Well, the good news is I have 3 days straight of back to back Actually Important meetings at work and won’t have much time to just wallow over Revenged Love ep 19 being 6 days away🥳

Just a reminder to everyone of what actually happened in the novel when WSW goes to the clinic:

And also the scene where he goes to meet Wang Shuo :

"My heart was never broken. Those six years belonged completely to you, and you didn’t protect it. Now it’s gone, fully and completely belonging to Wu Suo Wei. No matter how deeply he hurts me, my heart won’t settle for less."

I wish they added these lines because it shows how much Chi Cheng loves Wu Suo Wei, so much that he didn't care for his original motive , he just asked him

"Did you ever love me".

Chi Cheng is so devoted to Wu Suowei that he puts up with all of his unreasonable thoughts and actions.

While he didn't mind leaving marks on Wang Shuo, he couldn't stand to watch WSW suffer physically or emotionally.

As long as it's him, he doesn't even care if Wu Suo Wei breaks his heart.

Today I have therapy, which is ironic because

1) it will make me get home late, so I won’t watch ep 18 until late at night, which will make me unable to think or talk about anything else until then (pray for my psychologist, y’all) and

2) watching Revenged Love after therapy will absolutely, 100%, for sure, destroy any and all breakthrough or relief I manage to get from my session.

I feel very immersed in the Revenged Love experience, very Xiao Shuai, just here doing my best while 3 idiots incapable of having a conversation just wreck havoc in my peace of mind.

In my head, not only they made it, they are married. Tada and Armin were best men.

Also, they have at least 3 adopted kids and an assortment of rescued pets. (A few years of quietness, with no one trying to kill their Big Bois, they realised they kinda missed all the action and wanted a few Smol Bois and Girls to give them high blood pressure. After being genuinely confounded by this decision, and totally lost every time Weinai and Janine tool parental leave together, Tada got used to not being priority number one for Weinai. Kinda. Armin loves to borrow them for 2-3 hours at a time, tops, spoiling them with sugar and games and then giving them back before they stain his white couches.)

Look at them! They made it! They really made it!

there's no denying that reset is amazing, but i've been trying to figuring out why it's hitting this hard. my answer? it's the yearning. we don't really see characters yearn these days. i mean sure, there may be mentions of yearning but we don't really see the progression and perhaps that is a reflection of modern times where almost everyone and everything is so accessible.

the desire and longing armin and thada feel for each other (amplified by fate and a few lifetimes of secret admiration) is so palpable that it sometimes hurts (so good) to watch—especially thada. he loves and craves armin with every single fiber of his being that even his breathing is labored by his desire. am i jealous? yes. do i love to see it? also, yes. in conclusion, bring back yearning.

Yes, part of me appreciates the cuteness of that ending. About 9% of me. The other 91% has been screaming WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU NOT SAY IT SAY IT YOU COWARD SAY “I, Chi Cheng, do not love you anymore, Wang Shuo” SAY IT SAY IT for about 30 minutes now.
