Sometimes my mind just wanders of to how Deuce and Kotatsu are doing, so I had to quickly doodle them. I hope they're okay...

Feeling kinda torn on the new chapter of the Ace novel manga, like I have been for the others. The whole "big final battle" thing between Ace and WB before he joins feels unnecessary to me, idk. Loved this moment he has with just the Spades afterwards though.

Seeing Deuce post-Marineford here is definitely interesting, even though I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I do love him using the Striker and that flame dial to get around! Him writing for the newspaper (I'm assuming that's what it is, forgive my awful memory) is a neat idea, but also feels a bit weird and too boring/casual for me tbh, after everything that happened. Him wanting to focus on not just Luffy but Sabo too is definitely intriguing though. I wonder if that means he somehow knows that Sabo is actually Ace's other brother he thought dead or if he just knows Sabo has Ace's devil fruit now and wants to see what he does with it?

Ok I've read the new chapter for Boichi's adaptation of the Ace novels, and these are my favorite panels/moments

Still don't know how I feel about how Marco looks, but Deuce is adorable as always! 😍

And I love that part where Ace overhears wb caring about whether Ace lives or dies, it's so important for Ace to know people want him to live 😭

Thinkin about Deuce (of course) and spending hours wondering about who he is and who his family is, where he's from, and this may have already been pointed out, maybe it's nothing and I'm just an idiot, but I kept thinking about the symbol for the Goa Kingdom, that being a daisy with three feathers:

We see it on the wall of the kingdom, on Outlook's hat, and even on Sabo's pocket watch. Having clothes or items with this symbol is a sign of Nobility or Noble birth. I assume so because of how the Ramen Shop owner reacted when Sabo showed it to him.

It's not a symbol that just anyone can carry around, because it holds weight, and judging by the Ramen guys response, it makes me think only very high born nobles can even think to carry that symbol.

Now here's where I go off and act like a dumbass looking too deep into things that aren't as deep as they are in reality, but Deuce's canon outfit design has a really pretty rose symbol on it:

At least it looks like a rose.

Anyway if kingdoms in the East Blue each, theoretically, have a flower symbol to identify high blood nobles and/or royalty, then maybe the rose symbol on his clothes is a hint as to who he is and where he's from. If I'm right then his family was richer than I thought initially and he's not JUST some random drop out medical student from some throw away rich family. He's HIGH noble, just like Sabo was.

Or I could be completely wrong in which case I'll just go f*ck myself-

but either way I want to know more about Deuce, his past, his family, his shitty older brother, everything, because I love himmmmmmm so much.
