Bullshit BlazBlue V2C1: "You can crash at my place." Been wanting to do more mundane comedic edits/skits/whatever the hell these things are again. We'll see how long this renewed interest in my very loose "Hakumen & Susanoo share an apartment with various FG characters and are neighbors with Nine"-continuity lasts. "Gran asking questions he may not like the answers to." Sidenote 1: Can someone tell me where that chibi NarmayaStare image comes from? I haven't been able to find the source with reverse image search and I don't know where to look or who to ask since the GBVSR Narmaya Discord just ignored my question about its origins. Sidenote 2: I'm wondering if I should put some sort of obnoxious name tag on my edits and skits or something. I know it's petty and my fault for publicly posting shit without slapping my name on it but it feels kinda shitty when people repost my edits & skits from my BlueSky or Tumblr on Twitter (which I don't actively post on anymore), and they get 1k+ likes for it but they don't even mention my username or that it wasn't their edit. I know it's just worthless internet points from faceless strangers but I'd be lying if I said it didn't annoy me somewhat. But in the end, I'm just reusing and stealing game assets or Google Image results made by other, more skilled & hard-working people than me. It’s like I’m taking toys from their toyboxes but ultimately, am I even really creating or contributing anything of worth? I don’t really know if anything I’ve done counts as “transformative” enough if they were to ever be put under any scrutiny.

I guess I'm just another example of a thief getting mad at people for taking his stolen shit without his permission. "Hey! I stole it first!" Hypocrisy is my middle name, I suppose. That's partially why I've always been hesitant to do things like paid commissions. It just doesn't sit right with me in 95% of cases and it's less pressure for me to worry about for various reasons. Having the, "At least I'm not making money off of it and it's not like I'm damaging the brand name"-excuse eases my various anxieties somewhat.

Been having fun playing Djeeta in GBVSR. At this point, I'm probably more comfortable playing her than Vaseraga so I'd consider her my secondary now. Funny how that works out since I kinda just tried her out in ranked on a whim without much practice beforehand.

Had to use Ultima's freecam mod & a bit of script modding to get a chroma key background & isolate this Vikala horn tooting animation without Dormouse in it. Very silly. Might have to try her out later. Been having fun playing Narmaya and Djeeta more lately in GBVSR ranked since I'm taking a break from BlazBlue Centralfiction.

I found the texture for Vikala's photograph frame & background during her throw animation (RED/Content/Chara/VKY/Common/Effect/Particles/VKY_PTC01/Tex/vky_301shot) and decided mess with it a bit by overlaying Vikala over various unfitting backgrounds. BTW, I forgot to mention: I'm so happy Granblue Fantasy Asset Lookup by MizaGBF exists. https://mizagbf.github.io/GBFAL/index.html Such a useful and well-organized resource for getting the original browser/mobile game image assets.

"Heh." Just recreated the Anya "Heh."-face from SPY X FAMILY and put it on the chibi Narmaya avatar from GBVSR. I can't wrap my head around UV unwrapping just to get the dang texture to show up on the model because for some reason, the actual jaw-area mesh faces on the front are separate from the ones that the facial expressions textures are painted on; no, those faces are behind the visible face for some reason. There must be something that makes them switch or something in-game, I'm guessing. I dunno. Had to do alot of touching up on Photopea though because the mesh and textures don't blend so nicely in Blender as-is.

Silly low-effort edit I made because of all the "gallons to Galleon" jokes I've seen for her GBVSR DLC gameplay trailer.

I struggled to find clean image asset extracts of the dialogue UI so I just found a screenshot of the story mode and cropped out the original background except for the text boxes & whatnot. If anyone knows where I could find a template or a clean PNG, that would be very cool. I couldn't find it in that one website that you could lookup the image assets for every character or event in a very cleanly organized fashion. Perhaps I was using the wrong search queries though. On the off-chance the UI in isolation doesn't already exist somewhere, I'll just leave a GDrive link to the PNG & PSD file. I used for this silly edit.
