Some Light musings 🌙

I've really tried to see the appeal of a more heavily masculine Light Yagami but that simply is not what he feels like to me.

When I think about Light, I associate him more with traditionally feminine coded symbols or concepts. He is a femme fatale to me. There's an artwork depicting Venus who's drawn in the sky and men surrounding her. And I immediately thought about Light. Light in place of Venus. And the men as the Kira worshippers.

Songs and music with femme fatale figures also remind me of Light. Conniving woman who appear saintly and sweet, charming beauty tucked in wickedness. Catherine from Basic instinct also reminds me of Light.

And there's so much more but I don't want to make this too long but basically Light is an inherently feminine character to me. It even unnerves me a little when I see artwork of Light heavily jacked up lmaooo. Light is a pretty boy first and foremost. I feel like the whole muscle thing fits Mikami more than anything lmaoo. But yeah anyways hopefully this made sense. I sometimes feel guilty for thinking about Light in more feminine ways, like I feel I'm "uwufying" him too much but eh it's just how I see him as and to me he's perfect that way. And Light is a character of duality anyway he can be both masculine and feminine and would pull it off seamlessly lol.

I definitely believe in the headcannon that L loves to tease and draw out Light's pleasure when the two are intimate. Light would be the type imo to get frustrated at a slow pace but L just so effortlessly takes the reigns and denies Light to orgasm.

After a while of this, Light would be so delirious, sobbing but oh his boy is a stubborn one, so even though Light is a mess he still refuses to beg.

But that only makes L even more determined to see Light break.

And when Light finally does, it's the most glorious sight L has ever seen.

The two best reasons to ship anything are:

1.Incredible, deep and detailed narrative themes. The parallels that seem to hit just right, the narrative foils that they can be to each other, the intricate dynamic that's both extremely complex and easily understood. The juxtaposition between something that's harsh and undoubtedly toxic, with the softer undertones, the parts where you read in-between the lines and find a mutual feeling of loneliness from both parts, their intrinsic understanding of each other comes from the mere fact that they're each others mirrored reflections and shadows. In the end both sides will be together forever, and you as an audience can clearly see their tragedy laid out before in a path that blurs pure anguish and tender romance

2.It would be so fucking funny

Light walks into the office, cranky and tense. He snaps at Matsuda to move out of the way, making his way to his cubicle and sitting in his chair with a bit more force than necessary.

Matsuda turns to his coworker Naomi and says in a lowered tone, "Jeez, what's his deal?"

Naomi responds dryly. "He's probably like that because he hasn't been laid in a while."

The two snicker, holding in their laughs.

A few feet away, L turns to look at them curiously, looking thoughtful, as if something just crossed his mind.

The next day Light arrives in surprisingly good spirits, this time greeting Matsuda with a chipper tone and a smile. And also, quite strangely, Light seems to be favoring one leg, his gait slightly off.

Naomi and Matsuda look at the other confused.

L smiles into his cup.
