I am only just now realizing DU Drow means "Dark Urge" Drow. I've been calling him Du (like doo) Drow. I've been slightly confused about the no name thing because I was like "but his name is Du?"
😭😭😭😭 WHY WOULD I ALWAYS CAPITALIZE IT. WHY WOULD I FOLLOW IT UP WITH "DROW" LIKE ITS HIS LAST NAME. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND

same person who asked about pfps lol, are you more okay with people just saying like "pfp by meanboss" or fully mentioning you with @ or no credit at all?
Your call, I don't mind going uncredited for pfps as long as the user isn't claiming that it's their art.

This ask has a good chance of getting buried with the others, but I'm going to send it anyway because I can't get it out of my head.
You did a really good job making The Bastard™ (Pusszador) look weird. It gave me a really bad feeling looking at the last two frames. I don't know, his smile made my skin crawl.
He seems like the kind of person who, if I saw him coming toward me, I'd would throw myself in front of the first vehicle that passed on the street. Wouldn't say a good afternoon if he entered the elevator. 10/10 he's weird in the bad way.
Thank you! I think it might have been my first time drawing a proper Cazador and I was super happy with the results - plus I was surprised to see so many people be under the impression that his model was short, LOL. Man's got short people energy, I guess!
The distinctive reactions that range from fear to arousal are also great. I guess I was going for both - so I'll take that as a sign of a job well done.

hi! was just wondering, what's your opinion on people who use your art as their pfp? would/are you okay with that?
Yup, totally okay with it and I love seeing it out in the wild!

Wait, I just realised... how much the "would you care to join me at my table" is a prelude to "he'd ask me if I wanted to dine with him"?! Thank you, I'll be in the corner, chewing my leg off. :salute-emoji:
Well, now it is, LOL
In all seriousness, it wasn't intended to be in reference to that line specifically, but a lot of Cazador's torment (ambiguous subject intended) seems to relate back to food and eating- hence why!
The comic overall DOES sort of reference dialogue from the game, Or the ommitance of it, rather - which is a practice I'm usually opposed to when it comes to text interpretation - but in this case I can't deny the very distinctive impression I had in my original run when I first interrogated Astarion on the reasons why Cazador would have targeted him, specifically. I wish I had the exact dialogue-tree on-hand, but he suffers from a lack of curiosity that borders on defensiveness. IIRC, I believe he even chides you for pressing him on the matter.
I expected the game to eventually expound on this - and the fact that it does not probably suggests unfinished writing/accidental overlooking more than it does intent on the writer's parts, HOWEVER!-
I am fascinated by the idea that the reason why Astarion was targeted was, ultimately, as benign as an instance of rejection and very mild ridicule at a party. And that that fact (whenever it became known to him) has been a source of tremendous regret and embarrassment for him since - embarrassment because he wasn't even notable enough to be targeted for political or financial reasons, despite his (nepotistic, but I digress) role as a magistrate. It would also further cement in his head why "no" is a word that must be danced around - he used it once and it fucked up his whole life.

i would be very interested in seeing you draw more of astarion and cazador's dynamic, both before but especially after his transformation
I'm not sure you can expect much of that as I'm not interested in drawing anything quite as dark as the things that transpired in that period of Astarion's & the other spawn's lives, but my fiance has some great comics about it.
I have a short story idea about the night Astarion was turned that I might write eventually, though. Otherwise, I don't even see Cazador as having been that present, really. More like a ever-looming, vague threat who popped in to reestablish his existence and ennact the occasional cruelty rather than a constantly present malefactor. I think Cazador grew very bored and desensitized to everything very quickly, which is why the role of the torturer was bestowed upon his lackeys & implemented into the spawn's routine rather than dished out by his own hands, most of the time.

crunched some guesstimate numbers, yankee band sizing only goes up to 46, so he's either a 46C or a ++D. he would likely have to have extenders (and probably a pretty tight crossback/high closed back with not a lot of underarm space) added to his straps to prevent them from rounding his posture at that size, and his chances of ever finding anything off the rack are slim to negative. (i eyeballed a 3d model of him and then took some conversion measurements, take this with a lamp-sized grain of salt. sincerely, the same anon who called astarion's ovum century eggs. hello again!)
I would believe whatever century eggs guy tells me so I assume this is all true. Wherever will Astarion get his beau matching bra & pantie sets now 😔
By the way, can you sign this for me? 🫱🥚🖊️

The poem (?) in the new Cazador piece is superb! Did you write it? It's so evocative but also eerie, so good
Yes I did, thank you! I don't have many opportunities to do it but I enjoy writing short things like that.

Hey! So, just a curiousity, because I see you get a lot of asks: are there ever any questions that you choose to ignore or delete?
Yes, but not often, and it's usually more for the purpose of cleaning-house than anything else. I get about 10+ asks a day and between me spacing them out to avoid spamming people's timelines, drafting things away for later, and just prioritizing art rather than answering asks, a lot of things get missed.
I do occasional ask compilations but those don't ping the folks who made the question, so they have their downsides - I've had to make peace with the fact that I just can't reply to everyone a while ago : ( the stuff I ignore on purpose is a fraction of what doesn't get answered.
On that note, I would also urge people to read my FAQ, it's at the bottom of my pinned post. I get asks that pertain to something that's been answered there on a weekly basis.

I must say, I do love your take on Vellioth's appearance
Most people tend to depict him as an Astarion lookalike with longer hair
What made you choose a different appearance?
Thank you, but the vellioth take is actually based on @barbatusart comic De Rerum Natura! I can take no credit for it.
