My dear fellow mutuals and citizens of Tumblr dot com,

I want to take a lil break from all of the fanfiction stuff and talk about something really important.

I'm a citizen of the European Union and also, Hungary. In recent years, the government put more and more pressure on NGOs and human rights activists, and this year, as the cherry on top, tried to ban the annual Budapest Pride. The Parliament passed a constitutional amendment that would allow those in power to essentially stop any group from gathering, if they say they are "against the healthy development of children".

This could include literally ANYONE opposing the ruling Fidesz party...

I'm really proud of the fact that the ban inspired more than 150.000 (according to some sources even 200.000, just for reference, the turnout for the march is usually around 30.000) people to show up, all in support of freedom of expression and the right to gather.

Any time I have been sad and confused, or just simply in pain with my feelings and the whole world, the work of LGBTQ+ artists, writers and filmmakers helped me immensely. To see this community I love and respect with all my heart get this kind of support from a whole variety of social groups was honestly, a great privilege.

We don't have to be the same to support each other, and we certainly don't have to allow a handful of fuckers to pin us against one another so they can do whatever they want without any consequences.

We have a voice, we have strength in numbers, and we have to show up and do our part.

I know sometimes it feels like it's all for nothing, but we have to believe in this, because the faith in our power makes us powerful. Support your local communities, show up for those in danger, and have something to believe in. Because if you have that, you have something no one can take away from you!

Hi guys,

Just a lil update for you.

I've been struggling to write anything lately, obviously, due to the fact that my life is a little less hectic than it was a year ago (there is still a lot going on, but I'm enjoying work recently, just think about that...), and also because I'm massively procrastinating. This fic has been (and still is) my first real story, so I'm anxious about the conclusion, and lost a bit of my confidence along the way. If anyone has some advice on how to get through something like this, I would be happy to hear it ❤️

Thank you so much again for following my story, the boys, the kids, the cat. I have so much more written down, and I'm so sad that I cannot put anything out there for you at the moment! I'll keep trying!!!
