IBDP CAS Exhibition
Date:10.10.2019 & 18.10.2019 Venue: TKC Foyer
I got the chance to showcase my personal project during the IBDP CAS Exhibition. Many people were there especially the representatives from the ministry of education who were assisted by TKC’s principal, bonda. The first booth they visited is the IBDP’s, located right next to the school’s office. By representing the projects that were held makes them felt excited to know more, leading them to ask some questions regarding particular projects.
We had so much fun too because we were able to visit the mainstream students’ booths, exhibiting their journal and projects called SAA. They even have a booth for every clubs and unit they had in the school such as math and science club, English club, geography club and many more, and all of them did such a great job.
From the exhibition, I learned that everyone has their own preferences in choosing their own way to exhibit their projects. Some make videos, bullet journals, novels, and so on. We have our own ways to get creative. Let the creativity flow! Also, I learned that it is important to be convincing when presenting our ideas because it will leave good assumptions and perceptions from others.

TKMUN 2019
The third episode of taking a part in MUN conferences. For this time around, the conference was held at the TKC, involving the SGE schools from Malaysia. There even foreigners attending this event.
This TKMUN was initially conducted by my senior named Afrina and she managed to come with her friends, even though she has graduated from this school. This shows that she really devoted herself to this particular area. For her, this project is her treasure.
The reason I was there is to manage the ceremony, by controlling the PA system and technicality such as slides show, background music and more. My other friends were also there but doing different kinds of jobs. Photographer, runner, and assistant.
This works taught me to be quick yet in a careful manner. I need to avoid making mistakes that will affect negatively the entire ceremony. Since the event was considered a huge TKC event, the school’s pride needed to be taken into good care. Therefore, I have to be professional and alert all the time.

TKConserve Wildlife
Date: 5.10.2019
Venue: Malacca Turtle Information Centre, Masjid Tanah, Melaka
Nothing could beat the feeling when you personally engage in the wildlife world. I actually got the chance to meet the hawksbill sea turtles while on our trip to Malacca. And it was good to know that the hawksbill sea turtle also known for its legit alluring natural patterns on its shell even the pictures can’t really capture its beauty.
We were there, at the Malacca Turtle Information Centre to gain some knowledge regarding the turtles and how were the species doing today. Nearly all species of sea turtle are now classified as endangered, with three of the seven existing species being critically endangered. Human can be really inhumane for slaughtering the turtles for their eggs, meat, skin, and shells. The fact that they are just a form of innocent animals does not give us the right to exploit them as they deserve an equal amount of treatment just like we do. I almost teared up a little after seeing the vivid pictures of unlawful human activities occur in our world today, even in Malaysia.
As a responsible human being, I am trying my best to avoid producing many plastic wastes because potentially, it can be eaten by sea creatures therefore, harm sea turtles and other creatures that live there. While shopping, I made it a habit to always have my shopping bags with me for convenience purposes at the same time, being eco-friendly. Instead, use more reusable plastic ware as a substitution. I also participate in beach clean-ups and reduce plastic use to keep our beaches and ocean clean.
Remember, big things often have small beginnings. Starts now and make changes.
Related quotes: “Please keep the sea plastic-free.”

Waste No Food Programme - Kechara Soup Kitchen Society, Seremban
Date: 1.9.2019
What a best way to start a new month.
So, this is also a part of the CAS projects initiated by my cohort mates. In collaborating with Kechara, we learned a lot of interesting things. One of them was the information about the location that we went to- Kampung Sri Mambau.
Kampung Sri Mambau is a small housing area with a lot of art streets Σ(・口・) From the pamphlet that I got regarding the art street, there are almost 50 different arts. Unfortunately, our time is quite limited so we only had the chance to capture some good pictures with the sunflowers painting in the background (as in the last picture).
Our aim is to aid the residents of Kampung Sri Talang in terms of their grocery supplies. Kechara really helps us a lot throughout the event. They even collected groceries from well-known Malaysian supermarkets, such as AEON as they both are partnerships.
I learned so many things while I was there. Firstly, I get to know about the types of vegetables. Haha. It is not like I never cooked. It is just that I want to start a sharing session and talks about the vegetables that we all not know. Secondly, I learned the importance of being multilingual. I was astonished and felt little envy with my mates that can talk in mandarin. The way they talk with the people was so natural making the conversation more interesting because they do not have that language barrier. So far, I have been studying german language and seeking to learn mandarin too by watching Chinese drama. It was also really fun to interact with the elderly because they are get tagged along very well.
In the future, I really hope that I can still actively contribute to the charity event to build strong ties with their community

IBPlogging
Date: 8.7.2019-10.7.2019
Venue: Bandar Baru Enstek
You know what plogging is?
The word plogging is an English-Swedish combination of jogging and plocka upp, which means “pick up” in Swedish. Swedish speakers use plogga, a combination of plocka upp with jogga (“jog”). Both words, though, refer to the same activity of picking up litter while out on a jog. Source: dictionary
We literally did the plogging around the school area. It is better to wear sports shoes or else, you will have a blister and to prevent dangerous sharp and rusty nails by the roadsides, results from the previous roadworks. We never know. So, safety first. (~_^)
Later on, we did some handcraft, by recycling some useful trash that we have collected along the way. The group of mine actually create a hanging wall decoration and the results amazed me. Before recycling those wastes, we did wash it beforehand using Dettol (antiseptic) for microbial resistance purposes.
I learned that there are unlimited ways to protect the Earth. For the sake of saving the environment, I currently practicing 3R rules. Oh, wait! It is 5R now with the addition of new elements-refuse and remove.
Let us save the Earth, our only home🌍

Road to ‘Runway Project’
Date: 19.6.2019
Venue: TKCafeteria
It’s designing time!
Basically, my friends and I joined with the TKC’s Girl Scouts to recreate or decorate existing or unwanted clothes into new wears. It can be a dress transformed into a bag or changing pants into a muffler. It could be anything. While in the process of discussion among their respected groups, they did some research online to widen their perspectives. They even do some sketches and drawing to present their accepted ideas as a group.
I was actually amazed, and at the same time felt intimidated by their outstanding drawing skills. It does look like it was drawn by, probably professional fashion designers or someone from that level. Imagine the power she holds when she is just 16 years old. Magnificent! Meaning that this activity somehow can be a platform to reveal their hidden talents. They had this feeling of wanting to win (competitive) and leading them to produce such high-grade outcomes.
The aim of this activity is to encourage ourselves to practice the 3R rules- Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. Therefore, we learn not to waste our old clothes when we can channel it for good causes by donating them to the needy such as people who their lives have been destroyed by disaster or conflict. As a result, we can reduce unnecessary waste from home and the earth.

TKCongrats #Aurelia- A fundraising event
Venue: TKC’s Foyer
In an effort to collect funds, an initiative has to be made. We choose to sell flower bouquets on the SPM results announcement day.
Many parents and TKC’s ex-students were there to receive their results. Even the mainstream students were at the booth to buy some flowers for their favorites sister/s.
We managed to sell all the flowers on the first day of sales, making huge profits from it. As a result, we can channel the money for good purposes especially to conduct our future CAS projects.

TKCancer Awareness Programme (Continuation)
Date: 11.3.2019
Venue: Budiman Hall, TKC
As the series continues, I have attended to a lot of talk and seminars regarding cancer awareness. It is good to have exposure to these diseases and acknowledged the danger of it so that we can prevent it before it is too late.
The students’ works, the posters were also exhibited on the whiteboards. This effort is to showcase and share views about their artworks among their friends. The winners of the contest also received their prizes from the speakers. It such a great to acknowledge their outstanding skills. They are great designers, indeed.
Besides that, there were also nurses that can help us to examine our health-especially detect cancerous cells that might already be developed in our body. We grabbed the chance to do the health examination. The nurses and the doctors even provide some useful health advice and convinced some of us to receive a thorough examination at the hospital.

Sewing Workshop - Jahitan Tulang Belut and Jahitan Mata Lalat
Venue: IBDP’s Conference room
Sure I know how to sew when my pants or clothes were torn and needed to be fixed. But, I only use and repeat the same stitches pattern and definitely the sewing patterns that I know was the most simple one.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ← Yup. This one.
But this time around, not anymore. I learned 2 new sewing patterns named Jahitan Tulang Belut and Jahitan Mata Lalat. This session was conducted by a skillful TKC’s staff and she is very passionate about sewing. During the lesson, I can feel that I am struggling because I need to multitask. First, listen to the instructor. Second, my hands need to do the stitches. Third, see my friends' work. Even so, the instructor understands us very well and she even supervised every one of us. As a result, I think I did it pretty well and I actually satisfied with my stitch work. I guess it is because of the instructor who is being patient with us.
Thank you for teaching me. Surely I will apply it well and venture deeper into this area.

TKCancer Awareness: Poster-making
Venue: Form 2 classes
This program is also one of my cohort mate’s personal CAS projects. She gets inspired to initiate this awareness by one of her family members who is once, a cancer survivor.
One of the series being held was a poster-making session and it is compulsory for all the Form 2 students of TKC. Each of us was assigned to supervise one class each and I got class 2K to handle. I feel grateful for getting the class because it is said that my class is the only class that successfully completed the tasks. The students of class 2K were approachable and really friendly besides well-mannered. They even greeted me before I start with the briefing.
From the pictures above, we can see that they were fully concentrating on what they were doing. They even asked me for some recommendations and suggestions for improvement, proving that they were really passionate to win the poster contest.
This teaches me to be informative and generous on the things that I can help them with. It is proved that if we treat them right, you will receive the same treatment in return.

My very first road run at TKC - Won a Gold Medal
...and get a chance to take pictures with Bonda.
Yes. I push myself to run even the sun was towering over me. I can feel my skin burning and itching. Want to know what motivates me doing so? Here is the reason why.
I want to get the gold medal but ended up everyone got one. Still salty.
Best way to burn fat and get fit. Not to forget that my body aches too and takes up to 3 days to recover.
Also, I feel really really grateful because the track was far way shorter than my previous school’s. If I can do it well in my previous road run, why can’t I do it now?
Therefore, I found out that I need to have something i.e. dream and goal to keep me moving forward. However, it has to be realistic and suit our capabilities. Or else, we will be experiencing a pro-longed disappointment.
