Using augmented reality (AR) in digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising is becoming increasingly popular, as demonstrated by Coca-Cola Zero Sugar's #TakeATasteNow campaign, which debuted in the fall of 2023. Coca-Cola launched this creative campaign in collaboration with Tesco Group in 13 prominent UK locations, including busy cities like London, Glasgow, Manchester, Cardiff, and Bristol, as well as significant retail complexes like Lakeside and Bluewater. This campaign, which ran from September 25 to October 15, redefined how brands interact with consumers in public spaces through augmented reality. It provided an immersive experience.
With this campaign, advertising enters a new era as users can engage in real-time, direct interaction with augmented reality visuals on large digital screens—a first for a DOOH campaign. Participants could alter the dynamic visuals on the screens with their smartphones, strengthening their sense of personal connection to the advertisement. With this degree of interaction, the conventional passive viewing experience becomes an active engagement that strengthens the bond between customers and the brand.
By fusing digital and real-world content, augmented reality (AR) in advertising produces an unforgettable, immersive experience. Coca-Cola made use of this in the #TakeATasteNow campaign by including a QR code in the interactive graphics. The distinction between the digital and physical worlds was further muddled when users scanned a bottle of Coke Zero to receive a digital reward on their phones. However, the promotion didn't end there. By linking the online and offline experiences seamlessly, the QR code also gave users access to a coupon good for a free bottle of Coke Zero at nearby Tesco locations.
The use of augmented reality (AR) in advertising has made it possible to interact with customers in new and engaging ways, leading to chances for more immersive and individualized marketing campaigns. It enables marketers to design distinctive, engaging, and interactive advertising campaigns that stick out in congested urban settings and encourage participation. The #TakeATasteNow campaign is a great illustration of how augmented reality (AR) can improve advertising tactics by providing customers with an experience rather than just a product.

Glenn Segard’s AR Tattoo (Caledonia Tattoo)
Most of us imagine using augmented reality (AR) to preview tattoo designs on our skin prior to getting inked when we think about the relationship between tattoos and AR. We didn't realize augmented reality (AR) could accomplish much more than just animate drawings on other surfaces, though, until we came across Caledonia Tattoos' Skull project. This invention gives body art a new dimension that allows it to change and interact with digital components, enhancing the ability to express oneself. It also makes tattoos even more distinctive and dynamic.
Glenn Segard, the creative force behind Caledonia Tattoo, owes his affinity for art to his unusual upbringing. With plans for more augmented reality (AR) tattoo projects in the future, Segard, who is currently based in Vancouver, Canada, is pushing the limits of body art. According to Caledonia Tattoo's bold branding, augmented reality tattoos are revolutionizing the tattoo industry and are "no longer confined to a static image." This avant-garde creative project subverts preconceived notions about body art and welcomes in an intriguing new chapter in tattoo history.
It's incredible to think that tattoos could become interactive 3D artworks. But the useful possibilities are even more revolutionary than the visual appeal. In an emergency, AR tattoos might contain life-saving information about a person's allergies or medical conditions. However, this information would only be visible when viewed through a camera. Critical identification in the event of unconscious individuals may be provided by AR tattoos. The combination of augmented reality and tattoos has redefined what tattoos can be and opened up new creative and functional realms, all thanks to Caledonia.

Major Study Forefront (5)
AR is using for making the navigation easy and smoother. Through the use of augmented reality (AR), companies can create highly interactive platforms by superimposing digital elements like text, graphics, and sound on real-world objects. Navigation is one of the most useful uses of augmented reality, especially for intercity travel. With AR technology, users can navigate complex spaces like parks, museums, and shopping malls more easily by superimposing landmarks and visual directions using the camera on their smartphone. This improves pathfinding by providing lucid, intuitive direction.
Additionally, augmented reality (AR) is extremely helpful in emergency situations because it provides optimized routes that lessen cognitive overload and improve navigation efficiency. Furthermore, AR is capable of tracking a car's speed and using the traffic in the area to provide real-time feedback and safety recommendations. Using apps that walk them through repair procedures and enhance overall vehicle performance, drivers can also benefit from AR in automotive maintenance. AR transforms driving, navigation, and maintenance for a safer and more intuitive experience by fusing digital and physical elements.
AR-enabled navigation applications use a variety of inputs, including object location, initial camera measurement, and the user's location as determined by GPS. They monitor object movement as well. This data is gathered by sensors and fed into the IMUs of the moving objects. Components are designed and overlaid using the data in relation to the user's movements in real time.
There are some examples for AR navigation
"Mercedes’s MBUX Augmented Reality Navigation
This is one of the most successful AR implementations in navigation. It uses AR for loading illustrated navigation instructions and traffic data onto live images. The map also has details such as house figures, street names, and traffic lights status, which you can use for efficient navigation.
Google Live View
Google Live View superimposes information on top of Google Maps. It helps its users in location identification and direction assistance. It also allows you to identify landmarks through multi-modal navigation. Furthermore, you can use LiveView for location sharing and global localization."
(BairesDev (2021))
Augmented reality, or AR, improves navigation in a number of important ways and enriches the user experience. AR gives users a comprehensive, immersive overview of their surroundings by displaying a wide range of real-time data, including text and graphics. For example, museums can enhance visitors' experiences by using augmented reality (AR) to provide extra information, like historical facts or mythologies. By projecting the best routes onto screens and providing real-time traffic information, augmented reality (AR) also saves time by assisting commuters in avoiding delays and improving their decision-making while driving. Furthermore, AR personalizes interactions by directing users to neighboring establishments such as eateries, parks, or lodgings based on their location and interests. This customized strategy increases convenience, strengthens engagement, increases brand loyalty, and encourages customer retention.

While we are talking about the importance of AR in future, we can definitely say that AR in medical field is really important. "Augmented reality had the potential to change healthcare and medicine completely – but we’re still waiting for the breakthrough." (The Medical Futurist (2024))
There are so many examples for application of AR in medical field. I am going to talk about some best examples
Consider what would happen if someone nearby fell suddenly. If you're not familiar with using a defibrillator, it may be challenging to know how to respond due to the stress and rush of thoughts. A large number of people lack the necessary training to use defibrillators even though their prevalence is rising and their survival rates for sudden cardiac events are improving. This problem has a workable solution in augmented reality. You can get real-time instructions on how to use a defibrillator step-by-step by wearing smart glasses with augmented reality capabilities. As a digital assistant, these glasses make sure you follow the right procedures and give clear instructions. It's crucial to keep in mind that while the defibrillator is still ready in its case, the glasses will need to be charged. This technology not only makes life-saving equipment more accessible but also gives regular people the ability to react to emergencies with effectiveness.
"Nurses Can Find Veins More Easily with Augmented Reality"(The Medical Futurist (2024))
Augmented reality (AR) is being used by Medtech companies such as AccuVein and AimVein to streamline the vein-finding process, which is advantageous for patients and nurses alike. These devices project images over the skin to show the location of veins within a patient's body using handheld AR scanners. Thanks to this technology, medical professionals have a 3.5 times higher chance of finding a vein on their first try thanks to a significant improvement in accuracy. AR is proving to be a useful tool in expanding the skills of healthcare professionals and enhancing the patient experience during procedures like blood drawing, with over 10 million patients already benefiting from this technology.

Amazon has improved the online shopping experience with a novel feature called "Virtual Try-On for Shoes," which makes use of augmented reality. Before making a purchase, customers can virtually try on digital replicas of shoes thanks to this new tool. Users can instantly see how the shoes would appear on their feet by aiming their smartphone camera at their feet and tapping the "virtual try-on" button on a footwear product page. “Amazon Fashion’s goal is to create innovative experiences that make shopping for fashion online easier and more delightful for customers,” This feature lets customers experiment in real time with different color options and styles, but it doesn't give them a sense of how the shoes fit physically. In order to help customers make better fashion decisions, Amazon has incorporated "thousands of styles" from well-known brands, such as New Balance, Adidas, Reebok, Puma, Superga, Lacoste, Asics, and Saucony. This innovation makes online shoe shopping more visually immersive and engaging by introducing a level of interactivity that was previously limited to physical stores.

For animating the characters first, they need to be rigged properly. Last session Xinge helped me to solve the rigging problem, and the two characters were rigged.
I have referred some tutorials for doing the animations in blender. I got some tutorial videos which are really interesting and helpful.
youtube
I need to animate 6 scenes. Entry of two characters, Vamana becoming bigger, and placing Vamana's foot on mountain, sea and finally on Mahabali's head and sending him to underground.
Here at the first frame, I have made the first pose of walking after 10 frames I copied the pose and pasted it flipped. Also made the opposite of the pose and made 1 cycle of walking. I just repeated the cycles.
I have animated every scene which required to generate the AR. After this I need to combine these animations, previously created audio files.

Major Study Forefront(2)
Digital media is improving day by day, so technology is using AR, VR etc. Nowadays these technologies are using in many industries. In future these technologies will be more efficiently used in every sector.
Many of us instantly think of Pokémon Go, the worldwide phenomenon, when we hear the term "augmented reality." Even though this game marked a turning point for augmented reality by showcasing its broad appeal and promise, its future extends well beyond gaming. The fields in which we work, shop, and interact as well as our daily lives are about to become heavily reliant on augmented reality. This article will discuss how augmented reality (AR) is changing and how it will become a part of everyday life, impacting industries such as retail, healthcare, education, and more. AR has the potential to completely change the way we interact with the world around us by fusing digital and real-world information together.
Future augmented reality technology promises to completely change how we interact with the gadgets we use on a daily basis, like smartphones. Smartphones will probably eventually give way to AR glasses and headsets as the technology develops. AR glasses could use motion and gesture detection in place of touchscreens to perform common tasks like updating social media, making video calls, and GPS navigation.
The capabilities of AR glasses in the future will far exceed those of current models. Our senses—sight, touch, and sound—will all be combined in these next-generation models to create fully immersive experiences. These gadgets will revolutionize our interaction with the outside world because of their larger fields of vision and capacity to show information in our peripheral vision. Technology for motion gestures will also advance significantly. You could just point at a location and have directions appear instantly, saving you the trouble of typing addresses into a GPS. In a similar vein, pointing at buildings or objects could reveal comprehensive details about them without requiring prior knowledge of their names. AR is improving our perception of and interactions with the world around us, going beyond novelty and into everyday usefulness.
