Okay I know it's been done many times before but Heavenly Demon!LQG is sooo good.

He encounters a monster that's got him pretty well cornered while he's in one of the border towns of the demon realm.

And then a cultivator comes out of nowhere and slays the monster with little effort. Like it's nothing. A wounded LQG begrudgingly thanks him, suspicious but intrigued by a cultivator presumably more powerful than him.

SY just happens to know that Ruby-Tailed Flower Wyvern's weaknesses are the flower shaped spot on their heads, really!

LQG demands they fight once he's healed up. A cultivator stronger than a heavenly demon is surely worth challenging!

So he follows SQQ(who's on a loooong mission) around as his wounds heal. SQQ keeps giving excuses as to why they can't spar even after he's fully healed, he doesn't want to die, alright! He eventually does reveal he just knew enough about the Wyvern to know how to kill it.

LQG doesn't seem too bothered, they've been travelling together for some time now and he still finds himself pretty impressed by SQQ's knowledge of monsters. He'd kind of figured it out to some extent. SQQ is still intriguing.

...And it is pretty interesting for SQQ to learn about Heavenly Demons and watch LQG fight. He won't complain about having him around to protect him either! LQG even starts bringing him strong monster corpses to let him examine them up close!

So what if bringing strong monsters to someone is kind of a courting gift. LQG knows he likes monsters, he definitely doesn't mean anything else by it.

Until LQG proposes a relationship and is surprised when SQQ is confused. Didn't you accept all the courting gifts and examine them thoroughly??? Shouldn't this be expected????

Sure, SQQ might have started to realize his feelings for LQG were more than just platonic, but isn't this too sudden, ah!!!

Now he has to explain to his sect that he got into a relationship while on a mission, and that his partner is a Heavenly Demon.
