Bealtaine (not Beltane) is pronounced ‘Beeowl-tinna’. It does not originate the neopagan wheel of the year. It is one of the four Irish fire festivals.

If you’re celebrating it this year, regardless of your tradition, please take some time to research the roots of this holiday. Do your part to help reverse some of the damage done by the neopagan appropriation of this holiday by learning and incorporating some authentic Irish tradition into your celebrations.

Just a reminder (specifically to US folks) that the gods are not at fault for the election results. I feel this is important to say because while some of us were praying for different results, it doesn't mean that we were ignored, forgotten, or left on our own. The way I think about it is that the gods don't control the individual free wills of people; we have our own free will and make our own decisions. We can't blame them for the actions of others, for the free will of others. It sucks that things turned out the way that we did, but it's not the fault of the gods. Try to remember that.

Furthermore, they'll have the backs of their worshippers during the times ahead. They didn't completely abandon us or something. If they supported you before the election, they'll continue sharing that support with you. They're not going to leave you swimming in the middle of the ocean without a lifeboat.

friendly reminder that your practice doesn’t need to be aesthetically pleasing or perfect in any way

sometimes your spell bottles will look like brown sludge

sometimes you’ll offer your deities a sour patch kid

occasionally your tarot readings will be nonsensical

often, you’ll get things wrong and make mistakes

you are only human, and i love the “witchy” aesthetic as much as the next guy, but it isn’t about appearance at the end of the day!

add rue water to your mop water to cleanse your home from negative energy.

stir beverages counter or clockwise to repel/attract thing into ur life.

sprinkle lines of sea salt in the spaces between window panes and screens for protection.

rub frankincense oil on feet before going out for protection.

wash your bedding with orange blossom water.

carrying a bay leaf in your wallet for wealth.
