On Fandom Behavior

I’m steaming mad at the moment over some bullshit, so I’m going to make something absolutely clear here.

If you harass, demean or spread rumors about people due to shipping or other fandom drama, my content is NOT for you!  I’m not on your side!

A dear friend of mine was dealing with a creepy misogynist who left graphic gore comments on her fics and harassed her (keeping vague to not incur further harassment on her).  This creep then sends asks falsely accusing her of various things to multiple “fandom police” type blogs, and without even a moment’s hesitation they posted baseless, false claims about someone dealing with harassment.  Not one ounce of critical thinking, just spreading rumors from an anonymous ask anyone could have sent.  And now a group of weaselly assholes are taking fragments of writing out of context to mock her on top of everything else.

I could honestly care less about the morality of fictional characters kissing, but I care deeply about the rampant harassment and purity policing I’ve seen rotting fandoms from the inside out.  This is hurting real people, and enabling some real monsters that will do far more harm than the words on your screen.  Just know that if you participate in this callout bullshit and petty drama I personally dislike you and prefer if you just stay away.  I also will not post any callout posts sent to me so don’t bother, I’m not going to join a telephone game featuring someone’s reputation.  

Log the fuck off and re-evaluate your goddamn existence if you think sending threats or slandering someone is acceptable over fiction.

The brother of Hellbent’s player character, Judah!  The outfits here are his standard, work uniform, and cold weather/ashfall ones.  He’s the platonic route option out of the five total relationship routes.  (Warning for mentions of suicide/addiction under the cut.)

Judah is a trans man who survived being kicked out at 15 and his subsequent heroin addiction and suicide attempt that left him with a TBI and a missing eye.  He’s a dauntless and fierce individual who never backs down on his convictions, which makes him both principled and a little too aggressive and rigid.  His passions lie in fishkeeping and writing, as well as paying what he views as a debt to his brother for working to care for him when he was hospitalized. He possesses a power called Othersight that robs him of the ability to see color in exchange for the ability to see people’s auras.  It also lets him see certain strange otherdimensional beings on occasion, but he doesn’t particularly enjoy that. Sample of a WIP of mine, featuring two more OCs, Faustus and Mephistopheles!  A little interpretation of one of my favorite bits of folklore.  More under the read more!

Mephisto is a duke of hell and a greed demon dealing in wagers and bets, who also has some control over positive probability (aka luck powers).  He’s rather flamboyant and showy, though any truly stereotypical behavior is entirely fake and meant to fool people.  He’s extremely intelligent and manipulative, and despite his more delicate appearance he’s a true noble demon and will vaporize you for messing with him.  He loves coins, money, jewelry, fashion, and also adores Faustus, though he also adores teasing the man.  He runs the Lucky Sevens casino along with his bff Cain.  Unless you’re Faustus calling him Mephi could end your life <3

Dr. Johann Faust was once human, but contracted his soul to Mephisto in return for a fifty year reign where he wreaked havoc on those who tried to control him for his incredible magic talents.  He became a demon eternally sentenced to serve Mephisto, which actually is a pretty sweet deal in his case since they ended up infatuated with one another.  He’s an arrogant but polite pride demon, and he is always hard at work in his lab.  Every host he possesses ends up with purple eyes for some reason, and he uses the name Faustus as his demonic name.  (More based on the historical figure than the plays, aside from his deal with Meph.)  He was inspired by some of the works based on him to summon a poodle familiar. Mephisto is a romance route option for my original universe, Hellbent, though Faustus technically comes along with him so it’s more the poly route.

Some lineart for my OC Cooper!  Also a big chance for practicing wrinkles and folds in clothing lol. A permanently sleepy nephil who may or may not have been involved in an infamous unsolved airline hijacking.  Even aside from his sleepy nature, he’s a major airhead with a 3 second attention span.  He’s the third act boss for a game I’d love to create some day.  (If you like my stuff a lot, commission info here <3)
