“Hands gesturing gently on the surface, the object attached to the body. The closer you have it the warmer it gets, or maybe itís just your idea. The word digital originates from the latin digitus which means finger. Our fingers now demand the connection to the digital more than ever; touching smart devices that sometimes are smarter than us, sleeping next to them, staring at them, waiting for them to collect our emails, to store captured moments, to wake us up. Gaze targeted on the small screen, fingers swiping the smooth glass, you donít feel alone even if you are. The desiring machine is always there, an intimate prosthetic device, that feeds from you and feeds you. It will always break down and you will always get attached to the next one.”
