i am once again experiencing the age old crisis of meme-ifying and dumbing down my characters for more shareability and mass appeal vs wanting to be authentic and keeping their complexity
there’s the other, more concerning complexity that might make my characters too niche or alienating for most folks online
i want people to like my stuff but i don’t wanna be a sellout. i want to show people that their stories are worth telling but i don’t want to scare people off.
i know it’s an oc and meant to be for fun, but to me it’s more than that. i want to make cool stuff that people like! this is mostly about my anxious thoughts about my characters, but i have gotten instances of people making odd comments about my writing.

SCP Doctor Headcanons Part 3
-Dr. Bright has an extensive collection of vintage watches, each representing a different significant event in his life. He often fiddles with them during moments of contemplation, using the rhythmic ticking as a grounding mechanism when faced with the chaotic nature of his work at the SCP Foundation.
-Dr. Clef has a habit of doodling strange creatures in the margins of his notes, some of which hint at potential future research topics or unclassified SCPs.
-Dr. Kondraki has a secret talent for playing the guitar, a hobby he picked up during his teenage years, and he often plays for his close friends during late-night work sessions.
-As a child, Dr. Glass was fascinated by the way light refracts through prisms, leading him to study psychology as a way to understand the complexities of human behavior in a similarly multi-faceted way.
-Dr. Paradox believes in the power of dreams and keeps a dream journal by his bedside, often referencing entries during therapy sessions to explore his patients' subconscious thoughts.
-Dr. Rights has a habit of doodling while on the phone, often creating intricate designs inspired by her SCP investigations, which she later incorporates into her reports as visual aids.
-Dr. Light has a hidden talent for calligraphy, often using it to write letters to her friends and colleagues within the Foundation, believing that handwritten notes can convey emotions better than digital messages.
-Though he rarely shows it, Dr. Gears harbors a deep resentment towards those who exploit anomalies for personal gain, leading him to secretly sabotage any experiments that he feels could lead to public misuse.
-Despite his cold demeanor, Dr. Iceberg has a soft spot for stray animals and often feeds them with leftovers from his lunches, maintaining a secret 'shelter' in the facility's basement.
-Dr. Mann is known to have a unique method for calming himself during high-stress situations: he hums the theme from '2001: A Space Odyssey' while conducting his experiments, finding it helps him focus.
-Dr. Trebuchet is known for her meticulous organization skills; her lab is always pristine, and she has a color-coded system for all her files, which she claims helps her think more clearly under pressure.
- In her downtime, Dr. Roth enjoys solving complex puzzles and riddles, which she believes sharpens her analytical skills and helps her approach SCP anomalies from different angles.
-Dr. Crow has a habit of collecting rare and obscure books on mythology and folklore, believing that understanding ancient stories can provide insight into the anomalies he studies.
-Dr. King secretly enjoys painting, using it as a release for his creative side, and he often incorporates SCP themes into his artwork, reflecting his unique perspective on the anomalies.
-Dr. Edison has a habit of writing his thoughts and experiments in an old leather-bound journal, which he carries everywhere. He believes that documenting his mental processes helps him stay grounded amidst the chaotic nature of SCP research.
- Dr. Gerald has a fear of clowns, a phobia stemming from a childhood birthday party gone wrong, and finds it particularly ironic given the anomalous nature of his work.
-Dr. Cimmerian keeps a small, intricately carved wooden box on his desk, filled with mementos from SCP encounters that have left a significant impact on him, serving as a reminder of the risks involved in his work.
