Hey all! Just a sad electrical and computer engineering student trying to make my way in the world. Talk to me! (she/her) Also! This is a side blog, so I can't follow you back from here. (main blog: thethingaboutfantasy) The icon isn't mine, but I like it a lot. Space amiright? My personal posts are all tagged #rambles if you wanna see that. :)

Planning next week after I had basically nothing to do this week. I hope I can be a bit more productive again because I need to write three papers before next semester.

Listen I did not spend years fighting through "women can't do math" to get my engineering degree to have the gays then decide for ourselves that we can't do math. Maybe YOU can't but me and my squad of woodworking bisexuals are fckin fine thanks.

This little variable transformer (Variac) is super exciting lol - pun intended. These transformers are used to change the level of voltage on the secondary via turning the dial. These have no change on frequency so the loads need to be designed with that in mind. Some of the cool factors of this piece is the two part knob and adjustable knob height. My favorite parts of this transformer has to be the name plate and the range of visual colors.

I really 100% would just be in such better shape if I had friends that were... you know, considerate. I’m not sure how many time or for how many years I have to ask to receive the same thing before they remember or understand it is something that I need But, you know, whatever. I wanted to spend my afternoon crying under a blanket trying to recover from seeing my friends, right?

I don't care if this "revokes" my writer license
If you’re having trouble brainstorming / coming up with characters you have my permission to get inspiration by rolling on random RPG tables.
Actually, you don’t only have my permission, you also have my favorite spread:
1. Roll once on the Character Role table.
2. Roll once on the Character Goal table.
3. Then roll up to three times on the Character Descriptor table, depending on how complex/important the character is.
There you go. Now that you have a starting point, start fleshing them out!
PS: This spread is from my favorite RPG of all time: “Ironsworn” by Shawn Tomkin! Here’s 3 reasons why you should play this game: (1) You can play it solo or without a GM. (2) The system is easy to hack; my wife and I ran a campaign that was basically a shoujo manga using Ironsworn. (3) It’s FREEEEE.
