I have never actually used a tumblr ask before so sorry if this is bad, or you dont plan on releasing this yet, but What's your lore on Endermen?
Does Auspice's End even have Endermen? 'cause most theories on them are that they're human-descendants. I've always liked the "Minecraft: The End" book's interpretation, even though it's very not canon.
Endermen
General
Endermen are an intelligent species and a hive mind that sits in the realm between most others. They didn’t have a need to speak before finding a way into Overworld, in which they started mimicking humanoids and learning their languages. Usually, these beings speak through telepathy and their hive mind. Endermen generally have a very close connection to the fibers that make up worlds (things on the molecular level), hence their ability to pick bunches of roots and grass out of the ground without killing it, and their ability to teleport without harming themselves.
Endermen developed more of an Overworldly culture because of this. They use simple umbrella terms for certain things, like Parent and Chile. For example, they use the word parent for anyone older than them who acts as a mentor. Terms like teacher and mother or father are useless to them, because they are a very interlinked species and a genderless group. Baby endermen, which I don’t have a name for yet, are raised by everyone on their island. Until sometime after Overworlders introduced individual parents to them, a baby wouldn’t have a need to cling to the person who hatched their pearl.
Now, with the ways that Endermen function, they have some pretty frequently used terms within their general population (these are specifically used when they are using verbal speech, as they have no reason to keep terms like this for themselves when they have telepathy):
Parent(s): A mentor, teacher, or generally a caretaker. Parents are used with no switching gender roles, as endermen don’t identify with any genders among themselves.
Child/Children: This term is used in two ways among them; either for small, barely hatched endermen babies, or someone learning under them. This term is used the same way one might use “student” or “apprentice”.
Leader(s): Leaders refers to the few higher beings in the Endermen society, those the parents dragon relies on the most in the hive mind.
Travelers: Travelers almost refers to a subspecies of Endermen developed when more of them became curious about the overworld and spent their lives going and researching it in their own ways. Travelers tend to be half severed from the hive mind to cause less pain to the parent dragon in the event they get harmed in Overworld or The Nether.
Pearls
Ender Pearls are like eggs in a way. They sit somewhere in the chest cavity and are regurgitated when an Enderman intends to hatch a baby. The oily substance on the outside of the pearl is what connects the pearl to the birthparent Enderman. When a pearl is chipped at or tracked, the substance acts as a hormone or chemical, and the parent is transported to the pearl wherever it may be. This form of protection was developed after endermites began trying to crack pearls open so that they could eat the greasy material that fills the inside of them.
When someone who is not an enderman uses a pearl, it is crucial to allow the oily substance on the outside of it to seep into your hands. That substance links you to the pearl, and smashing it to teleport induces the same reaction it would to a birthparent enderman. This causes emotional distress and pain for two reasons:
Due to the substance linking you to the pearl, you grow a fast, somewhat emotional attachment to the pearl, and smashing it causes a parental instinct that sends a normal Overworlder into fight or flight.
Overworlders, even runebearers (aka magic users) don’t have the same connection to things on the molecular level that endermen do. Teleportation tears you apart and puts you back together, which for those who are not enderfolk, causes a sharp pain all over the body.
Using pearls is generally frowned upon in both human and Testificates societies. The use of Eyes of Ender is also no longer needed, and seen just as immoral.
———
That’s really all I have for now, but since you asked about Endermen, here’s a peek at their design for Auspice. 👀

That’s all, my dear. Thanks for asking. Buh-bye! 💚

you said something about of deity from other dimensions i have a theory one might be the Heart of Ender as a deity of the end? and i love you work and your art style.
I’m actually somewhat undecided, however I don’t think the Orb of Dominance/Heart of Ender will be in any place of power during Auspice. Minecraft Dungeons and Legends lore will be somewhat minced in the Auspice AU so I can fit pieces together properly.

do the champions ever hang out together? Do they have beef?
Steven and Alex will meet in the story for Auspice if I end up making a comic. Sunny and Zuri are a couple and travel together! The rest of the Champions are generally aware of each other, but don't directly know each other. There is no current beef between any of them.

❕Style Change❕
If you notice a significant change in the style fo Auspice, you aren't crazy! I have recently been going over the style and vibe I want to give this AU/Story, so I went looking for media that fit, and I was heavily inspired by Cartoon Saloon movies as well as some other more shape-based arts.
The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, and Wolfwalkers have all been huge parts of my inspiration. More of my redesigns and, hopefully, official comics for Auspice will be in this style.
That's all, my loves! Thanks for reading. - The Tot 💚

Champions: A Peek
(Aka Players)
The Champions (In order)
Steven (And his kitty, Teeter)
Steven is a large Champion claimed under the eye of Action. He does not completely shun his title as a Champion, but he is what clerics have deemed an "Inactive Champion". Steven spends his time tending to farm animals and going into the Indevich Empire Capital to sell his animal products. He was raised by a village just outside of the capital, where he still lives in the present day. Teeter is a kitten he found a couple of years after he sprouted. She did not grow very much, and does very little to help with Steve's mouse problem. He doesn't mind. She hunts plenty of bugs.
Alex
Alex is a small, active Champion claimed under the minds of Foresight. She has spent her time since sprouting traveling with a cleric named Bearach, whom she considers her father. She fights for the safety of villages and cities alike. Alex is well-known all over Overworld, and her visits are celebrated the most out of the small number of Active Champions.
Herobrine (N̴̜̎̅́͌̓̉̃ȩ̵̛̝̤̙͖͇̞̻̓̀̽̈̇̽̓̓̆̓̓͊͝î̷͓̼͚͖̼͙̲͕̖̘́͗͜l̴͇͙̮̟̻̺͕̩̼͍̈́/Hero)

Sunny
Sunny sprouted a little too close to a pillager post. When the pillagers found the sprouting baby, they lopped off his arm in sadistic fun, using an enchanted blade which stunted the runebearing magic that was forming him. Sunny's arm never recovered, and upon being fully grown, he was tossed into Illager society. Seeing the way Illagers lived, in such harsh conditions, Sunny leaned into his title as a Champion and became an active warrior of Action.
Kai
Kai sprouted and grew up in a coven far away from the capital. They are a well-known Witchfolk dancer and pay little to no mind to their title as a Champion.
Makena
Makena sprouted in a village far away from he capital, and was raised in a lesser-known city of the Indevich Empire, Wellocks. She owns and runs a bakery there with her wife.
Zuri
Zuri, an active Champion claimed under the book of Knowledge, spends his days traveling and finding old books and parchments to add to his archive, which sits somewhere only he and one other know of. He is a skilled enchanter and redstone technician.
Efe
Efe sprouted among turtles on a beach, found by villagers who lived close by. They were sold to Illager pirates for safety and food sometime after, and was raised under the Illager Empire thereafter. Efe now serves as captain of the Sea's Eye, a large ship well-known in the eastern oceans for being a bad omen among villagers. Despite this, they carry an Eye of Foresight, and live as an active Champion on their travels.
Ari
Ari works as a lumberjack in a Taiga village where she was spouted and raised. She owns a pack of large, fluffy dogs that have added themselves to her little pack in the woods over the years.
Noor
Noor is a well-known Phantom Rancher in the villages far West of the Indevich Empire Capital. She doesn't pay mind to her Champion title, and will even avoid it if she can.

That's all, my loves! I hope you like the new designs. - The Tot 💚

Coming Soon
So, I know I’ve been holding off Auspice for quite some time, and I’m sorry about that. My drive to work on this and my Sheepy AU have been sparse, but no worries, today I got up with the energy to start up again.
I’ll be redesigning quite a few things and finalizing some of my original magic system and all for Auspice. Coming up here soon we have a few things:
New designs for the Hosts and fleshed out/final lore.
New player designs and systems.
A look into the biology of Testificates and their races as well as the differences in them and humans.
Some updated designs for creatures like phantoms and such.
As proof that I am not bullshitting on starting again, cause I know last time I spoke about starting again I was slow to the process, I have for you, a couple of Hosts WIPs.
These are for Action and a little bit of Knowledge! I hope you like them so far.
That’s all, my loves. Buh-bye now. -The Tot 💚

Another question that might be jumping the shark, what's the deal with the alternate dimensions? Why is the End like that, and what even is The Nether?
(If you cannot tell, I am very invested now)
I haven't fully fleshed it out just yet, but I do know that there are bridges between every dimension. The End is one of the dimensions at the very edge of the bridges, which is why it is housed in the everlasting void and not encased by bedrock. Once I have more on this, I will be sure to do a lore dump about it.

A little late to the party, might be re-treading old ground (sorry if I am), but Illagers.
Why they grey?
(This is heavily inspired by Abiogenesis, another Minecraft AU that I’m a big fan of)
Illagers have dark magic poisoning, and over time the grey just became something genetic. The deeper explanation is that Illagers naturally have less Lifesap in them, which also means they’re naturally much colder (physically) people. Their lack of Lifesap has everything to do with the amount of it they use looking into arts of casting and magic that are unstable or unsafe.
The Illager Nexora (the organ that pumps Lifesap in the body, like an extension of the heart) is usually much smaller and more unhealthy. For this reason, the Illager lifespan is also significantly shorter than other humanoids.

Are there any other Hosts out there other than Foresight and her eyes, Action, and Knowledge? You have redesigned the Hosts into the gods of the Minecraft Auspice universe (or at least, that from what I can tell), so I'm very curious if they're like, I dunno, A THOUSAND of them or somethin, or if its just Action, Knowledge, and Foresight with her eyes.
There are actually a few others based on stuff I've yet to get into, plus I'll be redesigning the Hosts and Players for Auspice very soon, which will also bring along updated lore dumps, etc etc. Also also, I'll be getting into it about beings and "deity" type things from other dimensions pretty soon. Lots to look forward to. :D

Renovation
Hello there, my darlings. So, I don't think I have to say much other than that I have not posted in a horribly long time, and with the attention that Minecraft: Auspice built up even with my lack of attention to it, I wanna get the cogs turning again for this project.
I will be revamping a lot of things, not much about the writing but more about the visual aspects of this project.
Past that, I actually want to start getting into some linguistic aspects of Auspice. (If any of you have info on that or recommendations for where I can do some more proper research on linguistics and how to structure fantasy languages in general, I would more than appreciate it).
That's all for this, my dears, I will be posting again soon.
-With great joy, The Tot. 💚

Phantoms (Redone)
I don't have the energy to finish these rn, but here's some lore on Wild and Domestic phantoms.
First of all, the domesticated phantoms are red because I based them on early phantom concepts and the phantom familiar from Minecraft: Dungeons. The more lore-ish explanation for this is a change in their diets and building a tolerance for the sun changing them over time.
Domestic phantoms are much larger as well, being used for riding and cargo in the lore of Auspice. Despite this, domestic and wild phantoms still share the same life cycle stages (Which are also based on old phantom concepts).
In order, the stages are as follows: Hatchling: Ugly and mostly fuzzless. Their tails are very stubby.
Teen: A thin layer of fuzz, longer tail, and bigger wings, still flightless.
Young Adult: Properly fuzzy and able to glide lightly.
Adult: Very fuzzy, and properly able to fly.
With species, phantoms are considered another type of dragon in Auspice. Wild ones get their nutrients out of adenosine, a chemical that builds up during wakefulness. the reason that they tend to attack people who are awake through night etc is because they have a sense for it. Domestic phantoms don't need to hunt like this, ofc since they're kept and fed by their handlers and all. It's rare to find domestics in the wild, but every now and then they can be lost by a handler.
That's about it for now, thanks for reading. Forgive me for the short entry today. 💚 -Tot
