what's a book you read as a teenager that was so magical and personally profound to you it literally changed your life, doesnt matter if the book was actually well written or not. mine's probably the catcher in the rye
#collected works of ts spivet . Not anything particularly groundbreaking#But i found it in an op shop for 2 dollars and the main character had SUCH an effect on 14 year old me#something about the viewpoints if adults through a child's eyes and the sense of your childhood slipping away#+ that weird age where you start seeing your parents as fully realised people not just. Keepers#Also fun for me as I was the map kid. Always drawing maps. And that's what it was about#+ the formatting with the asides and footnotes and diagrams
