long time no update

my tablet broke so I’ll likely have to do all the pages traditionally and then carefully color it with the little responsiveness my tablet has left (because it can’t do lines for the life of it)

the ball is beginning to roll but it has to get past the speed bumps first

Am I creating slightly more work by doing this all traditionally first? Probably. But I’m still no good at sketching ideas directly into my digital program so I should probably do it on a surface where I have more control over my pen movement

think i've spent enough time dawdling, I need to set a goal that every day I'm off from work I get at least one page done.

I currently can’t sleep so I decided to draw Viola getting the absolute best nights sleep to see if that works. And it might be working, I’m more tired now than I was 10 minutes ago

Viola is hardly recognizable with her bangs but she won’t have them tucked away all the time, it’s quite often they fly free actually-

Viola outfit count because it’s totally important

Intro: 1. Her default Traveller outfit.

Part One: 5. Traveller outfit, borrows two of Mae’s outfits, her Popstar outfit, and her party dress for the Princess’s birthday.

Part Two: 1. She slowly modifies her Thief outfit over the course of the part but it’s still the same outfit.

Part Three: 1. Princess with and without coat. She’s asleep the entire time I don’t think she needs a costume change.

Part Four: Still Princess.

Part Five: 5. Princess, Flower, Sweets Princess, Nimbus Casual and Cultural Festival garments.

Part Six: 2. Princess and Ultimate Princess.

New Lumos: Princess.

Afterstory: 3. Default Elder gown, Retired Princess, Retired Flower.

As you can see she wears her princess dress for a majority of the story, I just don’t draw it as much anymore because truth be told, I love her Popstar dress a lot more 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

waaahhhh, looking over the draft and I am terrified and excited for neksdor

excited because its my favorite region, and so I put a lot of care into making sure it's unique plotline was as close to perfect as possible while also working in cohesion with the main overall plotline

terrified because the thing is 1,600 pages long to cover all of it

Had a bad dream the other night that someone’s been using my art to trace/reference for commissions, and it wasn’t like a little kid who just started drawing. That would be forgivable, this was like a huge artist with thousands of followers tracing/copying my designs and drawings for profit 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

This drawing was one of five I vividly remember being affected, because someone made a callout post on this artist and included this picture. What was the scary part of it that made me more sour than the copying part, was that I was the one getting accused of copying afterwards. The proof was right there and everyone still sided with the tracer 🙂‍↕️

Woke up when my cat jumped on me, which was right before the hate started getting really bad but I’m thankful.

Perhaps this is my brains way of reminding me of events from the past because I have been through similar things, with people reposting/tracing/copying my stuff, obviously not on this level, but the odd minor incident here and there. But it does make me a little scared that no one would back me up if this ever happened 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

I do not have Spade or Roses anymore because I forgot I sold those characters and the two I sold them to have me blocked so I can’t get them anymore 🙂‍↕️

This one I think ended up disqualifying me from the event, I remember the one of the mods telling me something about “it’s creative but premade backgrounds go against our art theft policy”.

So even if it counted for nothing and gave me a strike, I was still pretty proud of this for a time after. The prompt was Deep Sea and I knew right away I needed to run and grab all the fish themed things in the bathroom and make something out of it, drawing an old OC of mine Marina for the mermaid.

She’s still kicking around somewhere, I used to keep her on my desk like this but then I went to college and haven’t seen her since.

YES. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Mae will ALWAYS be the top pick for any ghost prompt ever, she’s always been associated with the dead, her powers are fuelled by the dead, she is dead inside like the dead

This was before the decision to make her blind however. Her eyes are normal… why…

Oh right and I remember this drawing is super weird and I never figured out the reason for this but my physical copy of that drawing was red. The orange parts are red irl. Idk if my camera was just bad at the time but it was the first and only time such a drastic color change occurred, and the other colors are unaffected.
