Earth’s Black Box !
the scientists' creation will be installed in a remote location in Tasmania.
"Unless we dramatically transform our way of life, climate change and other man-made perils will cause our civilization to crash.
“Earth’s Black Box will record every step we take towards this catastrophe. Hundreds of data sets, measurements and interactions relating to the health of our planet will be continuously collected and safely stored for future generations.”
“The purpose of the device is to provide an unbiased account of the events that lead to the demise of the planet, hold accountability for future generations and inspire urgent action.
“How the story ends is completely up to us. Only one thing is certain, your actions, inactions and interactions are now being recorded.”
Speaking about the project, Jim Curtis, executive creative director at Clemenger BBDO, told ABC: “The idea is if the Earth does crash as a result of climate change, this indestructible recording device will be there for whoever's left to learn from that.
"It's also there to hold leaders to account – to make sure their action or inaction is recorded."
Earth's Black Box will collect measurements of ocean acidification, land and sea temperatures, human population, energy consumption, military spending and atmospheric CO2.
As for its size, the box will be made from three-inch-thick steel and cantilevered off granite.
The inside of the box sees a system of Internet-connected storage drives that are powered by solar panels on the Black Box's roof.
The project is made possible thanks to a collaboration between researchers at the University of Tasmania, agencies Clemenger BBDO and The Glue Society.

Hi Tumblr,
We're looking for more voice actors for our horror fiction podcasts. Does that sound like you? Apply here!
Our current call closes on August 27
Who are we? Bloody FM is the podcast arm of Bloody Disgusting. We're the production team behind shows like Mayfair Watchers Society, SCP Archives, Dead Space: Deep Cover, and many more!
We're also the network home to hit fiction shows like Tower 4, Re: Dracula, Scare You To Sleep, and Creepy!
To say we love horror is an understatement!
What is this audition for?
This is our open roster call. For all of our original productions, we primarily cast from our roster. This may include working on shows like The Dead, and SCP Archives, or maybe something totally new and unannounced.
What do I need to prepare?
Just your voice! We've provided sides, and a form to fill out that will ask all the important questions (like "what kind of mic do you use?")
And if you already have a demo reel, that's great! We've left a space where you can provide it alongside your audition.

I know vampirism is often used as a metaphor for the drain of the aristocracy but I think it would be fun to have more vampire characters who were just some guy before they got turned. You seek out the most ancient vampire in existence and find out he was a 40 year old wheat farmer in ancient Mesopotamia when he was turned 7,000 years ago and he hasn’t been doing much since then.

I know, I know, I posted a casting call, like, a month ago, but I've got another one, this time for @phantompulseband!
the requirements are a lot more specific on this one - you have to be based in the LA area (we'll be doing entirely in-person recording) and be able to sing rock/punk/grunge. but the submission window is a month long, so please share it around!
