An Outlander fanatic who really loves Sam and Caitriona (and their alter egos, Jamie and Claire). Became a fan of the TV series first and still am, but attempting to read the books 📖

I was so thrilled to see in 7x08 "Turning Points" the beautiful visit between Simon and Jamie Fraser, as Simon lays dying. It's one of my favorite scenes in An Echo In The Bone, and the actors played it so well.
But what struck me was something simple yet extraordinary.
Jamie wears his kilt during the visit.
Remember that in the aftermath of Culloden, in August 1746 the Dress Act was passed. It banned men from wearing tartan, kilt, and plaid, and all other manner of Highland dress.
The Second Battle of Saratoga took place on October 7, 1777. When the Dress Act was still in effect.
Jamie Fraser wears his Fraser plaid, proudly, in the British camp. As a Continental soldier who knows and cherishes his Scottish roots. Wearing clothing that is illegal in Britain.
It's moving, and daring, and so very Jamie.

🪞 It's no big deal… just mirroring 🪞
Well, there's nothing special about it, nothing weird or anything.
Everyone does it. Every brother with every sister.

🎬 … while awaiting for Lights, Camera, Action! 🎬
Caitlin O'Ryan on Instagram on July 6, 2023:
Two platonic co-stars and the other members of a film crew are waiting for the beginning of a take. There's not really much to see back here. Absolutley nothing new is going on in this world of them. Still just as boring.

My fiance and I met in a circumstance where we couldn't have a relationship because of the rules of our workplace. When we finally decided to tell some of ours colleagues, they said it was obvious because I was very cheerful next to him, frequently reaching to touch him and he was very playful, always trying to make me laugh, ofering his help and suporte with anything I need. We were like: Wow, we were so obvious.
Watching the last video from Marie Claire with S&C, I can see as clear as crystal how obvious they are. How she has to control herself to not touch him and how just by standing by her side he is more "silly" and playful. The face CB makes to him after her first wrong answer is so... its like "awhn... babe, I failed. 🥺 Help me." And he does, trying to give her clues. That's why he always let her win.
IT'S SUCH A MARRIED COUPLE BEHAVIOR! So obvious!!
