Have you ever dyed your hair? Today I spent half the day dying my hair. It looks fantastic, if I do say so myself. 😏 I like to change my hair every few months or so. I like variety. . . . Hot cocoa or apple cider? I feel like this is the age old debate over which seasonal beverage is best. I’m going to have to go with hot cocoa personally. What’s your special talent? I can sing slightly above the average person. I did take voice lessons, but I feel like it’s a special talent. Oh, and I write. . . . How many times have you read the Harry Potter books? Confession time... I’ve only read them all once. I’ve listened to the first couple on audiobook after I read them, but I haven’t revisited the wizarding world in years. Now the movies I’ve seen about twenty times... give or take a few. . . . This book is my favorite of them all. It also happens to be my favorite of the movies. Well, part 2 is. I just love the grand finish. It’s nice when everything wraps up nicely. Which do you prefer: cookies or brownies? For me it depends entirely on my mood. Chocolate chip cookies are my comfort food. Ghirardelli brownies, though, are phenomenal. What are you going to be for Halloween? I don’t really have any Halloween parties this year, so I will be an ordinary chaperone for my kids while they go out. They’re going to be Sally, Jack, and Zero from Nightmare Before Christmas. Yes, I like to dress my children in themed costumes... . . . Bubble baths or scalding hot showers? It honestly depends on how much time I have. But I think if I had it my way, I’d take bubble baths everyday. They help me to relax and unwind. Who is your favorite witch/warlock? Mine is Manon. She’s fantastic and is also my favorite character in that whole series. My favorite sorceress, though, would have to be Morgan le Fay. I’ve always loved her, especially in The Squire’s Tales. In that, she’s good deep down, but dark around the edges. . . . Nothing quite says Halloween like a stack of #harrypotterbooks does it? What are some underrated magic books? Everyone is all about Harry Potter, but what about those other series revolving around magic? Ella Enchanted is probably one of my favorite stand alone books of all time. I read it for the first time about 20 years ago and have since read it about 30 times. It’s just so good! What are some of your favorites? . . . Today my kids are going to paint tiny pumpkins I bought at the grocery store. We‘ll carve the real ones later on this month. When one lives with humidity, one must wait until the very last minute to carve in order to avoid rot. 😬 Back in Dallas, we learned the hard way that pumpkins don’t last on your doorstep for more than a day or two.
