Wishing Tree : बंधन These are the pictures I took while going to the Ganesh Ji Temple in the Ranthambhore Fort. It was a fascinating moment. Seeing these many threads raised many questions in my mind. Why do people tie knots there? How does it work? How can a thread hold such an enormous energy? Why the vibes at these places are high? A plain thread generates hopes in millions of hearts. I find wishing trees, knotting threads, love padlocks etc. hold a basic phenomenon. It is a cultural heritage and we all witness the power they hold. This practice of making wish is there across the world. I can't say where it had been originated but I find similar practice in the Hindu & Jain Mythology too. Kalpavriksha, is also called as Wish- Fulfilling Tree / Life Tree / Healing Tree etc. It is a Baniyan tree representing a vital force and an eternal life because of its seemingly ever-expanding branches. This along with the Peepal tree & Tulsi’, or holy basil were the ones, I encountered as wishing trees during my childhood days. I had seen people connecting through them and things happening in their lives as miracles. I couldn't find any scientific logic behind it but I felt the synergy between the tree/ thread and wisher. Probably the same reason we tie a Rakhi / Moly Thread on many auspicious occasions. Let me know your thoughts about it. I'll be writing about this cultural practice in other parts of the world too. #travel #travelgram #travelphotography #throwback #travelblogger #traveldiaries #mannat #wish #wishing #wishlist #wishes #wishfulthinking #hopes #indiantravelblogger #indianmythology #rituals #tree #worship #wishingwell #wishingtree #wishingyouthebest (at Ranthambhore National Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIvNHnvJOWZ/?igshid=q0m8vih9ieen

A thinking Monkey! This is the moment I captured in my phone at the Ranthambore fort. I was wondering if I could find out what was going on in its mind. If it is a parent it would be thinking about its daughter's marriage/ son's business/retirement plans etc. If it is a child it would be thinking about its friends, future life, regrets about the past etc. But wait , Monkeys would not be thinking that much. These social dilemmas are only for a human. We are the only ones who have these worries continuously running in a loop inside our thoughtful mind. That separate us from other living creatures. The ability to have a social thinking. Going through the deepest areas of the brain, we figure out life. We invent ,we make & we grow consistently. Imagine any other specie having these many capabilities. The human nature of domination over another would be minimal then. A sense of equal competitor could have been keeping the check on humans, preventing them doing bad things. But we don't have any other creature on Earth having that much importance. My grandparents used to say, after being born in 84 lakhs different lives, we get a human life. This mythogical fact made me realised that how important it is to remain human through out our life. Ability to think is one of the best gift God gave to Humans. Studying Evolution is the best way to understand this.Monkeys and Humans shared a link in the past. But it is a common misconception that we evolved from Chimpanzee. It is evident that the last common ancestor between humans and macaques lived about 25 million years ago. After these many years, one would expect to see large differences in their mental abilities. A/c to a study conducted by Columbia University "Humans are much more complex in the way they interact socially, so they need a greater ability to pick up on those subtle cues and use that information to guide their future decisions than a macaque would." So, It is important to keep our thoughts alive. Make the maximum use of this gift. Think positive, productive & purposeful. But don't overthink.Find a balance in our thoughts, as this is the most important step in order to remain human through this Human Life. My Imagination- India's Mount Rushmore ! Picture1- Mount Rushmore is a colossal sculpture carved in the Black Hills in Keystone, South Dakota, US. Created by Gutzon Borglum with the help of his son, Lincoln Borglum. This 60-foot (18 m) tall sculpture features the heads of Presidents George Washington , Thomas Jefferson , Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. They were chosen to represent the nation's birth, growth, development, and preservation, respectively. Credit- Internet. Picture2- This is the picture I took on the way to Ranthambore fort (Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, India). I was riding a bike & suddenly I stopped with an imaginative thought that this could be a great place to have sculptures of our freedom fighters. I was wondering why I had this thought in my dreamy mind. When I came back home I was thinking who all should be carved on that hill. It was really difficult to choose only 4 of the Super Heroes of this great nation. I came up with Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, BR Ambedkar. These are my thoughts. Let me know your thoughts about it.And tell in the comment section about who all should be there on "India's Mount Rushmore" . . . . #Travel Story #Mad'ouk Let's keep our thoughts alive!💡 madoukwritings! https://madoukwritings.wordpress.com/ Turn on post notification to get more soulful content. #instagood #travel #travelstories #travelgram #travelblogger #traveldiaries #travelphotography #traveltheworld #travelingram #travelblog #traveller #india #rajasthan #sawaimadhopur #ranthambore #ranthamborenationalpark #ranthambhore #mountrushmore #imagination #justimagine #sculpture #rock (at Ranthambhor) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIbwp7xJzBq/?igshid=3dypdvogmzlv

Our former president wrote a book "India 2020" where he talked about the future of our nation.I think he thought the year 2020 would be a landmark year. It indeed became one. An ongoing Pandemic, the biggest migration, Fire incidents and many more events have made this year truely a landmark. In the continuation to such events, we all witnessed many cases related to suicide in the news. Every such news has put me in the act of introspection. I realised importance of mental health. I stayed in my house 24*7 and it did take a toll on my mental health. The Pandemic and lockdown has put us in a vulnerable position. It surely has triggered the anxiety for many of us. I am no different. In the midst of these thoughts I realised the importance of a good friendship. It's like " Har ek friend zaroori hota hai" . When I look back , I find some friendships that didn't last long, however they could have been. We all have such feeling and we all miss those pages of our life. It's the courage that forces us to reconnect with them. When I hear a news of a suicide, I have only one question in my mind, why we become so resistant at a point of time that we couldn't share our stress with anyone? Then my subtle mind answers to this , may be the stress overtakes all the positive feelings which act as a healer in us or may be it's the social rule of strength. What is it ? The social rule of strength teaches us to behave strong in front of the others everytime. We live in a society where we categories people into weak and strong the moment we meet them. It comes naturally to many of us now. Everyone of us has been advised to hide our weaknesses and show our strength. In that process of hiding we become so resilient towards our near ones that we think them as an imposter. We behave all okay in front of everyone thinking that why should I share? We all have that feeling at some point of time or a concealed depression. This pandemic time has shown us a way to realise the Power of Sharing. #friends #friendshipgoals #friendship #friendsforever #longtimenosee #callyourfriends #hindipoetry #hindi #hindishayari #hindipoem #care #sharethelove #share #reach #suicideprevention #saynotosuicide https://www.instagram.com/p/CIGlO5FpD2H/?igshid=he2w9fxcll0b

Everyone has some great memories about their childhood. My childhood belonged to a small village with a joint family. Being raised in a village, the real source that introduced us to the outside world was the television. We, and by we, I meant me and my cousins spent most of our free time watching those 90’s shows, some of those are still in my pensive. One afternoon ,All of us were sitting in front of the idiot box, watching our favourite show “shakalaka boom boom”. The main protagonists of the show had a magic pencil. The pencil had been spelled with the powers of creation. Any object would come to life If drawn from it. It was fascinating. I always wished to have that magic pencil. A magic pencil writing by which I can have anything I want. When I shared my wish with my grandpa he said you can always turn an ordinary pencil into a magical one by embracing your thoughts with the magical words. I never realised the true meaning of his words back then but I started penning down my thoughts whenever I could. I never realised when the flavour of rhyme added to these thoughts and I wrote my first poem. I can never trace that. Being brought up in a Hindi atmosphere with my schooling in Hindi , I started reading a lot of Hindi literature. It was my granny’s bday when I wrote a poem about her that included the names of every family member. I shifted to the city and then life turned. I got introduced with some new emotions new atmosphere but I continued my writings. After finishing schooling , A whole new world of medical science was waiting for me. I started learning new things , more complex things for my four pounds brain. Emotions were pouring every other day in college with the hail storming stress. I usually penned down my emotions in the form of poems/ blog stories/ articles etc. it took all my stress of hectic work. But sooner or later ,I disconnected with my creative world. Being a health professional I didn’t get much time (that’s what I thought) to improve my writing skills. As they say you always have time for the things you like. Anyways, I am a medical graduate now. I got boosted by my family and friends to have a platform for myself to showcase some of my creations. Initially I was reluctant for making my personal views going public but later on I realised the potential of the writing. The strength and responsibility it gives are amazing. I hope I’ll be a good content creator and will be a helping hand in developing think tanks.
