Yeah, I have the intention of writing it but both college and my health have been kicking my ass. I’m starting to do better though! Thanks so much for checking in and liking my stuff! Hopefully things will start to calm down soon and I’ll finally be able to post more! I know my updates have been really inconsistent and I can’t promise that they will be consistent going forward, but there will eventually be updates! Thanks! 💕

A Return, or a New Beginning? Pt. 7
Hello everyone! I hope you all are excited and happy with the new events going on in Genshin right now! The motivation gods have blessed me with the ability to write a whole chapter all at once in just a handful of hours, so I hope you all enjoy! Again, its a bit of a long one for me, so I hope you like it! (Previous) Part 6||
After the Creator left for Dawn Winery, Jean found herself once more submerged in work. Papers were strewn across her desk, detailing changes in knight training, a re-assignment of stationing, a diverting of funds to protective details, and half-formed contracts with local businesses to supply various parts of the upcoming celebration, as well as a mostly-formed schedule of events.
She sighed and rested her head in her hands before looking off to her left at Venti, who had surprisingly re-appeared soon after their dear Creator had taken their leave. He had been present for all of her planning thus far, a seriousness surrounding him that slightly unnerved her. Though, he had been surprisingly helpful, pointing out possible gaps in Mondstadt’s defenses and ways that she could further vet the protective detail that she would be assigning to the Divine One.
Despite having long known Venti’s true identity, she was sometimes still stunned that Mondstadt’s favored bard and drunkard was their Archon. But now she was experiencing a whole new type of surprise, and was having a difficult time comparing the serious being in front of her that exuded power to the Bard she often saw utterly smashed at the taverns of Mondstadt.
“Jean.”
She was pulled out of her thoughts at the call of her name.
“Yes Venti?”
He pointed down at the map of Mondstadt that laid between them and tapped it.
“Although we’ve managed to cover most of the security concerns, as much as I would prefer we take additional, more… severe measures… we also need to discuss how we will be keeping the Creator’s condition secret. As loathe as I am to admit it, due to their memory loss our Beloved Creator certainly does not act in a way that many would expect. They only remember living as what they thought to be a normal human being, and thus act like one, rather than the highest being we have. They certainly don’t seem to be expecting any sort of worship or praise.” Venti’s eyes gleamed with concern and determination.
She nodded. That had been one of the things she was concerned about. She, of course, would not want to make the Creator act in any way differently than they would typically, but they must do something to protect them against their fragile condition becoming known to the world.
“Hmm,” She thought, “Perhaps we should go about limiting the contact they have with the general population. I would still like there to be a ceremony showing everyone in Mond that our Creator has come home, and give them all the opportunity to worship them in person, but aside from that we can limit their contact with people. We can say something along the lines of, ‘the Creator is still adjusting to their return.’”
“Hmm,” Venti brought his hand up to his chin, “that might just work. We would need to make a big deal out of the ceremony, and then have the rest of the celebrations take the form of a… festival of sorts, perhaps a couple of days of festivities, games, and prayers led by the church to keep the people distracted. Perhaps there should even be a bardic competition of sorts, where the musicians of Mond show who can sing the praises of the Creator the best!”
At this, Venti returned to some semblance of his usual self and winked at Jean, who let out a short sigh before refocusing.
“Thank you, that sounds like a good plan. A large ceremony up front, and then festivities to let the people celebrate their return, and perhaps to let the Creator know just how much they deserve the worship.”
Venti nodded, and then let out a musical laugh, grabbing his Lyre from where it laid on a nearby table.
“Well then, Acting Grandmaster, it seems as though you have your hands full! I’ll be popping by from time to time to make sure all is well, but I’ll leave the paper work to you! See ya!”
He moved to open the nearby window, and then… jumped out of it.
Jean slammed her head onto her desk and let out a groan.
Somewhere deep in the woods of Wolvendom, two boys tromped along, woven baskets in hand.
“Razor, you haven’t told me why we’re collecting these things. What exactly are we doing?” A befuddled Bennet said, hand curling around the heavy basket in his hands.
Razor grunted a bit, continuing to walk at a fast pace as he sniffed the air and looked in between the trees.
“We are collecting for Creator, to make them strong! Razor will protect! Bennet will help!” Razor sent a lopsided grin to Bennet that showed a little too much teeth, but Bennet’s eyes only widened.
“The Creator! They’re here? Is that why the Divine’s presence has been gone lately! I haven’t felt it at all! So it really is true! I know I missed some Acolyte meeting and everything because… I was stuck in that hole you helped me out of… But I didn’t think it would have been something like that!!”
Razor stood proudly, puffing out his chest.
“Yes, Razor found Creator first! The Creator is kind, but Razor must help protect! The big red fiery man helps too!”
Bennet’s eyes widened in shock, even as he whispered ‘big red fiery man?’ under his breath in confusion, before looking back in the baskets.
“So… why are we collecting shiny rocks, seashells, wolfhooks, small lamp grass, and ascension gemstones?”
“And meat!”
“And… meat. Razor, you know that meat will spoil quickly, right? You would have to give it to them today, or find some way to freeze it if you wanted to give it to the Divine One later. Otherwise, it would go bad, and not help them become strong.”
Razor let out a disappointed whimper.
“Fine, meat later. We collect these because Creator used to make Razor strong, so maybe Razor use them to make Creator strong! Shiny rocks and seashells just pretty offerings.”
“Oh! Well that makes sense. I think I saw some more small lamp grass over there!” Bennet pointed off into the distance. “And we could add in some Windwheel Asters too! Also-”
Albedo busied himself with his investigation. He would have long since returned to his lab up on Dragonspine, but for some reason, he could not bring himself to leave the city. As odd as it was, he was making due with his smaller lab in the Knights of Favonius headquarters.
He usually only used this lab if there was some immediate emergency, or if he was already in Mondstadt and there was something small he needed to do that didn’t require any of his more… elaborate equipment. However, for something as simple as going over the results of the alchemical scan he did on his Dear Creator, he didn’t need any of his more advanced tools.
Not yet anyway.
He looked over the numbers he wrote down in his notes and ran some internal calculations. He let out a concerned hum, and ran the numbers again.
It seemed as though his hypotheses were correct. During his scan, he had taken measure of the amount of Divine power his Dear Creator had left with them, as well as the rate at which it was recovering.
At its current rate, it would be another 7,867 years before you would regain your full power, of which it would take 1,480 for you to begin to retain any of your previous abilities. Even if he accounted for the possibility that your recovery may speed up the more power you got back, it would still be hundreds of years before you gained enough power to use any of your previous abilities.
You were healing… exceptionally slow. Divine beings such as Archons were known to heal quicker than humans. Even himself, a homunculus, healed faster than the average human.
So, it was incredibly odd that the being said to be the most powerful there is, would heal so slowly.
Perhaps you were simply… different. Afterall, there has never been another being like you. You were their Creator, of course you would be different in some ways. Perhaps your… death, as much as he hates to think of it, and the unintentional betrayal of your people harmed you in a manner beyond the physical. Perhaps it altered some part of your very being. Perhaps time worked differently for a being such as yourself? Or perhaps there is some sort of safety mechanism in returning without all of your power, although he could not think of any benefit this would have. And what of your previously red blood? Was it an illusion, some sort of a protection, or such a severe lack of power that your blood simply appeared red at first glance?
He wrote down the possibilities in his notes, also noting that the answer to these questions would require extensive study of the Divine One’s physiology and power, with more… invasive measures. He marked that line of study as ‘likely unable to pursue’.
At the very least, he now knew how long your recovery would take. He couldn’t say much about your memories, but from what he had learned when he brushed up on the literature available about memories and memory loss, it seems as though it may be connected to your loss of power. There had been several case studies in Inazuma where those who lost their visions lost some of their memories as well. Although he couldn’t compare someone as great as you loosing your power to a single human losing their vision, there was at least some precedent to your… situation. Although, there had been no records of those memories returning, just as none of those individuals had had their visions returned, so he really could not say for certain whether or not you would get your memories back.
Aside from this, he had already been able to confirm that much of your power loss was due to your travel to Teyvat before you were ready, as well as your previous… injuries, from several thousand years ago. After he left you with the Acting Grand Master and Master Diluc, he did some additional scans of the area around Windrise, where you arrived, only to find evidence of a massive energy surge that coincided with your transport here. So, aside from his questions as to your slow healing rate, the only thing that was left for him was to find a way to quicken your recovery.
However, finding a method to help speed up your recovery, or otherwise protect you, was an endeavor deserving the attention of multiple people. Though there was no other in Mondstadt who was nearly as accomplished in alchemy as him, and fewer more who he trusted to help him in this particularly delicate matter, he thought that Sucrose would be a good assistant in this case. As she specialized in Bio-Alchemy, and was another Acolyte, he thought that she may be able to bring him a different perspective from time to time.
He made another note to inform Sucrose of the situation and, before closing the notebook altogether, made another note to check in on his Divine One at Dawn Winery from time to time. Just to check in on their condition and update them on the progress of his investigation, that’s all. You were far too fragile at the moment, so it was better to be safe than sorry.
Finally, he closed his notes and stepped away from the desk he had been sitting at for the last few hours, putting on his jacket as he left his lab.
He had some tests to complete.
The rest of the carriage ride to Dawn Winery was peaceful. As you closed in on the manor, you looked out the window to see rows and rows of trellises on rolling hills filled with grapes. Surprise filled you as you realized just how large Dawn Winery really was. You knew that Mondstadt was far bigger than you had expected, but you hadn’t thought that there would be such a massive difference elsewhere. You hadn’t even thought about how Diluc actually ran a very big business, essentially running the entire alcohol industry in Mondstadt, and just how much land that would require.
You were very wrong.
Dawn Winery was huge. Even the manor itself was huge. You knew logically that Diluc basically lived in a mansion, but you hadn’t quite grasped what that actually meant. Although the building was big in-game, it was nothing too out of the ordinary.
This was a rich person house.
Like- a rich-rich person house.
Damn just how much money does this guy have!
Diluc must have seen the awe-struck look on your face, because he chuckled.
“I’m glad you like my home, Your Grace.”
You nodded, embarrassed, half covering your face with one of your hands.
“Sorry, yeah. I wasn’t quite expecting it to be so big. What I knew of Teyvat from… the story, must have been… somewhat inaccurate when it comes to detail. I knew you had a mansion but damn.”
You watched as his face turned pink and he sat there, unsure of what to say. Before he had to respond though, the carriage stopped moving and he immediately took the opportunity to step out before moving around to your side and opening the door for you.
You took the hand offered to you and stepped out of the carriage, stumbling at the height of the drop. You wavered a moment before Diluc steadied you.
“Are you alright, Your Grace?” You could see concern in his eyes as his hands hovered over your waist, ready to catch you if you fell once more.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks though, we don’t exactly have carriages anymore where I’m from so I was just a little surprised at the height.”
He nodded, accepting your answer as he stepped back from you, giving you some space before turning to meet the woman who was walking towards you from the manor.
“Ah, Adelinde, perfect!”
So this is Adelinde!
“Adelinde, if you could arrange for our best room to be set up? We will be having a very important guest staying with us for some time.” Diluc glanced at you before continuing. “And please keep it discreet, I will explain in further detail later on. If you could also call for the usual tailor, it would be appreciated.”
Adelinde nodded to Diluc, bowing to both him, and surprisingly you, in turn.
“Of course, Master Diluc. I’ll ensure the rest of the staff know about the need for discretion as well. I’ll take my leave then.” Bowing once more, she entered the manor.
Watching as she entered, Diluc then looked around to check if anyone else was present. Finding no-one else but the two of you, he turned to you and kneeled.
Before he could get a word in, you waved you hands around and, with a slightly pinker face than normal, quickly interjected.
“Diluc, like I told Jean, you don’t have to kneel or anything! I know Albedo said I’m your guys’ Creator, but I honestly don’t remember any of the things I have supposably done thousands of years ago! To me, I’ve just been a human all my life so there really is no need for any of the bowing or kneeling or anything!”
Diluc didn’t move. Rather, he simply smiled, catching you off-guard.
“Your Grace, just as Jean said, I am happy to kneel before you. It is the very least of what you deserve. Just because you do not remember your deeds, does not mean that you are not deserving of worship and praise because of them. Besides, do you not remember this story you mentioned? You have done so much for us in Teyvat just through guiding us in the way you could! Even if you didn’t know that Teyvat was real at the time, you guided us with kindness nonetheless!”
You faltered. You couldn’t exactly argue with that, but…
“But I was controlling real actual people! Making them fight and complete quests, and for what? Progression in a story I loved? For the ability to control more people? I just don’t understand what is so good about that? It seems so…”
Cruel, manipulative, and controlling come to mind. Isn’t Mondstadt the city of Freedom? Shouldn’t what I have done be hated?
Diluc must have seen the look on your face.
“No Your Grace, your guidance is a blessing! Those chosen as Acolytes receive guidance directly from you! From what I’ve been told, they are not made to do anything. It is simply such an honor to be connected to you that they listen to your suggestions. I myself have longed for quite some time to become an Acolyte, only to now find out that you specifically wanted me, you just couldn’t quite reach me!”
You must have still looked a bit apprehensive, because he continued, eyes filled with reverence and determination.
“That’s not even considering the strength and power you give to your Acolytes. That alone would be a blessing, but the fact that they also are guided by you to travel, do good, and learn more about the world is nothing less than an honor!”
Is it truly that good of a thing that I was controlling them? I suppose… if they all see it this way then it might be fine. It’s not like I can do it anymore anyway…
“Alright Diluc, I’ll… think about that. It’s not like I can guide anyone like I could before anymore, so… Anyway, what was it you wanted to say before I interrupted you?”
With this Diluc stiffened, noticing the obvious change in topic, and complied.
“Your Grace,” he placed his hand over his heart, “I am honored you chose to stay with me. Myself, the staff, and all here at Dawn Winery are here to serve and protect you. I want you to know that if you need anything, anything at all for the duration of your stay, all you need do is ask. Myself and Adelinde, my head housemaid, are especially at your beck and call. And I assure you, everyone working here was hand-picked and I trust them to keep your stay here, as well as your… condition, a secret. You will come to no harm here, Your Grace.”
At that declaration all you could do was blush slightly and nod. After a moment, you regained your composure.
“Thanks Diluc, I’ll keep that in mind.”
With that, he stood and gently took your arm in his, leading you into the manor.
He’s so warm… He really is like a human heater…
As he held the door open for you, you could see that the inside of the manor was just as lavish- if not more- than the outside. For a moment you just stood there, taking in your surroundings until Diluc addressed you once more.
“Your Grace, I wanted to ask if you had any preferences? Anything in particular that you may want during your stay? We can obtain the finest food, clothing, wines, or anything else you could possibly want. We have already called for a tailor, and they will likely arrive around mid-day tomorrow to fit you for a wardrobe fitting for our Divine Creator, and in the meantime, there will be some clothes sent up to your room. But, is there anything that we can possibly get you?”
You turned to him, a little shocked at just how much he was offering you.
“Well, I don’t really have many preferences, I’m fine with just about any food to be honest. Plus, I’m a little excited to see what kinds of foods Teyvat has to offer. And it seems as though you’ve already covered the clothing bit, so there really isn’t anything that immediately comes to mind. Plus, I don’t really drink alcohol, so… thanks but I think I’m good for the time being.”
Diluc looked stunned for a moment, before a strange look of awe came over him, accompanied by a soft smile.
“Well then, might I lead you to your room so you may rest before dinner?” He held out his arm for you once more, and you couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh as you took it and let him lead you.
Diluc shut the door to his personal office and buried his face in his hands.
The Divine Creator, in his manor. Oh my Archons. The Divine Creator. In his manor. And they had wanted him as an Acolyte?!?
He could feel his face burning.
…He needed a moment to compose himself.
After Diluc took in a few deep breaths and was able to somewhat calm himself, he moved to sit down behind his desk and started to ponder the situation he had somehow found himself in.
First of all, he would need to stop his… nighttime activities for a while. He was needed far more at his manor at the moment, and he couldn’t bear to think of leaving the Creator alone in his home. He would also have to let Charles know that he wouldn’t be bartending any time soon.
Additionally, he would need to expect periodic visits from Jean and Albedo, and likely… that bard as well. All three of them will be concerned about the Creator’s well-being and would be looking to update both the Creator and him about their plans to celebrate and protect Their Grace.
Jean would be heading the planning for the celebration, and he supposed he could trust the security detail in her hands, especially with something so crucial and important on the line.
And that Albedo would be studying Their Grace’s condition…
Hopefully we can find a way to get their powers and memories back, or at least find a way to help protect them in their fragile state.
That bard too… he had no idea what he would be doing. With how serious he was being earlier while their beloved Creator was sleeping, Diluc wouldn’t be shocked if he was somehow watching everybody, making sure that there were no slip ups when it came to the protection of the Divine One.
For once, that bard may make himself useful…
And… Sir Kaeya.
Diluc already knew that he would be sent off to monitor his spy networks, listening for any word at all of the Creator’s location and condition, and ensuring that any word that does get out is quickly… squashed.
At the very least this meant that he didn’t have to deal with him.
As Diluc was thinking to himself, he almost didn’t notice Adelinde come into the room, but was able to catch himself before he let any surprise show.
“Oh, Adelinde!” He sat up from his slightly slouched position. “I suppose you want to be informed as to what is going on?”
She nodded.
“Yes Master Diluc,” she started, an inquisitive but firm look in her eye, “what exactly are we dealing with here? You and I both know that room is set aside for only the most prestigious of guests. Even in all my time here, it has only been used a handful of times. Just who are they?”
DIluc let out a sigh, and motioned for Adelinde to sit down, whose eyes widened at the implication that she should be sitting when she hears this.
“That, Adelinde,” he paused, musing at the ridiculousness of his next statement, “Is the Divine Creator themself. That is Their Grace.”
It took the head housemaid a minute or two before she could yet again compose herself.
“The Divine One… In the flesh…” She whispered, shock and reverence mixed together in her voice.
“So, you understand just how important discretion is now. I trust you, so I know you understand just how important it is that you make sure this stays quiet, especially since… the Creator isn’t in good shape right now.”
Diluc could hear Adelinde’s sharp inhale of surprise, but he continued nonetheless.
“They arrived in Windrise today, not remembering anything, and without any of their power. They are… very fragile at the moment. We cannot risk something like what happened thousands of years ago happening again. As loathe as I am to admit it, the knights are doing their job fairly well at ensuring this keeps quiet while a celebration is planned and protective details are arraigned. But, until then, they are in our care.”
“Oh my Archons…”
Adeline sat back in her chair, dumbstruck. Diluc could only mirror her expression of shock and exasperation as he too sat back in his chair, running his hands through his hair before leaning down and placing his face in his hands.
“Oh my Archons indeed.”

New Chapters
So- I've got plot for the next few chapters of 'A Return, or A New Beginning' vaguely mapped out and all ready to write out. It'll still take me awhile to get to new chapters, cuz I do have stuff going on and it takes me a while to write these, but know that I do have plans for the future chapters, and they definitely will come!
On the other hand, if anyone has any particular ideas they think will be interesting for the story or anything they want to see more of, feel free to let me know! That also applies to other Genshin stuff unrelated to my story, seeing as though eventually I want to start writing other stuff too (even if that's a still a bit in the future for now). I can't promise anything, but hey, it'll be fun and I'll be able to keep that sort of stuff in mind!
Anyway, hope you all have a nice day!

A Return, or a New Beginning? Pt. 6
Hello everyone! I have a new chapter for you all! I got a bit excited to write this one, so I hope you all like it! Part 5 (previous)||Part 7 (Next)
For you, waking up was often a sudden, jarring, and overall unpleasant experience.
Back in your apartment, you often had to rely on loud, blaring alarms just to wake up on time. Due to the many things you had to do during your day just to get by, as well as the sheer amount of time Genshin took up in your day, you were often left with little enough sleep that waking up required more… drastic measures.
However, this time you woke slowly. Comfortably.
The blanket on top of you was perfectly comfortable, without being too heavy or hot, and whatever you were laying on was perfectly cushy and soft, despite being strangely shaped like a couch.
Wait… a couch?
Awareness came to you slowly. It took a minute before you realized where you were, and that you had indeed fallen asleep.
It took a minute longer before that awareness really started to hit and you realized the situation you were in.
You were in Teyvat, in Jean’s office. You had just met the characters- no… people you adored for so long, and you had fallen asleep.
How embarrassing!
You slowly started to sit up, pushing the blanket you didn’t remember falling asleep with off to the side, and tried your best to quickly fix whatever bedhead you had. You brought up a hand to rub your eyes, trying to fight away the last vestiges of sleep clinging to you.
How long was I asleep?
Finally awake and aware, you swiveled you head around to see if you could find out, or at least see who was still in the room with you.
You saw Venti first.
He was sitting just off to the side of the couch, apparently having pulled up a chair from the nearby table while you were sleeping. When he caught your gaze, a bright smile came over his face, and he strummed out a light and jovial tune on his lyre.
“Well well! It seems as though our dear Creator has awakened!” He let out a light laugh.
You couldn’t hold back the small smile that tugged at your lips.
“Yeah, I’m sorry about falling asleep there, I’m not sure why that happened. I haven’t been out for too long have I?”
At that you looked out one of the nearby windows, seeing the sun still fairly high in the sky.
“Not to worry, there’s no hurry! It’s only been an hour or two, plus you needed the rest.”
Thank god.
You nodded and took another quick glance around the room. Jean was sitting at her desk, reading through some documents, Razor and Diluc were guarding the door, Kaeya was nowhere to be seen, and Albedo was sitting off to the side at the other end of the room talking with… Barbara?
Before you could question this further, Jean, noticing that you were awake, walked over and knelt before you.
“Your Grace, I see that you have awoken, I’m glad.” Jean smiled a moment, before continuing.
“Barbara has already healed your injury, and has already started discussing your… condition… with Albedo. I assure you, we will do everything we can to ensure your health, happiness, and safety. In the meantime, before discussing such things, is there anything at all that we can get for you?”
Well, that explains why Barbara is here, they seemed awfully concerned about that cut and the golden blood. Plus, they did mention calling for a healer before I fell asleep. Not to mention she’s probably helping them figure out why, in their eyes, their creator is missing their divine power and memories.
Cutting yourself off, you thought about what Jean said. Did you need anything? You were still in pajamas, but you were sure that would be sorted out eventually. You didn’t even know where you were going to stay until all of this was figured out! But, everyone seemed exceedingly kind, especially since they seemed to think you were their divine creator.
“Hmm,” You thought.
I am kind of hungry…
“If it’s not too much to ask, I am a little hungry. I had just gone to bed when I ended up here, and must’ve ended up sleeping at Windrise. It looks like its sometime in the afternoon now, so it’s been a while.” You chuckled awkwardly.
Still kneeled before you, Jean’s eyes visibly widened and she hurriedly spoke.
“Of course, of course! I’ll have Noelle sent up here immediately. Is there anything in particular you would like?”
You were a little stunned by just how eager, yet nervous to serve you Jean was, but continued nonetheless.
“well..” you hesitated.
Hmm… I don’t want to ask too much of them… but who knows when I’ll have this opportunity again. I have always wanted to try Noelle’s specialty. Those pancakes always looked delicious in the game!
“I would be fine with anything, but I have it on good authority that Noelle makes some pretty good tea break pancakes!” You chuckled, happy when you saw that Jean had loosened up a bit and was smiling.
“That she does, Your Grace, that she does.”
After a moment, Jean became serious once more.
“While we wait, I believe Albedo and Barbara have something they would like to ask you.”
With this, she stood, turned, and nodded at Albedo before moving back to sit at her desk. Almost as if on a cue, Barbara and Albedo both walked over to you and kneeled down in front of you just as Jean did.
“Y-Your Grace!” Barbara spoke, reverence in her voice with her hands clasped in front of her, as if in prayer. “It is truly an honor that you have blessed us with your return!”
You could see the shimmer of tears in her eyes as she continued.
“I will do everything I can to serve and worship you, and I am truly blessed to have been chosen as one of the people to help care for you!”
You weren’t quite sure how to react to that. Thankfully, Albedo interjected before you had to explain again how you really weren’t their creator.
“Your Grace,” he spoke in his typical, cool tone, “Barbara and I have been discussing what we know about your condition, and, with your permission, would like to do a more in-depth alchemical and magical scan to get more data.”
Nevermind. I guess I do have to say it again.
You looked directly at Albedo, taking in his piercing gaze, his fluffy hair, and the diamond marking on his neck.
“Well… “ You started, “I’m totally fine with anything we need to do to figure out what is going on, and I would love to know how I got here, but again, I’m just not sure that I’m this creator you all are talking about. I’m just a normal human! I haven’t created much of anything, let alone the whole of Teyvat!”
Barbara looked shocked, while Albedo simply let out a soft sigh, as if he was expecting your reaction.
In a swift movement, he took one of your hands in his own and looked directly into your eyes, audible gasps at his audacity coming from the others in the room.
“Your Grace, with all due respect, I know for certain that you are our Divine Creator. I am one of your Acolytes, chosen and blessed by you. You have guided my actions and shown me so much of the world and of people that I did not previously understand.” His voice was gentle, and his eyes soft as he spoke.
“You, Your Grace, give off the same feeling we Acolytes identify as the presence of our Creator.”
Acolytes?
“Not only that, the moment you came to Teyvat, to Mondstadt, we could tell that our Creator had come home. The bard Venti,” He gestured off to the side, “himself identified that the Creator had come home to us. When he led us to the Creator, he led us to you. That is not a coincidence. That is, of course excluding the fact that, due to your injury,” He winced at this, “we know that you have golden blood.”
He lightly squeezed your hand. It must have shown on your face that all of this was a bit overwhelming.
“Only the Creator has golden blood. It is a trait that only the Divine one has. It is impossible to mimic, to impersonate. Not even the Archons have the Golden Ichor flowing through them. Even if all of the rest could be written off as coincidence, this could not. Only one being has golden blood, and that is our Beloved Divine One. Our Creator. And that… that is you.”
The next few seconds were so quiet you could almost hear the blood pounding in your ears.
There’s no way… but he said that only their creator has golden blood, and apparently, I have that…
“um… that’s certainly… a lot… So, you’re absolutely sure? Even though before I came to Teyvat I had red blood?”
This seemed to unsettle him a little bit.
“Yes, Your Grace, I am sure. Even though I am unsure as to why you may have had red blood wherever you were before you came here, you have golden blood now, in Teyvat. As much as I would like to figure out why you are missing your power, memories, and apparently had red blood prior to your arrival, that is something that can only be figured out with time, study, and data. The fact that you have golden blood now is all that is needed to confirm that you are our Divine Creator.”
Your mind whirled with the new information. Again, you were experiencing a world changing revelation. Through the noise in your own mind, you managed to look down at Albedo once more.
“Whatever tests you need to do, do it.” You sighed, and used your hand not currently occupied by Albedo’s to wipe away a forming tear.
He nodded, and then him and Barbara silently got to work, leaving you to process. Both Albedo and Barbara periodically waved their hands around while magical and alchemical symbols appeared in the air. Barbara quickly worked in silence, and Albedo periodically nodded and wrote down his observations in a notebook he had pulled out of his jacket. After about ten minutes of various gentle poking and prodding, they both stopped.
“Well, Your Grace,” Barbara squeaked out as she stepped backwards and quickly bowed to you, “my scans showed that you are perfectly healthy! Although, you do appear to need a bit more rest. I will be working with Albedo to make sure your health is intact. If you ever need me for anything at all, I will be there!”
Barbara remained bowed for a few seconds too long, so you broke the silence.
“Thanks Barbara, and there’s no need to bow or anything.”
She looked up at you with stars in her eyes and an expression of awe on her face before nodding and walking swiftly out of the room. You then turned to Albedo, who bowed shortly himself before standing upright again and then speaking.
“I am afraid I must take my leave as well. I must go over the results and begin further investigation. When I have the results, I will let you know. As a forewarning, more tests may be needed, but I am fairly certain I have all the data I need to get a start.”
He’s leaving already?
Even though he said he needed to leave, he seemed to… hesitate for a moment. You looked at him questioningly. At your unspoken probing, he relented.
“Your Grace, I-… I wanted to say something.”
“Sure, what is it?”
He fidgeted with his notebook for a moment before visibly relaxing, surer of himself.
“I wanted to thank you, for choosing me. For making me one of your Acolytes. I have learned so much under your guidance. I just wanted to thank you for being a guiding light for me.”
You were stunned. You could hear the deep sincerity in his voice and could see the soft, thankful smile on his face. And before you knew it, he had turned and walked out of the room. You gaped for a moment.
I never would have thought… his ‘guiding light’? I made him an Acolyte? What does that mean?
Thankfully, no one spoke much after Albedo left, and you were content to just sit and try to process everything you had just learned. You did however hear Venti play a calming tune on his lyre, for which you were thankful.
So first off, the Acolytes. Albedo is on my main team, so maybe that’s what that means? That I pulled them? If so, Jean should be an Acolyte too, and Razor, and lots more. Maybe that’s what he meant by ‘guiding light’, me controlling their characters and building them? But that would mean that I controlled the actions of actual living people?! Why would they thank me for that?
You barely noticed as the door opened and a plate of delicious looking pancakes were set in front of you.
And he’s certain that I am a god. This ‘Divine Creator’, and that I’ve just lost power and memories. This is all so crazy! But its Albedo, so why would he be wrong?
You shook yourself out of your thoughts and began eating.
The pancakes were truly delicious, and now that you had had them, it made perfect sense why everyone wanted to try them. They were easily the best you had ever had, and certainly worked to both distract you and lighten your mood.
Unfortunately, they were gone too fast.
As soon as you had finished the remaining four in the room, Jean, Diluc, Razor, and Venti, all turned to look at you.
Jean and Diluc stole a glance at each other, and seemed to be waging war with their eyes, until Jean sighed and once again walked over and knelt before you.
“You know, Jean, you don’t have to do that. Like- kneeling before me or anything. I literally only found out I’m supposed to be some god like five minutes ago.”
She smiled and put a hand over her heart.
“Your Grace, I am glad to kneel before you. It is only what you deserve. Nonetheless, now that Albedo and Barbara are working on investigating your condition, it is pertinent that we find a safe place for you to stay. With your permission, we would like you to stay at Dawn Winery for the time being, while we arrange the proper safety precautions and plan for a celebration in your honor. Because of your situation, it is safer if you stay with him, at least for now. You will be safe and protected there, I assure you.”
She wants me to stay at Dawn Winery with Diluc?
I stole a glance at the man himself.
Still guarding the door, Diluc looked back at you and nodded, confirming his thoughts on the topic.
“Well, if he’s fine with it, I suppose that makes sense, I just don’t want to be a bother.”
Diluc, from the door, fervently disagreed.
“Your Grace, you would never be a bother. It would be an honor to me and my home if you would grace us with your presence, and trust us with your safety.”
There’s that voice again.
You looked between the two.
“Well then, sure. Why not?” Everyone smiled at that.
After all of that, it was fairly quiet while Diluc called for a carriage to take the both of you to Dawn Winery. Apparently, the carriage was necessary because they wanted to keep your presence a secret from the general populace for just a bit longer, due to your lack of power and the impending celebration. Which you were perfectly fine with, as walking to Dawn Winery at the moment sounded very tiring.
Every once in a while, while you were waiting, you stole a glace at Diluc, only to see the man smiling to himself quite cutely.
Time passed quickly after that, and the sun slowly began to sink down in the sky as you passed the time exploring Jean’s office. Eventually though, a knock was heard on the door and an NPC- no, a man you had never seen before let you know that the carriage was there.
Before walking out the door, you waved goodbye to Jean, as she promised to keep the both of you updated on the progress of the investigation and the celebration and security preparations, and then turned to say goodbye to Venti.
You walked up to him, somewhat nervous.
“I suppose I’ll see you soon Venti, thanks for the songs.”
His face showed a sincere smile.
“Anytime Your Grace, anytime. Afterall, this is the City of Freedom. You may hear my songs anytime you wish.” He turned away for a moment, before looking back at you as you made your way out.
“And, Your Grace? Welcome Home.”
And then he was gone.
Stunned for a moment, you made your way over to Razor next, who looked up at you brightly.
You desperately wanted to pat his head.
“Thanks for helping protect me Razor, you’ve done a wonderful job.” He beamed at the praise.
“Razor will protect!”
You laughed, and pat his head.
“I know bud, thanks!”
You could see him touch the spot you pet him in with wide, awed eyes, and couldn’t help but chuckle as Diluc led you to the back entrance of the Knights of Favonius building and around the corner, where the carriage was.
Diluc walked ahead for a moment and opened the door for you, giving you his hand and helping you into the carriage like a true gentleman before getting in himself.
The carriage itself was very comfortable. There was plenty of room as you sat across from Diluc, looking out the window at the city of Mondstadt, and then the surrounding countryside.
It was beautiful.
You spent a good few minutes just looking out of the window in silence, and for a time it was a peaceful silence.
Eventually though, when you were finished looking at the scenery, the air between you two became somewhat awkward.
Small talk it is.
“So, Diluc, even though this has been a bit of a surprise for me, it’s interesting getting to meet all of you. I imagine none of you quite expected something like this to happen either?”
Diluc jumped as you addressed him, and sat up stiffly.
“It’s an honor, Your Grace. The Divine Creator has been gone for millennia, and the only written accounts of you from back then are fiercely guarded and protected by the Archons. Mondstadt is a little laxer in this, due to our Archon’s values, but even so there is little information known about when your return would be. So, while this was wholly unexpected, it is a blessing to have you finally with us.”
You nodded.
“I’m sorry if this is a bit strange, but I have a question.”
He looked a little surprised at this but quickly responded with reverence and seriousness.
“Yes Your Grace? I will do my utmost to answer it.”
“Albedo talked about Acolytes, and how he was one. I may have an idea of what he’s talking about but could you explain what that means here?”
His look soured for a moment before quickly going back to a polite neutral.
“Of course, Your Grace. Acolytes are those blessed by the Divine One, you. At some point, they are said to feel a tugging sensation, feeling as though their very souls are being pulled up to the stars. During these events there is always a meteor shower, said to be a symbol of the Divine One’s preference for an individual. Once that person has been chosen, blessed, they feel the Creator’s presence, guiding their actions and making them stronger. Thus far, only vision-bearers have become Acolytes. It is an honor to become an Acolyte, and exceedingly rare.”
Ah! So it is pulling for a character!
Diluc must have seen your face light up, because he then asked a question in response.
“Your Grace, are you familiar with this? I know you are missing your memories, but you seem to recognize the process behind becoming an Acolyte?”
You nodded, and thought about how best to describe the act of pulling for a character without overwhelming him with the knowledge that to you, he was simply a video game character a few hours ago.
“Before I came here, I thought Teyvat to be a story, with characters. This story was… interactive to a degree. When I gained enough…hmm how do I explain this… power? No, it was more of a resource- well, they were called primogems and they were very hard to come by, then I could pull for different characters, and ‘obtain’ them. This would happen through a meteor shower. Sometimes I got the characters I intended to pull for, sometimes I got others. For instance, I tried to pull you, or I suppose make you an Acolyte, but even if I had the primogems, being able to reach the person I want to is almost never guaranteed, and honestly quite tricky. After getting that character, I would be able to guide some of their actions and make them stronger.”
Diluc gaped for a moment, opening and closing his mouth for awhile before he seemed to pull himself together.
“Your Grace, you wanted me to be an Acolyte?”
He said that as it the thought was unthinkable, which confused you. You furrowed your brows.
“Of course! You’re really cool, even when I did think that Teyvat wasn’t real! Why wouldn’t I want you as an Acolyte?”
Diluc floundered for a minute, which was strange to see, as he was usually so put together, before he whispered, voice cracking and emotional.
“Thank you, Your Grace.”
After that, everything went quiet once more. This time, though, a more peaceful quiet.
After a few more minutes, the both of you looked back out the window, to see Dawn Winery growing in the distance.

Note
I’m glad you were able to update one of my most personally anticipated works in the SAGAU community :)
Also, you flawlessly captured Zhongli’s emotions and thought processes. Well done.
Aww! I'm honored that my little series is one of your most anticipated! And thanks, I was honestly really worried about whether or not I captured Zhongli's thought process and personality accurately enough, so i'm really glad you liked it!

Note
I KID YOU NOT. I FREAKING SQUEALED WHEN I SAW THE UPDATE. EEEEEEEEP. 😍🤩😍🤩 I love the series so freaking much. It is the right balance of protective yandere and soft fluff. Ughhhhhhh. I adore it so much that I might be obsessed lmao
I'm so glad you love it! I just adore all Sagau stuff and I had so many ideas and some free time and I just HAD to add more to my little series lol. Best of both worlds in my opinion, soft and caring, but also- they will totally do almost anything to protect the Creator. Maybe not as much as a strict yandere would, but close enough lol. Thank you for your adoration and possible obsession!

A Return, or a New Beginning? Pt. 5
Hello everyone! Sorry for the couple of months-long wait, I was working on college stuff and it kind of got me distracted and un-motivated. Anyway, here's a new chapter. I hope you all like it! I plan to start writing more this summer, so there will likely be more chapters heading your way soon! Chapter 4 (Previous) Chapter 6 (Next)
Zhongli was very busy.
Though he had only recently retired from his position as the Geo Archon, he had not expected to become busy so quickly, even if he knew little about living as a mortal.
But he had never been happier.
The joy and sense of completeness that he had felt in the last few hours made up for the work he had to do a thousand-fold. He felt better than he had in a thousand years. He felt alive.
He would take this workload a thousand- no, a million!- times over if it meant he would get to finally meet and serve the Divine Creator in person.
The moment he had first sensed that the creator had come to Teyvat, had come home, he thought he had finally lost himself to erosion, only to be proved wrong when, for a moment, he felt Teyvat itself sing in celebration of their arrival. The earth and stone he himself had reigned over for so long cried out in such joy and happiness that he immediately fell to his knees and became overwhelmed with emotion.
Since then, he had become busier than he had ever been, even at the height of his time as an archon, and he was thriving. His plans, which had spanned and developed over thousands of years, were finally being put into place.
The very first thing he had done was call for a meeting of Adepti, where he informed them of the creator’s return and each of the parts they would need to play in his plan to welcome the creator.
He, of course, had already stepped down from his position as archon, and needed to inject himself into the preparations in some other way. He needed to be trusted enough to be the one to ensure that everything would be done perfectly.
Thankfully, he had accounted for this scenario as soon as he decided to retire, and had made himself known in the eye of the public as a scholar of the Divine. It was because of this that he became a consultant working with Wangsheng Funeral Parlor in the first place, to establish himself as knowledgeable in tradition and in the study of the Divine One.
So, he used this status to ensure that he would be the one working directly with the Tianquan, making preparations to welcome the Divine Creator to Liyue.
It had only been a handful of hours after he sensed the Creator’s arrival that he notified the Qixing and, with the fervent approval of the Adepti, immediately became the Tianquan and Acolyte Ningguang’s right hand man.
Since then, he had been working relentlessly on celebration preparations and architectural designs for a palace to be built for the Divine Creator. Designs which he himself had considered and re-considered many times over the years. Afterall Liyue, and especially himself, would be honored to have the Divine One reside in their nation, or even visit their nation. Therefore, a residence worthy of the Divine Creator themself was necessary.
Currently, Zhongli was sat down in an office in the newly-rebuilt jade chamber, flitting through various holy scriptures and diagrams. He had seen them all before, and had long memorized them all, but he wouldn’t- couldn’t- take the chance that he had overlooked something, some inkling of the Divine One’s preference, be it food, clothing, aesthetic, anything. He would not allow himself to make any such oversight.
There was still so much he needed to do.
The celebration itself still needs to be planned, additional shrines and temples built, the best of offerings need to be gathered, A banquet still needs to be planned and arraigned, and the highest quality clothing and furniture need to be procured for the Divine One and their residence, once I finish the designs for their palace and construction can start.
For once in his life, it seemed as though he simply didn’t have enough time to complete everything he needed to, which was a new feeling for him.
Zhongli hummed, lost in thought as he considered how he also needed to consult with the Tianquan about sending a welcoming party to Mondstadt, who had been the first nation to receive the Divine Creator.
Barbados… I hope you recognize how blessed you and your nation are for being the first to receive the Divine Creator… I can only hope Liyue and myself will soon be blessed in such a manner.
He flipped through the several pages of architectural design he had been working on and added another room, intended to house the best trained guards Liyue could provide.
The welcoming party will consist of the few lucky people who will be able to welcome their beloved Creator home to Teyvat, and will be the ones to represent Liyue in its entirety. They must be carefully selected. Acolytes, preferably those of high status, perhaps one of the Adepti as well.
And even though no archon had been made an acolyte, himself included, he planned to be among those greeting the Divine One. He must be among them.
He had waited for this day for nearly all of his 6,000 years. He would not get this wrong.
He had worshiped the creator for nearly all of his existence, through peace and war and death. He had tried to find ways to bring the creator back himself, by any means necessary, and had failed time and time again. He had killed and loved and lost and still the Divine Creator was there for him, watching from just beyond his reach. He had built Liyue, a testament to the Divine One’s love of their people, a place of commerce and collaboration and protection, and still…
He didn’t care how. They were here.
And that was all that mattered.
Together, Liyue harbor would prepare for a celebration the likes of which had never been seen before. They would offer their all to their beloved creator, and serve them with everything they had. The sins of the past would not be repeated. Not on his watch. The Divine Creator would get what they deserve.
Everything.
So yes, Zhongli was very, very busy.
The Divine Creator remained fast asleep. For quite some time the office was silent, sans the sound of the Creator’s light breathing. None present dared to break that silence, out of fear of waking the Creator, who appeared to be exhausted from traveling to Teyvat.
While Kaeya and Razor remained guarding the door, the others in the room moved off to the side to discuss what they had learned.
Very, very quietly.
Jean, hesitant, started what they all knew would be a vitally important conversation.
“Well, first things first,” she turned to Kaeya, “please call for Barbara, and be discreet about it. We also need to inform the others that the celebration needs to be delayed. We need more information about the Creator’s condition before we do anything more. Their safety is of utmost importance and we cannot risk it. I trust you’ll be quick and quiet about this.”
Kaeya, face more serious than most of them had ever seen, simply nodded and slipped out of the room, giving a quick look to Diluc as he left, who simply nodded back at him. As soon as he was out, Diluc took his place guarding the door.
Jean then turned to Albedo.
“Albedo, can you tell us any more about what is happening?”
He softly sighed and shook his head.
“I don’t know much more than I told Our Grace, all I did was a quick check of their health and a short scan using alchemy. I could do a more in-depth test, but that would require the approval of the Creator, and they need to rest at the moment…”
He looked over at where the Creator was soundly asleep, eyes softening, and then turned back to continue.
“Although… I have some hypotheses, which I will briefly explain. I need more information to determine if they are correct, however.” This garnered him a fierce look from the bard Venti, who’s hair and eyes glowed for a moment as he gestured for Albedo to continue.
“First, we know for sure that this is indeed our Creator. Not only is their presence the same as we Acolytes have felt since we were chosen, but we have also seen their golden blood, which is stated to be a characteristic of the Creator in even the oldest of the Sacred Texts. We also know that the Creator is suffering from some form of memory loss. They have no memory of being our creator, or of living in Teyvat, which I have hypothesized is due to them not healing enough prior to their arrival. They only appear to recall living somewhere else. As for how they know about us despite this memory loss, I am not sure. Although, what I stated before about the world they were recovering in having Teyvat exist as a story or as a false reality to protect against emotional or psychological damage is certainly a possibility.”
Silence came across the group once more, until Venti- Barbados- spoke in barely a whisper, musical tone to his voice almost gone.
“So, we don’t know anything. What about the cut? The Creator was the strongest and most powerful of all of us. A small thorn should not have been enough to harm them. I have to wonder if they’ve lost more than just their memories…” He shuddered.
A tension rose among them, and Albedo’s voice wavered uncharacteristically as he responded.
“Yes… about that, I was able to discover part of the answer regarding that in my initial scan. The Creator is lacking nearly all of their power. I would not be surprised if they only had the capabilities and strength of the average human right now. The most likely answer to this is that they returned too early, before they had healed enough,” Albedo’s voice softened for a moment, “our Creator is truly kind and loving, if they returned to us before healing completely.”
He shook his head and continued on topic, a dark look coming over his face. “From what little I could tell, although their power is largely gone it will come back over time, likely many millennia from now. As for their memories, they will either return in time alongside their powers, or not at all. Until then, they are as fragile as a human. However, because they still have a sliver of their original power, they cannot… perish. Rather, they will be sent back to heal for even longer than they had to this time. So, they are mortal in a sense that they are able to be harmed and taken away from us frighteningly easy, but in truth the Creator cannot completely die.”
Venti wasn’t sure whether to cry out in relief that he was wrong about the creator being entirely mortal, or to be frozen in terror at the prospect of loosing the Creator for thousands more years when he had only just met them.
Similarly, Jean, Diluc, and Razor all wore shock on their faces, then determination as they all collectively decided to never let such a fate happen to their dear, beloved Creator.
It was Diluc who then spoke up.
“Then… we need to protect them. Keep them safe. We cannot allow what happened thousands of years ago to happen again.”
Razor fiercely nodded his head.
“Yes, we must protect Creator! Razor will help!”
“Yes,” Jean interjected, “Mondstadt will protect and serve the Creator to the best of our abilities. We’ll have guards stationed around the Creator at all times, and we’ll need to let the Archons and leaders of the other nations know, so that they can also protect the Creator as they are welcomed back to each nation.”
Jean then brought her hands up to her head.
“This is a mess… I’m ecstatic that the Creator has returned and has blessed Mond with their presence, but now there is so much to be done. We’ll need to up security by ten-fold, and in the meantime find a place for Our Grace to reside where they will be safe…” She sighed. “We also need to discretely send messages to the other nations, particularly those blessed with Acolytes, like Liyue and Inazuma, and let them know what has happened.”
Jean hummed, lost in thought for a moment, trying to think of a location safe and worthy enough of the Divine Creator. Mond had been short-handed ever since the Grandmaster and the others had left, and there was no way she could trust the care of the Divine Creator to the majority of those who had large, protected estates in Mond, which was mostly the Lawrences. Just as a thought struck her, Diluc interrupted her before she could speak.
Face turning slightly pinker than was typical, he made his offer. “What about Dawn Winery? Its outside of Mondstadt, enough of a distance away to be protected from unwelcome eyes and ears, and is already guarded by personnel I personally chose, and who I trust not to let anything slip. There, I can also get someone trusted to start working on some clothing worthy of our Creator, seeing as though they arrived in some sort of sleepwear.” He turned his head to the side, turning redder by the second, and took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. “I can only hope that the Creator will approve, and that my residence will be worthy enough.”
Jean nodded.
“I agree, Diluc. For the time being, Dawn Winery will likely be the safest for them, until we can figure out what to do next. We can ask the Creator what they think when they wake. Is anyone opposed to this?”
No one was.
“Well then,” Jean said as she started to feel the tension in the air lessen, “all we have to do now is wait for-“
Someone softly knocked on the door, interrupting Jean. Both Diluc and Razor tensed up, and carefully moved to check who it was. After a nod from Diluc, and an approving grunt from Razor, Barbara was let in.
Everyone felt some of the tension fall off of their shoulders. All of them were relieved. At least now, the Divine Creator can be properly healed, and can rest unimpeded by injury. They would need all the rest they could get, and the Acolytes, plus Diluc and Barbados, would ensure that they get it.
After they woke, their Divine One would be invited to stay at Dawn Winery in Luxury, rather than on Jean’s barely-used office couch, and would begin to be protected, celebrated, cared for, and worshiped as they should be.
Even if they didn’t remember.
Even without their Divine Powers.
Soon, the Creator would be safe. Loved. Welcomed Home.
And the citizens of Teyvat will make sure of it.
Rejoice.

A Return, or a New Beginning? Pt. 4
Hello everyone! Thank you all so much for loving my little story! This is another long one, but I hope you like it! (I think this story may end up being longer than I thought with the way this pacing is turning out, but hey, I guess that's a good thing lol)
This is Part 4. You can find the previous part, Part 3, here, and the Next Part, Part 5, Here.
You couldn’t stop crying.
It wasn’t as if you were in real pain, and you weren’t angry, or incredibly sad about being in Teyvat- about this all not being a dream. You loved Teyvat, and longed to have dreams of adventuring in it, meeting your favorite characters and having fun. Even when it was all just a game, you loved all of it. However, this wasn’t a dream. It was all real.
You weren’t sad. You were just so incredibly confused and overwhelmed.
Nothing you had ever done had prepared you for something like this. Interdimensional travel? Traveling between worlds? Whatever this was, it was too much to comprehend at the moment. It didn’t make sense.
So, you cried.
You sat in silence as Albedo delicately applied some cream you didn’t recognize to your cut. It had a faint floral scent, and gave off a cool sensation as it was placed on your skin.
Mist Flower Corolla?
Even though the cut was small, downright tiny compared to some of the other ones you’ve had throughout your life, Albedo cared for it with an intensity you would have thought strange, had your entire worldview not been destroyed only moments before.
At the moment though, you could barely see anything through your tears.
Soon after you had seen the strange gold blood coming out of your cut, the group had snapped out of their shock and awe and had ushered you to the nearest and softest patch of grass, just off to the side of the path. You were too confused and overwhelmed to care much.
Diluc and Albedo had sat down right in front of you, where they still remained. From what you could tell, they both looked laser-focused in on your injury, despite it being incredibly minor.
They also kept their heads down. Whether this was because of their focus on your cut, or because they thought you were some god, you had no clue. They occasionally mumbled something to each other, too quiet for you to overhear as they carefully used the medical supplies they had on hand to treat your leg.
Your focus was too scattered to pay much attention to them though. However, you did notice when some of the others made their way closer to you.
Razor, who had been standing off to the side watching Diluc and Albedo closely, walked over to where you were sitting and plopped himself down right beside you in a manner befitting a boy raised by wolves. He looked at you with wide, sad crimson eyes, and let out a soft whine. Almost as if seeing you in distress made him distressed as well.
You couldn’t help but want to pet his head like one would a puppy’s. Thinking this almost made you want to laugh at the ridiculousness; however, you were quickly sucked back into the thoughts that has plagued you since you realized none of this was a dream.
What is happening? Why is this happening to me? This can’t be real but it is and now I don’t know what to believe…
Tears were still falling down your face, and every once in a while, you let out a little sniffle, but you still tried your best to calm yourself and finally managed to take in a deep, shaky breath.
You lifted your hands to wipe away the tears from your face, and caught a glance of Kaeya and Jean talking in the distance, looking somber.
Real… Teyvat is real… You thought.
But how? This makes no sense, and now my blood is gold? That’s not supposed to be possible! Is this some kind of Teyvat magic?
You mentally shook the thoughts out of your head and tried to distract yourself.
Your eyes quickly found Venti, who had sat down close to Razor. He was not quite next to you, keeping a respectful distance, but he was still close enough for you to easily see through your teary eyes.
Looking at him more closely, you noticed worry and what seemed to be panic in his eyes, but a smile on his face.
Noticing you looking directly at him, he gave you his signature smile and pulled out his lyre.
He plucked out some notes, which became a soothing melody.
Beautiful…
Even through your emotional turmoil, you couldn’t help but be in awe of the wonderful music hitting your ears. Venti’s music. Somehow, it seemed to soothe your mind.
The longer you looked at Venti, the longer you listened to his lyre, the calmer your mind felt. As a minute passed, what once was a swirling torrent of overwhelmed thoughts and worries about your situation became far calmer. You were able to remind yourself once more to breathe.
You found yourself a little bit calmer, a little bit more collected, even if you couldn’t understand why. You were able to start thinking a little more clearly.
This is crazy, but they obviously know more than me about this. Maybe they have a better idea of what’s happened, if I can convince them I’m not some god that is. But then again, the golden blood…
You cut off your train of thought. You weren’t going to get any answers this way. You would just have to talk to them about this once you get to Mondstadt and hope that they can help you get your answers. If anything, you knew you could probably ask Albedo. He knows all kinds of things.
As Venti’s music finally stopped, the last of your tears dried onto your cheeks, and you did your best to wipe the evidence of your slight breakdown from your face. You took in one last deep breath and looked up at Razor and Venti, who had been eyeing you with both concern and reverence, a look you had never quite seen before, and you spoke.
“I’m sorry about that… But ending up in a place I thought was completely fictional is a bit jarring, especially since everything I know tells me that this isn’t possible.” You let out a sad laugh.
Venti looked distraught for a moment, a look which was mirrored by Razor and, unknown to you, both Diluc and Albedo.
“Your Grace,” Venti hesitantly spoke, “please don’t be sorry…” He trailed off for a moment, seeming almost unsure of what to say before continuing.
“Your Grace, we understand that this has been a bit of a… surprise… for you. But we will still do anything and everything we possibly can to serve you, and to ensure your safety, comfort, and happiness.”
His bright eyes locked with yours, and you could feel the seriousness coming from him. It was with this that you remembered that relative weakness aside, Venti the Bard, this cheerful and musical person, was still Barbados. Was still an Archon. A God.
I’m in the presence of a god.
A god you know about, but still. A god nonetheless.
You took a moment to gather your thoughts and had to struggle not to be drowned in the swirling pool of confusion and worry you had only just got yourself out from. Despite this, you tried to answer at least semi-normally.
“Thanks, I appreciate it, even if I still don’t really understand and I’m still not convinced I’m any sort of God or Divine Creator…”
For a moment, Venti’s expression showed the same extreme happiness you had seen on Razor, before moving back to a soft smile as he looked at you.
However, there was no time for Venti to respond further before your attention was moved back to your leg, where both Diluc and Albedo were seemingly finishing up.
You felt a gauze-like fabric wrap around it where you had been cut. Both Diluc and Albedo had nearly finished caring for your small, thorn-caused cut. You looked down at Diluc, who was wrapping the area. With a clearer mind, you were able to take in just how worried he seemed.
You could feel how careful and delicate he was being as he took care to touch as little of your skin as he possibly could. It was somewhat endearing, how gentle he was being, almost as if he thought you would break if he did so much as poke you.
Now that your focus was on him and you were calm, you took a closer look.
His hair is so fluffy looking! So much fluffier than it looks in-game. Wow… it looks like real life makes him look so much better than the game…
As Diluc finally finished, he looked up and met your eyes for the first time. It took him a moment to speak, but when he did you were taken aback by just how nice his voice sounded. You had of course heard his voice lines before, but hearing him in person, now that you knew you weren’t asleep, seemed far more real.
“Your Grace, I…-uh, have finished wrapping your wound.” He seemed nervous to be so close to you, and moved to create a little more space between the two of you, a movement which Albedo then copied. “When we reach Mondstadt I will personally see to it that you receive the best care possible. It is an honor to be in your presence, your grace, even if you… may not have memory of being our beloved Divine Creator.” He lowered his head in as much of a bow as he could do while sitting down
It was all you could do to not gape at him. Diluc himself, personally seeing to your care? It almost seemed ridiculous, but the lot of them, Albedo included, seemed to think of you as some Divine Creator you had never even heard of in the lore of the game. You weren’t really sure what to think.
“Thank you Diluc. Like I said though, I’m not sure I’m even this Divine Creator you are all looking for. Even so, I’m glad to have met you all. Meeting some of my favorite characters-, well, people I suppose, is something I never thought possible.”
He looked back up at you in shock as you called him by name. He, Afterall, had never been an Acolyte. Had never been recognized as the others had. Out of everyone in the greeting party, he was the only one who was not an Acolyte or a literal Archon. Of course, it wasn’t like he thought you wouldn’t know who he was. You were his beloved creator. The highest of beings who loved all their people. He just- wasn’t expecting it, especially with your memories appearing to be missing. You had also called their greeting party, ‘some of your favorites’.
Unaware of his inner turmoil, you turned away from Diluc as Kaeya and Jean re-joined the group from their discussion further away on the path. Jean strode towards you and, upon reaching close proximity, immediately kneeled before you, while Kaeya lingered off in the background.
“Your Grace,” her clear voice rang out. “With your permission, I would have us move to Mondstadt, to a more suitable location for us to get your injury fully healed, and for us to be able to most effectively care for and serve you”.
Despite the situation, you felt a bit of glee at the idea of being able to see Mondstadt in person. You may even be able to get some of your questions answered.
Your voice projected some of your excitement as you responded to the Dandelion Knight herself.
“Yes, I would love to see Mondstadt!” A smile creeped onto your face and you could tell your glee had reached your eyes. Despite all of the confusion, and all of the questions you had, you still found joy in being able to see Teyvat. Mondstadt of all places. You could see the happiness you felt infect each one of them as smiles burst throughout the group.
You eagerly moved to stand, and you could immediately see all of their eyes’ widen and their smiles falter.
“Your Grace!” You heard multiple of them shout in-tandem.
“Your Grace,” Venti said pleadingly as he too stood, “There is no need for you to strain yourself, please allow one of us to assist you!”
This sentiment was affirmed by several nods from the rest as they all stood up and moved just a little bit closer to you, almost looking wary.
With this, you were once again confused.
Assist me? Its just a small cut? It’s not like I can’t stand or anything.
You stood up and brushed off a little of the dirt that had gotten onto your now-torn pajama pants.
“It’s just a small cut, I’m fine. Thank you though Venti.”
Worry still covered their faces, but you had already started to walk forward. As you did, it was as though an invisible command had been given. The six of them all moved to surround you, and you all started off towards the bridge and Mondstadt itself.
As you started walking, you could see everyone’s eyes flicking back to you every few feet, as if ensuring that you were well enough to walk. Several times you noticed Kaeya, who had chosen to walk some feet behind you, falter in step and let out a concerned sounding hum. You hadn’t known a hum could even sound concerned.
You thought it strange, but certainly not the strangest thing to happen today. You did however find entertainment in Razor, who had moved in-between you and the edge of the road, every once in a while glaring and growling at the thorned bushes as if they would jump out and try to bite him.
Seeing as though you were already so close to Mondstadt, it was only a minute or two before you reached the city.
It looked so much bigger than you thought it would. Mondstadt is huge.
You could feel the cool stone underneath your feet, could hear the birds chirping, could see and hear so many things that you had never been able to experience where you lived. The traffic, buildings, and massive amounts of concrete certainly took care of anything green within a large vicinity.
You had only just begun to take in Mondstadt’s beauty and had passed through the gate guarded by Lawrence and Swan when your group of guardians started to close in around you, almost entirely cutting you off from the view of any passers-by.
“What’s going on?”
From behind you, you heard Kaeya respond in a very serious, matter-of-fact tone.
“Your Grace, I apologize, but for the time being we think that it would be safer for you to be escorted directly to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters, without any interference. There, we will be able to properly ensure your safety while we figure out more about your… situation.”
“He’s right, Your Grace.” Jean added. “Please allow us to protect and serve you.”
You really had nothing to respond to that with.
With everything that Kaeya knows, if he AND Jean both think this is for the best, who am I to argue. I’ll see less of Mondstadt, but at least I’ll get some answers.
“Okay, let’s go then.”
With this, you were quickly swept through roundabout paths and back-alleys to a back entrance of the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.
Once inside, you marveled at how beautiful it all looked. The detailed crest on the floor, the swords and shields hanging on the walls, and even the art looked so detailed and immaculate! Though, you didn’t have much time to look as you were swiftly pulled into Jean’s office, and led to a comfortable couch off to the side of the room.
The rest of them settled into some of the chairs nearby, with the exceptions of Kaeya and Razor, who appeared to be guarding the door.
Jean’s office! I’m really here, in the Knights of Favonius Headquarters! Wow…
You got comfortable on the couch and almost immediately you felt exhausted. You had felt fine before, but as soon as you relaxed into the soft and fluffy cushions you felt as though you had been up for days, rather than the rather short amount of time it had actually been since you awoke at Windrise.
Your eyelids grew heavy, and you tried your best to keep them open. It was getting increasingly difficult, though. You had closed them for just a moment- only a moment! – when you were snapped out of your half-asleep state.
“Your Grace?”
Your eyes snapped open to see Albedo leaning over you.
“If you need to rest, please do. Meanwhile, we will make preparations and call for a healer while you sleep. Your trip to Teyvat was sure to have been exhausting for you. It is to be expected that you would need rest. Please, sleep all you need.”
And that was all the permission you needed. You were out like a light.
Shortly after you fell asleep, Albedo gathered a blanket that had been laying on the other couch in the room, and gently placed it upon your sleeping form. As he did so, he softly whispered to you.
“Goodnight, your grace, I wish you a peaceful rest. We eagerly await your awakening.”
Somewhere far off in Liyue, a consultant named Zhongli and the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, Ningguang, start to work side by side with the Adepti to design and build an elaborate residence for the Divine one. A palace fit for their beloved Creator that makes the Jade chamber look simple and small. A place to house the Divine One permanently if they chose to honor Liyue in that manner, or simply for if the Divine one wished to visit.
Zhongli, known by the Tianquan as a scholar of the Divine One worthy of even the Adepti’s respect, has to curb his excitement at the Divine One, his Divine One, the one constant in his life resistant to the erosion of time, finally arriving in Teyvat.
Nothing will stop him as he ensures that the preparations to welcome his beloved creator home after all his years of existence are perfect.
Having read all of the Sacred texts so many times that they have been branded into his very being, Zhongli has all of the information Teyvat has about the Divine One at his disposal. Everything from what is suspected to be their favorite food, to what they seem to have valued in architecture and even in people is considered and carefully mulled over.
The people of Liyue, after being told in a large ceremony, rejoice at their Creator returning home to them. Festivities are planned and more offerings than ever before are placed at the Divine One’s shrines all throughout Liyue.
As whispers make their way though the harbor about glimpses of the Divine Creator being seen by citizens of Mondstadt, secret plans for a welcoming party are made.
Similarly, in Inazuma, the Electro Archon has come out of her plane of Euthymia and has shown herself to her people for the first time in many, many years. At her command, messages are sent out across Inazuma, telling citizens to prepare to welcome the Divine Creator.
The Kamisato Clan, who had previously been panicked at the missing divine presence from their Acolytes Ayaka and Thoma, were for once relieved at this message from their Archon. This, however, sends them into another panic, as the Yashiro Commission has been tasked with overseeing the celebration planning right alongside their Archon and Yae Miko, the chief priest of the Grand Narukami Shrine.
Somehow, the Electro Archon’s message even reaches Watatsumi Island, where a temporary truce is made due to the higher priority of the Divine Creator’s arrival.
People all across Inazuma, even those who had previously been wrapped in hate, fear, and resentment, all rally under the cry of their Archon.
“Praise! For our Creator has come at last!”

Ahh I love your series!!! It’s so good. I honestly love that no one thinks she’s an imposter and the conflit is that the creator is mortal and doesn’t remember the past!! Can I please be added to the tag list? It’s phenomenal!
Aww, thanks so much! I thought it would be interesting to have a SAGAU where there isn't an imposter, and they aren't all crazed yanderes (not entirely anyway). They'll just be a little... overprotective of their dear mortal Creator hehe. But anyway, you're all added to the taglist and ready to go for the next part!
