RECENTLY THE PHILIPPINES HAS BEEN STRUCK BY TWO TYPHOONS. Typhoon Rolly (Goni) last November 1 that affected a lot of Filipinos residing in the Bicol Region (Southern Luzon), and Typhoon Ulysses (Vamco) that affected Metro Manila and the Northern part of Luzon. 

Currently, there are places all over the Philippines that are still affected by heavy flood that went over people’s houses, destroyed their businesses, as well as agriculture. It would help if you could just donate a simple amount as a little could go a long way for Filipinos.

she  could  feel  her  body  go  numb,      hand covered in blood as she shakily tried to apply pressure on her own wound before henry took over.  she could feel henry trembling and all she could do is to hold on to his forearm,  hands shaking and almost to the point of complete numbness.  hyunji had never struggled to keep her eyes open like this before,  while it seems to be an easy task to do,  it’s taking all of her energy to just stay awake. 

          with her other hand,  she slowly brings it up to touch his cheek,  a soft gesture,  quite possibly the softest she’d ever been around him.  a faint smile graces her already-paling lips,  not quite as bright as it used to be as she’s literally on the verge of dying.  a lump forms in her throat,  because to say it would be to admit that it could very well be the last words she’ll say before she dies.  if she had the luxury of living,  then maybe she would have prolonged this further,  but she feels herself slipping more and more. 

          although she desperately wants to hold it in,  to not say it until she’s entirely certain that he’ll never have to face danger with her,  she understands that there are some things she’ll just have to say before it’s too late.      “   i love you,  henry.   “      \      @goldhhearts​.

the  hand  on  her  waist  feels  warm  even  through  the  layer  of  her shirt.      she allows herself to be pulled closer to him,  like it’s the resolution to all the buildup in her system for weeks.  there are flashing lights in her mind,  telling her to  NOT  GO  THERE.  that henry is a colleague and someone nice enough to keep her hidden from her entire family.  but she feels the strange pull of gravity towards him,  like they’re opposite poles on a magnet waiting to collide. 

          “   i can take those guys out in three moves,  two if i’m feeling particularly lazy.   “      though she’s shorter than him by —  give or take  —  a foot,  she uses that to her advantage.  situates herself just between his legs and places both hands on his shoulders before standing on the tips of her toes.      “   you,  on the other hand,  i can take out in just one.   “      she tilts her head and gives henry a smile before closing the gap between them,  capturing his lips with hers like it’s all she’s ever wanted.

she  laughs,      a light an airy one,  almost like it could belong to a schoolgirl if they both didn’t know just how cruel her laughter can be at times.  with a small intake of breath,  hyunji dares to move closer,  bringing her index finger to brush a strand of hair away from his face.  hyunji indulges herself in moments like this,  where it feels  homely  and  sacred  despite the nature of her teasing.  the apartment is one of the very few places where she doesn’t feel disconnected and sought after.      “   do tell,  henry,  why does it bother you ?   we both know i’m no stranger to the cold.   “

wide  brown  eyes  stare  into  him,  followed  by  a  tilt  of  the  head.      she looks down on her skirt,  and then stares back at henry with a strawberry sweet smile.  a few steps are taken to where she’s close enough to look up at him and feel the warmth of his gaze upon her.
