Annual I’m Alive Post

Ever since the kiddo developed the ability to talk back at me, I’ve not had as much time for this blog as I’d like. I’m still here, lurking. Hopefully I’ll find some time to be more active again. 

@tarmahartley it is VERY overdue, but thank you for reaching out last Christmas. It meant the world to me. <3

Donations for Emotional Support Dog

As a single mother who does not receive child support, I was hit hard when I was furloughed last year due to COVID-19, as I know many others were. When I was allowed back to work, my financial situation did not change as my paychecks were less than what they had been before being furloughed.

It's been a year since then, and my anxiety has only skyrocketed and my son has also been greatly affected. He's 5, soon to be 6, and is missing out on the joys of childhood because he's stuck with just me or his grandparents and has no siblings.

After much deliberation, and after talking to my former therapist, I have decided to get a puppy, one that can be a companion and family member to myself and my son and one that I know will act as an emotional support animal, as my previous dog had. It's a big financial responsibility, but after all we've been through, I know it's the right decision.

I'm trying to raise some money so I can afford the cost of the puppy as well as some of the basics I'll need for the pup. This is something that'll most likely be 6 months out, but I'd really appreciate any and all donations.

I understand times are tough for everyone and that this isn't something that may be viewed as important but I truly would appreciate any and all help.

Part ½

I don’t normally do this kind of thing. I draw comics but not fan comics. 

I’m continuing the trend of posting rough comics because it takes too long to clean them up and make them pretty. But I’ll get to that eventually. This is my take on the infamous Forbidden Hospital scene from Trials and Tribulations. Also, don’t get on my ass about Edgeworth swearing. I’m convinced he came across that dumb statistic that links swearing to higher intelligence, and swears as a mark of his immense academic aptitude.

I will clean this up when I can. Also you can totally tell that I just gave up with the last panel.

Thinkin’ about Klavier and Apollo realizing their relationship is serious.

Like, they’ve been together for 6 or so months, and that’s the longest either has ever been with anyone. Klavier’s had several relationships with both men and women, but they’re usually short-lived, lasting an average of 2 or 3 months. Apollo plain hasn’t been in a relationship before. Sure, he’s managed to go on some dates, but he’s always been kinda awkward and never could get himself past a third date.

And so they’re both navigating new territory, and it’s honestly a little overwhelming. Like, Klavier knows it’s still far off, but he’s starting to think about them moving in together, and getting married, and, oh god, maybe even adopting kids, and isn’t that just terrifying? Apollo’s having the same thoughts, and for a while, they’re too anxious to bring it up with each other. They’ve never had the “Where’s this relationship going?” conversation before, and they don’t know how to approach it.

Klavier’s the one who broaches the subject first. He’s sitting on the sofa in his apartment with Apollo leaning against him, both of them working in a comfortable silence—reviewing cases, finishing paperwork, etc. It’s getting late, to the point where if Apollo doesn’t leave soon, he’s gonna have to stay the night (not that Klavier’s complaining — and ach, they really should just move in together, shouldn’t they?)

And Klavier just goes for it: “What are your thoughts about marriage?”

Apollo initially freezes up. “Uh... W-Why do you ask?”

Klavier shrugs, trying to keep his cool, even if he’s a nervous wreck on the inside. “I’m preparing a case against a woman accused of murdering her husband, so I got curious.”

Apollo hesitates, feeling his palms start to sweat. “Um. Well. To be honest, I never even thought I’d get married until...” He suddenly clams up.

“Until... ?” Klavier prods him.

“Until... uh...” Apollo’s a flustered mess by then, and that’s when Klavier realizes.

“Schatzi... Have you thought about us getting married?” Klavier asks, finally being brave enough to just come out with the real reason why he brought up the subject at all.

Apollo’s gone all red. “Yes,” he admits in a mumble. “N-Not right now obviously! We still haven’t been together that long and, um... I’m not ready for it yet.”

“O-Of course.” Klavier can’t help but start to stammer as well. “Nein. I’m not ready either. But I’ve thought about it, too.”

The conversation ends there, but they’re in a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions for the night because oh god, their boyfriend has thought about marriage too, and they really should move in together, why haven’t they moved in together yet?!

Apollo does stay the night, and by the time they settle in for bed, they’re far more relaxed, comfortable and perhaps even excited in the knowledge that there’s been a sort of... shift in their relationship toward something significant.

With the change in seasons, and the update to Muriel’s story, I am feeling newly inspired. So I am opening short story commissions. Have you ever wanted a story about your MC and their Arcana love interest? Well now is your chance! For one ko-fi ($3) you will receive one story featuring your MC and their LI with your choice of:

First, Second or Third Person

Safe for Work or Not Safe for Work content

Point of View (which character do you want to be telling this story)

Overall Plot

Each story will be 800 words (about 2 pages) minimum and will be delivered to you as a PDF (or Word doc if PDF doesn’t work for you). 

Please note that I will not write any non-con, incest, excessive gore, or underage content.  

Guidelines:

Send me a ko-fi commission with your tumblr url, your apprentice’s name and preferred pronouns and Love Interest, and finally, an email address where I can go over the details of your story as well as send the finished product. 

In your email to me I will need: 

A description or reference photos of your apprentice

Please be sure to include as much detail as you can about your character such as their personality and interests. I want to be certain that I am being true to your character. If your apprentice is nonbinary and asexual and loves shrimp but doesn’t like the color pink for some reason, I want to know. 

Your choice of First, Second, or Third person

Your choice of Safe for Work or Not Safe For Work 

If you choose Not Safe for Work, include any kink you would like included
