she offers a gesture to the heavy-looking couple of books before her; one is closed, the other is splayed open with a few scarce diagrams of musculature amidst the wall of text. anya considered what the kid had told her, that she'd been reading about nearly-extinct animals and was surprised that extinction was no myth.

a mildly questionable upbringing might be assumed, if he'd been told such a lie, but anya wouldn't want to assume too much, given the general lack on knowledge it that kids have.

Young   𝐎𝐫𝐞𝐥   𝐏𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧   is   the   oldest   &&   only   biological   child   of   Mayor   Clay   Puppington   in   𝔐𝔬𝔯𝔞𝔩𝔱𝔬𝔫   .   A   town   of   close-minds   that   utilise   religion   as   a   tool   as   a   means   to   dictate   it's   way   of   life   .

While   discouraged   to   leave   the   town   ,   Orel   can   often   be   found   by   herself/himself   just   outside   of   town   for   reading   spot   in   the   shade   of   with   a   camera   taking   photographs   of   nature   for   photography   .   With   her   young   steed   ;   Mary   Mag   [   an   American   Paint   chestnut   &&   white   or   companion   Bartholomew   the   basenji   dog   ]   .

Orel   notably   walks   with   a   gait   due   an   incident   while   out   hunting   with   her   father   while   Clay   was   under   the   influence   of   alcohol   .   Leading   to   the   left   knee   being   permanently   shattered   .

Despite   everything   she   always   somehow   winds   up   in   trouble   ,   between   being   used   for   ransom   or   getting   lost   when   adventuring   too   far   ;   trouble   always   seems   to   find   her   .    Like   the 𝔇𝔢𝔳𝔦𝔩   himself   lapping   at   his   heels   .

The   library   has   become   a   regular   haunt   for   a   preteen   clad   in   blue   &&   white   stripes   ;   other   libraries   outside   of   Moralton   were   so   rich   in   information.   Back   home   the   library   is   a   restricted   area   where   eyes   as   keen   as   the   corvid   oversee   her   ministrations   .   Any   book   on   nature   was   embellished   in   'cleansing'   𝖋𝖑𝖆𝖒𝖊   .   If   only   to   blind   an   entire   town   of   people.

This   place   by   comparison   was   awakening,   her   mind   opened   to   new   possibilities   rather   than   closed   .

There's   plenty   of   space   to   sit   &&   read   here   &&   yet   he   sits   next   to   woman   ,   a   book   about   endangered   species   to   Orel's   left   &&   Bible   to   her   right   .
