One of the songs I associate with Libra!Balan. I'm not even sure why. I tried making this drawing like four times in the past year or so, always giving up, and then just. Sat down and drew it. Yeah.

Okay, who remembers Libra!Balan? I very slightly redesigned him, fixed a couple details that were bugging me, and made him more similar to his future "Lance" design, which I already made some time ago, but plan on re-doing a bit. Don't worry, he's still WonderWorld's most miserable failgirl with gold heels. This was also drawn at 2 am and have no idea what I was thinking with the teeth.

It's my 19th birthday today, so you get drawings of... Me! This is Neo, my relatively new sona, literally just me as a badass skeleton. Their bones are the color of glow-in-the-dark stars and their hair is fabric. So awesome.

Okay so I might've gotten a bit excited about this and wrote a bit too much and that's not even every headcanon I have. I tried to only write down the ones that are actually about the game and not random ideas I once had, which sadly means I couldn't really talk about Doggy Balan, or BWW!Anon.

Posting on main because I've already planned on talking about most of these here eventually.

I think the main headcanon I have is – Maestros and the WonderWorld are almost entirely psychological. Entities made of thoughts and brain magic. When someone enters the theatre, they become psychological too. It’s really hard to explain, but the WW fully changes what you are, and as it is a different dimension, our laws of “reality” don’t apply there. Maestros can leave the theatre, but not for long, they get exhausted. While in our world, they’re more like semi-physical mass hallucinations than “Real Beings”.

More focused on Balan and Lance as people – They have a mentor/student or even parent/child relationship (I’m fine with people seeing them as brothers or even lovers, this is just what I see them as). Balan still respects Lance to a degree, sure, they fight a lot, and Balan is already around the age when Lance corrupted, knowing almost everything about the WW, but he still listens to his advices (as long as they’re not screamed at him)

When our Balan corrupts, the current Lance will give up his heart for a new Balan to be born from it. That’s how they reproduce. The current Lance will die.

Balan is around 1500 years old, Lance is around 3000 years old. Balan spent a lot of his early years in Japan, Lance – in Neo-Assyria. It’s still slightly noticeable in their accents.

All Balans’ hair is naturally coily, they usually have it in protective hairstyles because it doesn’t get in the way of doing insane stunts as much. Balan can easily fix his hair with magic if it gets damaged. Three last words on this topic – Sparkly Teal Afro.

Balan’s body is covered in gold markings, including a big heart shape on his chest. Lance’s markings are similar to those on his tentacles and are more colorful.

Lance’s equivalent of Balan’s hat-mask was a theatre drama-comedy mask.

Lance vapes. Sometimes. Balan smokes weed. Sometimes. They try to hide those facts from eachother and are very much failing. Both have tried cocaine. Any psychoactive substances only work on maestros if they want to. You can’t poison or drug a maestro. It simply won’t have an effect unless they decide they want it to have an effect. They also can’t drink or eat, but can imitate the experience by recreating the human brain’s reaction to food in their own minds. They don’t need to sleep but like doing so occasionally.

Maestros are sexless shapeshifters, but technically they’re AMAB because their presentation is seen as masculine by humans. Maestros usually use he/him pronouns but they don’t mind others.

Getting a bit meta – While NiGHTs exists as a person, Sonic is a character. Balan likes Sonic, it’s why he collaborated with Sonic’s creators to develop a game! But he knew nothing about game development, so it didn’t turn out as good as he expected. What a shame.
