  It was you that turned this platform into a community, one based on genuine expression, creativity, and acceptance.
Neat. How can I participate?
Glad you asked! Each week, for all four weeks, we’ll be giving you ideas for ways to Post it Forward.
Week 1—Post it for you: How you practice self-care and personal well-being.
Week 2—Post it for each other: Ways you can be there for each other.
Week 3—Post it for reflection: Sharing stories of personal growth and development.
Week 4—Post it for the future: Committing to continuous reflection and improvement.
Tumblr media
This week is all about posting for you. Acts of self-care. Here are some places to start:
Post an emoji spell for self-care and positivity. 🌈 🔮 💕 🌱
Share a photo or GIF of something that calms you down. Don’t have one? Here’s one.
What’s the one thing that always cheers you up? Post a photo of it, take a GIF, or illustrate it. Toss a sticker on it, if you’d like.
Never forget that you are valid! Post a selfie with “valid” sticker (see below).
Make a list of things you like about yourself.
Make a checklist of 5 acts of self-care you promise to do for yourself this week.
Make an audio post with a song that helps you zone out and re-energize.
Don’t forget to tag all your posts with #postitforward this month! It makes it easier for everyone to find each other’s contributions.
What else?
We’ve asked our pal Tumblrbot (@tumblrbot) to help out with any extra encouragement you might need. Try sending them messages like “tell me about Mental Health Month” or “what’s this week’s prompt?” Tumblrbot will let you know what’s up, because Tumblrbot is a friend to all of us.
We got Answer Times, all of them taking place right here on Post it Forward unless indicated otherwise:
5/4—Utkarsh Ambudkar, NAMI (@namiorg) ambassador, Pitch Perfect actor, and member of hip-hop improv group, Freestyle Love Supreme.
5/8—AJ Mendez Brooks, NAMI (@namiorg) ambassador, former pro wrestler, and author of Crazy Is My Superpower, a memoir about her experiences with bipolar disorder.

A lovely batch of Tumblrs
Got a minute? Of course you do. Just a minute. Just click on any of these links below. 60 seconds to allow yourself to decompress. Let go of stress. Enjoy these affirmation-loaded, self-care heavy, soothing-as-heck Tumblrs:
Tumblr media
Positive Pastel (@positivepastel)
An aptly titled Tumblr, for sure. Take a visually soothing scroll through this (mostly) soft pink curated blog.
Their mission: “hope to make your day a little brighter.” Their rate of success: we’ll estimate a conservative…100%.
Motivational Tattoos (@motivationaltattoos)
Tumblr media
Motivational Tattoos has the one-stop shop for anyone who wants to buy inspiring temporary tattoos, self-care printables, and dissolvable paper in the shape of a thought bubble all in one stop. Something weighing you down? Write it down, place it in some warm water, and watch that heavy thought melt away.

Gentle Reminder (@gentle-reminder)
The phrase “gentle reminder” might conjure up the image of old emails and texts from a passive-aggressive someone-or-another. That’s not this Tumblr. Gentle reminder: It reminds you, gently, to do nice things for yourself.
Tumblr media
Living Stills (@livingstills)
Remember when people were calling beautiful, artsy GIFs “cinemagraphs” because they seemed to be too beautiful to be called GIFs? @livingstills is full of those GIFs—beautiful, calming GIFs from the outdoors. It’s the second best thing to actually being in nature.
