I was finally going to commit to opening an online shop for prints and patches and stuff at the end of the year but the main postage company in my country has stopped shipping to the US. I hate this timeline.

A "small" (~600 words) rant about the possibility of kcd3 and the conclusions that everyone is coming to because of that Warhorse tweet

After that Warhorse tweet celebrating Tom's last day recording for the KCD2 DLCs I've seen sooo many people (on reddit mainly) say that "this is Toms' last kcd game" and "Henry's story ends with kcd2" and I'm just so dumbfounded with some people. Do we have the reading skills of a 10 year old? Like what are we doing here?

The tweet said and I quote "Today was [Tom's] last day in the booth & on the mocap stage for #KCD2" kcd2, guys. Not kcd as a whole, kcd2! The rest of the tweet, to me at least, reads as a thanks to Tom for the last 9 years. *Not* a goodbye. This could honestly be a bit of a ploy.

Besides, the entire studio would be under NDAs even if kcd3 has been confirmed internally. That being said, the director? head-writer? (sorry I forgot his role), is on record saying that he'd like to move onto other projects for a bit so it maybe a while before we hear anything about it all (more than the 7 years between 1 and 2 even).

I've seen people talk about the plans that Warhorse had when kcd1 was being crowdfunded where they were planning to have 3 acts, this was *kind of* scrapped when the project grew a bit too big for the scope of the first game. Act 1 and 2 was kcd1, act 3 was kcd2. But plans aren't immune to changing and writing and stories will always change.

Purely from a writing angle it feels like there should be more to Henrys' story. Hans will be getting married, Erik will either have his revenge or die trying, and there's a lot that's been left unsaid between Henry and a bunch of other characters, mainly Hans and Sam. I also feel like this is just a fucking bizarre place to end the story as a whole, not final cutscene or task like kcd1, just finish the plot, talk to Dadzig and Hanush then wonder the region until you are summoned back to Rattay. I'm pretty sure that they *will* fix that alongside the release of the final DLC, but let me clutch at straws here damnit.

Anyway, this is only my perspective and ideas. This is probably more me coping with the fact that we probably have to wait like another 7-8 years for the announcement of the next one than anything else. I also adore Henry and would miss him so, so much if he doesn't appear in kcd3.

TLDR:

My friends were talking about 'aura loss' after liking or viewing a post too quickly after it was posted. But I think it's kinda cool if I see someone's post around the time it was posted like 'Hello person that I've never *really* interacted with, we exist on the same website at the same time and I like your stuff!' That's kind of cool right?

It's like sharing a campus or building with someone and bumping into them every now and again. I don't think that should be embarrassing. (maybe if it happens *too* much i guess, but then we're all salves to hell-scape monolith that we call social media so it doesn't really matter)
