I just figured out a great “alternative” to self harm. Technically it is still hurting yourself but it doesn’t have a possibility of killing you or leaving horrible scars you will be left with for the rest of your life. And it’s safe.
I’ve always had issues finding alternatives to self harm because for me, the comforting thing was the blood and all of the alternatives I’ve seen do not include blood so they never helped me.
So here it is. Poke your finger with a CLEAN needle of some sort, push the blood out and wipe it wherever you would usually cut. This has really worked for me and i feel like it could help A LOT of people. I may get t worded for this post but it’s worth it if it helps even one person. Please stay safe, I care about all of you so much 💕
Also I’m very manic right now so I’m sorry if I repeating things or things don’t make a bunch of sense

This also applies to touching pregnant women’s bellies. For some reason people think that just because a woman has a baby bump, they can touch it. Just. Fucking. Don’t.
Consent does not just apply to sex. It goes for anything. Whether that is hugs, or a pat on the shoulder, or even a handshake. 
People also do not need to disclose their trauma as validation for why they do not want to be touched. People are allowed to say “no” to any form of contact, whether they have trauma or not. 
Quit taking “please don’t touch me” as a personal attack on you. 
Respect people’s bodies. Respect their boundaries. Please.

How to ACCURATELY calculate calories burned while working out!
We have all seen those cute “easy 100 calorie workout” posts. But sadly, those calories burned aren’t always accurate to what your weight it. A person who weighs 180 pounds is going to burn more calories than someone who weighs 135 pounds. So I’ve done the math behind how to get a perfect count
KEY THINGS TO REMEMBER
• Each workout has their own level of intensity which will therefore burn different amounts of calories
• To get an accurate count, each exercise must be done for a full minute without stopping.
HOW TO CALCULATE
• Each exercise below has a matching decimal
• Take the decimal associated with whatever exercise you did and multiply it by your current body weight
• That number will tell you how many calories you burned in one minute of that exercise
Squats~ .096
Push-ups~ .037
Crunches~ .022
Planking~ .022
Jumping jacks~ .037
Arm Circles~ .007
Mountain climbers~ .059
Lunges~ .059
Donkey/Back kicks~ .030
Walking~ .014
Running/sprinting~ .096
Stairs/ Stair climber~ .044
Weight Lifting~ .022
Box jumps~ .096
Burpees~ .059
EXAMPLE
For a 135 pound person- one minute of burpees will burn roughly 8 calories a minute
For a 180 pound person- one minute of burpees will burn roughly 11 calories a minute
I hope this helped any confusion of how to accurately count calories with out the use of a Fitbit, calorie tracker app, or just guessing. Happy exercising!

Hey there fellow ed sufferers,
If you exercise, no matter whether you're just getting started or have been exercising for months, no matter if it's just once in a blue moon or if you have a strict daily routine, you're undoubtedly well acquainted with muscle soreness, and i know it's not stopping some of you from working out, but listen,
IF YOU CAN POINT TO THE ACHING AREA WITH THE TIP OF YOUR FINGER it means you most likely pulled something which can evolve into a tear and become very serious if you don't let your damaged muscle rest. Take a break from working out right now to avoid any further injury and wait until the pain has totally subsided. If it hurts again after some reps it means it hasn't healed yet!
If you can't get rest and absolutely need to exercise, try to switch to a different muscle group in order to relieve the injured tissue.
But PLEASE just rest for at least 5 days, get good sleep, nourish yourself to the best of your ability and let your body repair itself!
You can also use an ice pack to reduce inflammation, try some gentle stretching or massage in some over-the-counter cream or gel to ease the tension.
Just TAKE IT EASY for some time, i know it's frustrating but please take care of yourselves guys. Stay safe!

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:
IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.
1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.
2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.
3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”
4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”
5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.
TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.
