Um. Merry Christmas? I'm not actually dead, just my usual intermittent mess of a person.

(Even been playing a bit of Sims 4; I didn't finish the Reaper's Rewards challenge but I'm doing the holiday one with the same little family and I may post a synopsis of them since I think they'll turn into background in one of my story saves before long.)

As per tradition, I spent Christmas Eve and Day faffing around in Second Life, and collecting some seriously nice freebies along the way.

Known Issue: Character Values/UI for Child + Teen

More info on it here but it's a pretty big one. Basically whenever I go into UI for a child or teen, the scroll options don't work, the menu options won't show up afterwards and I have to force quit the save. So if you're playing with families/legacies, this could potentially be an issue for you.

Since that rules out most of my current saves, I'm probably just going to do an one-off challenge with a young adult and hope that I won't have the same issue in that file.

For the record, I do not nor have ever used mods or cc. This is a completely vanilla gameplay issue.

Also if you're a bigger account, no obligation but maybe consider reblogging this for greater visibility, as it seems to be affecting quite a few players and I know that a lot of Simblr does legacy gameplay.

Day 4 - Elimination Ceremony

Welcome to the auditorium, Star-Shines! You lost the challenge and now, one of you will be leaving Total Drama Sims.

We've got a mix of emotions here. Flo is in positive spirits, knowing that she's going to try her best to protect her friend Drew from elimination. However, Takashi is feeling anxious despite being exempt from the challenge!

The votes have been cast, and they were all over the board. Only 2 people didn't receive any votes! Those two people are Coffee and Flo!

The following contestants are also safe, despite receiving at least 1 vote:

Drew and Tristan received the most votes out of everyone, and guess what? Their votes are tied! It's time to get my handy random number generator for the first time this season to determine Drew and Tristan's fates...

...yeah, I reloaded BG3 and added some new hairs and head presets and re-made my little Seldarine Drow Bard, Corydon, to try again. (And it's really weird getting used to the controls all over again, too.)

Day 4 - Challenge Day

It's time for another challenge! This challenge's movie genre is romantic comedy! The teams will be divided into 3 pairs each, with one person from each pair tasked to find the other within this two-story maze. Once they find their partner, they must find the exit of the maze together. The first team to have all 3 pairs exit the maze wins invincibility!

Due to uneven teams, one person from the Illustrious Star-Shines will be sitting this challenge out, and my random wheel of names has chosen Takashi! Takashi is exempt from this challenge and will be waiting outside for his teammates.

Now, onto our pairs! My random wheel of names has decided our pairs at random. The person's name that's bolded is the seeker and will be finding their partner within the maze.

As soon as I said "go," Coffee and Tristan were off right away! Coffee is the first seeker to find her partner, but fortunately for the Illustrious Star-Shines, Tristan wasn't that far behind!

Neal is the first of the Renowned Big-Names to find his partner, Enzo! Enzo was very excited to be found. However, Hans is the final seeker of the Illustrious Star-Shines to find his partner. So far, the Star-Shines are in the lead!

But the Big-Names begin to catch up when Paulina and Liana find their partners. Toni looks relieved to be found!

Coffee and Ashlee, Tristan and Flo, and Enzo and Neal are the first 3 pairs to exit the maze, with Liana and Willabelle following close behind... The lead the Star-Shines are having is beginning to narrow.

But Toni, with a confident look on her face, knows that she is the last of the Renowned Big-Names to exit the maze. She secures victory for her team and Willabelle and Liana are quick to celebrate!

THE RENOWNED BIG-NAMES WIN!

Unfortunately, despite the Star-Shines being on-track for their second victory, Drew lagged behind in the maze at the very end, which allowed the Big-Names to secure victory instead. Ouch...

Day 3 - Socialization Day

It's a new day! Despite their loss, the Big-Names remain in positive spirits. Toni (RB) and Neal (RB) spent their morning together watching funny videos together!

Meanwhile, Takashi (IS) attempts to make friends with Tristan (IS), but sadly, all Takashi got was a disgusted look from Tristan. Tristan made no hesitation to let Takashi know that he finds him too friendly for his tastes.

Enzo (RB) and Paulina (RB) spent most of their day getting to know each other 👀 Although no flirtatious words were exchanged, I definitely think these two were checking each other out... What do you think, guys? Could there be something between them?

This is by far the fastest-growing friendship I've ever seen. It's only been a couple days and Drew (IS) and Flo (IS) are already considering each other great friends! These two just absolutely clicked on the first day and have not left each other's side since. Not to mention they were thrilled when they ended up on the same team together! Yep, this is most definitely an alliance! These two aren't voting each other out anytime soon.

However, this isn't the only alliance that's beginning to form. Toni (RB), Willabelle (RB), and Liana (RB) have also been pretty tight with each other. They spent their afternoon hanging out by the trailers! Although their connection is not as strong as Drew and Flo, there's definitely camaraderie here and everyone sees each other as valuable allies to have.

Although fairly peaceful on the first day, Tristan put down his nice-guy facade and let his true colors shine today. Hans (IS) also attempted to buddy up with Tristan, only for Hans to get scoffed at and dismissed. Then, Tristan angrily insulted Liana after she answered a math-related question incorrectly.

In the end though, our second socialization day ended with a dance party to hype everyone up for the next challenge!

"Hm... Drew and Flo, huh? I'm not particularly close with them, so... I gotta do something so they don't eliminate me like Brody... I'm so bummed Brody got out. Us not being on the same team was one thing, but him getting eliminated first? Not fair!"

"Well, at least I'm kinda tight with Hans. I should form an alliance with him. I wanna make sure this game is mine and mine alone, because am I gonna let these people take the grand prize away from me? Absolutely not!"

I bet Tris is rolling his eyes about the team names, but he's probably harboring some secret relief over not being a last-pick. So... go, Star-Shines!

Day 2 - Team Sorting

Rise and shine, everyone! Today's the day you will all be sorted into teams. And after that, it will be time for the very first challenge!

But before we get into all that, you all need a shower. You stink.

It was a rather peaceful morning here at the film lot. That is until Hans caught himself on fire... Hey! TDS isn't TDS without someone catching themselves on fire!

Now that everyone's all clean, it's time to gather everybody outside to commence the team sorting! I know you're hungry, Enzo, but you also needed a shower and life here isn't always gonna be sunshine and daisies, pretty boy!

My random wheel of names has spoken! The captains of our teams (aka the ones that will be picking the members, no special treatment here!) are Hans for Team 1 and Toni for Team 2! They will now select their teammates schoolyard-style (alternating between boys and girls) based on their relationships with the rest of the cast!

The first 3 members selected by Hans for Team 1 are Coffee, Tristan, and Ashlee! Each of them have a relatively positive relationship with Hans (despite Coffee not particularly liking him back)

The first 3 members that Toni picks out for Team 2 are Enzo, Liana, and Neal.

The last 3 members that Hans selects for Team 1 are Takashi, Drew, and Flo!

And finally, rounding out Team 2 are Willabelle, Brody, and Paulina!

Team 1 shall be christened as... THE ILLUSTRIOUS STAR-SHINES!

Day 1 - Socialization Day (part 2)

Oh? What do we have here? Brody making friends with Tristan? Now this is an unlikely pair! However, even though these two seem to be getting along, Brody is getting the sense that Tristan is not a very trustworthy person, so he's secretly hoping Tristan doesn't end up on his team...

Meanwhile, Toni had some major success with building relationships today, as she managed to make friends with not just Liana, but Willabelle too!

But Toni wasn't the only one who totally clicked with another contestant. Flo found herself buddying up with Drew! The two have a lot in common and they seemed to enjoy each other's company.

Our very first day of TDS2 came to a close with a rather peaceful dinner (aside from Flo very obviously spying on the boys...) Although friendships have been made, it's only a matter of time before we'll see how many of those connections will rift and break apart.

The first challenge is tomorrow, and according to Flo, Enzo and Neal were speculating on what team they'd be on and what the first challenge will look like. Just you wait, folks!

Today's Confessional: Liana Morris

If you're a returning player, you already know the drill! But if you're a new player, here's how the confessional works:

Every day, a different contestant will use the confessional to provide their thoughts. It gives them a chance to have some screen time and to get an inside look on how they're feeling! Liana is going to be the first contestant of the season to use the confessional, so here she is!

"Um... Okay, I don't really know what I'm supposed to say during these confessionals, but I want to say something. So far, this has been way better than my grandparents' house. Toni and Willabelle are super nice and I admire how confident they are. I guess if anything, I'm getting the sense that some people aren't as they seem... I don't know who they are, but I've been feeling this uncomfortable aura whenever I'm with everyone. Whoever they are, I think I need to stay away from them."

Day 0 - Introduction

🎵 Dear Mom and Dad, I’m doin’ fine. You guys are on my mind… 🎵

Welcome to the premiere of THE 2ND SEASON of Total Drama Sims: the hottest, freshest reality TV show on simblr. I'm your host jonquilyst, though if you tuned in to the show last season, you'll already know who I am!

14 more teenagers have gathered to put their wits, guts, and strength to the test to seek out the ✨ grand prize. ✨ Like last season, they will compete in crazy challenges, deal with less-than-perfect living arrangements, and face the judgement of each other!

🎵 You asked me what I wanted to be, and I think the answer is plain to see… 🎵

🎵 I wanna live close to the sun. Pack your bags 'cause I’ve already won… 🎵

Allow me to give you the grand tour of the no-longer-abandoned film lot we claimed for this season! Instead of cabins, contestants will be staying in these cramped trailers, just like actors on set! There's one for each team with 7 beds each and complimentary bathrooms.

Our mess hall is a bit less rustic than the one we had at the summer camp, but it's got that same ol' charm with 2 dining tables and a small living area for everyone's convenience!

Now, on to the fun part: replacing the shoddy outhouse, our contestants' destination for providing their juicy confessionals will be a makeup trailer right behind the trailers! Get used to it: it'll appear every single day with a different contestant providing their thoughts.

And finally, the auditorium! This will be the site of our ever-so-exciting elimination ceremonies. In front of it is the walk-of-shame, where losers will say goodbye to Total Drama Sims to catch the lame-o-sine at the very end!

Yea... about that: teams will be sorted a little differently this season!
