Isolation is a gift, all the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And you’ll do it despite rejection and the worst odds and it will be better that anything else you can imagine. If you’re going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. I believe this applies to everything especially for me. It’s what I’ve spent my life doing. One of my favorite writing’s of Charles Bukowski. “If you’re going to try, go all the way. Put the pieces in place for my One Man Show. I’m gonna need help. When I hear of a Suicide, my heart breaks a little bit. I have known 6 people who have committed Suicide. When I heard of Robin Williams, it scared me because I thought once you had kids, that option was off the table. Anthony Bourdain’s Suicide has also affected me, as we had so much in common. It’s been 38 years since I tried to end my life. So, to update. My Mom is back in the hospital as of yesterday. She should have never been released from the hospital as she was battling Covid. My Mom spent a lot of her youth in St. Thomas Aquinas Church in the Bronx. As a child she prayed at the feet of a Statue of St. Anthony. She Prayed to have 5 kids. She did. She Prayed that we’d come, boy, girl, boy, girl, girl. We did. Early in her life she Believed in the Power of Prayer. As a kid growing up I saw when family or people in the neighborhood got sick, it was my Mother they would call on for her Prayers. My whole life she would continue this practice and ask me to Prayer for them as well. I did & I do. I knew from Childhood that my Mother was & is Special. Whenever someone I know needed it, I asked my Mom to Pray for them. She did. And then she got the Holy Water that was Blessed by Pope John Paul II, whom she felt a strong connection to. I used some of that Water on her when I was home last week. It all seemed to be working. I came back to LA. This week she’s taking a turn for the worse. The effects of having gotten Corona are weakening her. Her Oxygen levels fluctuate, she is physically exhausted and she is losing weight because of a loss of appetite. She needs someone with her 24 hours. With my brother & sisters, we are working it out that someone is always with her. I will be going back in a couple of weeks.
