Max had seen his sister enter the apartment building, and instead of follow her in like a normal person, he decided to surprise her by waiting outside.  “What, I can’t say hello to my favorite sister?”

Charlie heard a sound outside her apartment and, ever the adventurer, followed it in the dead of night. The strange place place made her equal parts terrified and curious. “Who’s there?” she asked, her voice strong with purpose. As the future turned, Charlie blinked in confusion. “What are you doing here?”

“Well, I was ripped from my home with no explanation, and my parents must be worried sick.  I’m more worried for them than I am myself, we’ve never been separated for this long.”

“Well…maybe that’s a good thing, maybe they’re still back in the jungle instead of…wherever we are.” Their families being back at home was a comforting idea. Solveig would much rather have her mom be in Arendelle than this place. “Thank you, Max. You as well. It’s hard to be separated so abruptly like this.”

“I hope so...  I suppose it would be one less thing for my parents to worry about.”  Max replied with a small nod and looked down at the ground.  Not to worry, though, I’m sure we’ll find a way back soon enough.”

“Oh, I completely understand.  I think it’s safe to say that we all feel the same way.”  Max replied with a small nod.  “Well, if you head down this road there are shops and restaurants, and if you make a turn just ahead there are houses and apartments, with a little park just a bit further down.  I’m afraid that’s all I can tell you.”

“Im.. Im not sure.. I mean yes.” she said shaking her head “Yes im fine.. I just.. I.. Im a little out of sorts.. I dont quite know where Im heading.. Could you tell me whats around here.. anything..and Im looking for my brother August.”

“Yes, I’m afraid I have...  Are you alright?”  Max replied with a slight, worried frown.

“Oh! I-I’m sorry. Did you just arrived her yourself as well?” She said spinning around after being momentarily startled by the figure approaching her.

“You’re forgetting the magic factor in all of this,” Avalon pointed out. “Of course, nothing is impossible,”

“But magic doesn’t exist...  I’ve never seen it, anyway.  Besides, science and magic couldn’t possibly exist in the same place.”

Although Aleksis was a bit confused as to why she was suddenly above ground and among mortals without actually having left the Underworld, she wasn’t about to question it. She loved to get out of the Underworld every once in a while. “I doubt it’s a dream, òmorfos, but if it is, then it’s one of the best I’ve had.”

“I’m afraid I have to disagree with you there.  This is perhaps the worst dream I’ve ever had, if it is a dream at all.”  Max replied with pursed lips.

“Oh my gosh!”  Max ran over to the other, eyes wide.  “What on Earth were you trying to do?  Are you alright?”

“Okay, so it turns out there’s no way in through the roof either. Here, I’m gonna hop back down–!”

“… Ow...”

She pulled her friend into a hug - both as a greeting and as a motion of support. “Have you seen your sibling yet?” Still trying to figure it out, Solveig wasn’t sure if everyone had been transported or only a select few. “I’m looking for my cousins, but so far, I’ve had no luck. They’re either: not here or hiding somewhere.”

“No, I haven’t...  None of my family is here, as far as I can tell.”  He returned the hug,smiling softly but still obviously terrified.  “Well, I wish you the best of luck, really.  I hope you find your family.”

“Oh, Max, thank god!” With each familiar face found, Solveig gained a slight amount of peace. “If we call it a dream, maybe when we wake up tomorrow, we’ll be back at home.” It was wistful, and while she wished that could happen, something in the pit of her stomach had her feeling it might be impossible. 

“Solveig?  Oh my goodness...”  Max’s eyes went wide and he shook his head.  While he was happy to see his friend, especially because it had been a while since he’d seen her in person, it was bittersweet because her presence made him think that there was no way he could be dreaming.  “I really hope so...”

“A dream would be a perfect explanation for all of this, huh?” Avalon said sarcastically before running her fingers through her hair. She was without a doubt frustrated, nothing made sense at this point. She remembered all too well that she had been in her room, brushing her hair and suddenly, poof. “I could pinch you right now and you would be able to feel it,”

“But... there aren’t any other explanations, are there?  None that would make sense, anyway.”  Max shook his head and ran a shaky hand through his hair.

“No other explanation, I doubt that their has to be? Magic perhaps?” Juliet asked raising her eyebrow

“Magic?  But that’s impossible, magic doesn’t exist...”  Max shook his head.  He was a scientist, there was no way that magic and science could exist simultaneously.

“This would be one hell of a creative dream, that’s for sure.” Juliet stated overhearing the boy as we explored the street. “Unfortunately I don’t think you’d be in any of my dreams Porter and vice versa” 

“I...  I suppose that’s true.  But there’s no other possible explanation, is there?”  Max’s eyes went wide as he looked over at the other.

“This...  This must be a dream, right?”  Max looked around the street he’d found himself on.  Of course he didn’t remember falling asleep, last thing he knew he was observing plant life with his mother, but it was the only logical explanation.  “A very, very realistic dream.”
