here the world waits
here the world waits with bated breath, fingers, white, trembling, holding on to the edge of infinity fists balled up as it rocks back and forth, like waves pummeling the rocks, back and forth. back and forth. it waits. it anticipates. it counts each passing breath, each tap, each heartbeat. as the stars look down in witness, the earth is still. the birds are silent. here the world waits.

all I will be
I found God, sitting in His bathtub, a cigarette dangling from His mouth. The bottle shards surround Him, its contents and His own, a pool of red, red wine.
He takes my arm, staining it red, and promises me salvation if I should join Him.
If I get in the tub, all I will be is red wine. But looking into the eyes of God, how could I resist?
