So Walmart just fucked me over again by putting a $121 hold on a $26 purchase. I still haven't been refunded my food stamps, either, and it's been exactly two weeks now since my refund was issues. If anyone can knock down the $96 I owe PayPal or the now $170 overdraft in my bank account i would really appreciate it.

So it's been a while since I posted an update, but here goes!

Thanks to @greenskyoverme's overwhelming generosity, we have almost completely cleared out one of the storage units! We are going to finish up on the 4th, but we've been chipping away at it, working a bit every day since July 26th but we're still in a ton of pain and our apartment currently looks like it was hit by a hurricane. We've had to pay a small fortune for two separate U-Hauls, and since we're doing all the work ourselves we've had to extend our current rental multiple times at $30 a day, but we should finish on the 4th. We've taken a ton of stuff to Goodwill, and we currently have our car filled with donations for the homeless shelter we had stayed at, but it's nearing the end.

That being said, we paid most of our important bills, but I have been unable to afford one of our credit card bills and the internet bill (the credit card bill is due on the 5th and the internet bill is due on the 9th). We also desperately need the laundry supplies and, if someone can afford at least one, the over the bed shelving units from our Amazon wish list. We have a ton of stuff and need to find things to store it all in.

Any help at all is much appreciated, and thank you for all the reblogs on the other post!

shortest possible story is that he he got arrested and hospitalized after walking around outside at night, MAYBE having 'an episode', MAYBE he was drunk, maybe he was high, maybe he was just being loud, who knows. Dude was outside at night in boxers and cowboy boots and that's all he did to "invite" police interaction.

But cops claimed he assaulted them so he gets arrested. Then goes to the hospital. Then goes back into custody.

And then he's not heard of for a while, then days later says he's out and okay. But facing FELONY charges!

Help a Queer Farmer Stay Warm This Winter

Hello friends,

I'm a queer, regenerative farmer, running a diversified, collaborative farm. We've been in business for 25 years; I've been manager for 3. One year ago, my mother, who ran the greenhouse and plant side of things, passed away from complications with her Myasthenia Gravis. Since then, I've had to scale down, step back, and give myself and my father, who works alongside me, some time to grieve and reorient ourselves. I am transitioning the farm to one that works within the gift economy, sharing food, labor and building community.

All of this has taken time, and taken funds that we haven't had the capacity to replenish. And so now, after years of giving away food and creating a sanctuary here, we need your help.

This isn't a farm fundraiser - I just need some money to purchase heating oil, firewood and pay for the repairs to my furnaces. It's 5F as I type this, and we're running out of fuel. Our county has no more emergency heating funds left.

I know everyone says this, but every bit does help. All we need is a hand up, to help us hold on as we adjust to our new reality and new farm.
