I decided to make a continuation for my previous short comic, which was based on a prompt.

(Panels should be read from left to right)

In short Vergil is a tsundere.

No worries, Nero isn't dead, but Vergil thinks he is.

But any different interpretation is very very welcome like perhaps the ultimate fight against Mundus went very wrong? Vergil once again failing to protect someone close to him? So many options. XD To be fair I planned to draw something different originally but I made this.

Also time to feed you some good old angst. Maybe because I love to torture you mentally with this.

Man I'm never drawing 8 pages long comics ever again. That's so much work.

To be honest I've been having this idea for months after the DLC dropped and saw one of Vergil's taunts. The one in which he turns Yamato into Nero's Devil Bringer. Vergil says to himself "There is no time for doubt. I know what must be done."

I headcanon that he's considering fixing his actions by returning Yamato to Nero. By actions I don't even mean just severing the arm... but much more.

I really gotta thank @drusoona for all the photo references I could use to detail the clothes properly, draw some faces or even trace the fucking Red Queen and Yamato (I did that for one panel because fuck me I'm too lazy).

I'd like to comment on the Vergil's dream here. I obviously went for it to show Vergil fears being left behind as he knows it ended really badly for him the last time. Obvious.

But I realized that there is one more thing I didn't plan from the beginning but also fits. Vergil fears emotions. He is afraid that if he lets them to overwhelm him something horrible will happen to him - like being vulnerable to attacks.

Nero's arm is back to being Devil Bringer. It's not an AU, in which his arm was never ripped off... But this is what happens when he gets Yamato back. Vergil's strongest promise he'll stay.

Anyways I was kinda nervous to post that comic.
