Douglas and Johnny are both different expressions of autism to me. Douglas is blunt and honest about his intentions, no matter how cruel. Johnny hides his thoughts because he doesn't want to upset people or be misinterpreted.

Douglas absolutely must have things his own way. He must have freedom and be in control at all times whereas Johnny would rather just be given direct instructions to follow so he's not burdened by choice.

I imagine growing up Douglas kept his hair shot because of sensory issues, whereas Johnny kept his long because he had sensory issues around getting it cut.

Douglas probably loves warmer weather and can't stand the cold at all whereas Johnny loves cold weather because it means he can wear lots of layers.

I just think there's something so fascinating about how vastly different these two are despite growing up together under the same circumstances.

HELLO sorry I don't know how old this is I never check my inbox.

I am such a big fan of them!! I've not seen much shipping content but honestly I'd love to see more I think they'd have a really interesting dynamic as the 'second in command forced to stay cause of family ties' thing they've both got going on.

Also they are just two of my favourite characters in the show. Wish Rosie had featured before s3 so we could have seen them interact :(
