(I think, not so sure, i'm putting the warning before i even start ramblin abt pokemon ;-;)

Evolutions are usually quite the thing on PMD, usually left for postgames duo to something affecting how pokemons can evolve, but what happens when there's nothing stopping it? What happens when a pokemon evolves naturally but... something seems to go off? Well... Welcome to my yapping session about worldbuilding in pmd

Evolution Happens when a Mon fullfils certain requirements to 'grow' and become stronguer, either by level, stone or friendship (in mainline pokemon games), in my setting of PMD, evolve can be affected by the following stuff:

→ Is the pokemon willingly to evolve?

→ is the Pokemon mature enough to confront the implicarions of growrh?

→ From what pair they came from?

If the Pokemon isn't willing to evolve, the change will be denied until they accept the change, but the interesting part comes in action when it's about if the mon feels ready to confront their own growth, as if they aren't ready, or not totally conciouss about it, the evolution would be considered premature, often leading to not the optimal or standart shape of a normal mon, let's take for example, is my OC Garnet, who evolved prematurely, without his helmet on, he has some physical traits of gardecoir but mainly of Gallade as he evolved via Dawn Stone, evolving early can cause uncertainy about their sense of self by mixed traits (if the line diverges into two options, or if keeps traits from pre-evolving), for example a Gloom who can evolve between Vineplume abd ballosom, if evolves early it may share the flower of the opposite path they decide to take. And what about eevee, who has 8 possible evolutions? Depends on genes

Other effects are the stonguer appearance of hidden genes between a mon who is a crossbreed, like (my other oc) Rocky, who in this case is a mix between Obstaggon and Lucario, some of his traits can be seen at first glamce by his waist and paws, he lacks of the spike on his chest and the ones on his paws are rounded, caused by early evolving, his aura detection is more sensible, so he lowers his own frequency to not go mad, but also inhibes him from feeling his surroundings and own feelings partially

But what about if a mon CAN confront their growth? Well, once a mon reaches enough grasp of how it will affect them, they can become the most finest version of themself, able to do wonderful things, an Example of this is Charlotte, when she decided it was time, she had gained knowdlege about how it would change her life prior going throught all the events

With difference from normally evolved mons, those who evolve early or crossbreeds (whose traits are visible) are usually looked down upon, considering them as inmature lesser and/or weak, they may be weaker than average, but they can compensate it by rigorous training, or not caring about the 4 move restriction (EHEM, ROCKY-)

In other and more simpler words, evolving under my setting is like a physical way of display from the mental maturity of mons :3

At some point i started to headcannon that mons on the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Universe had a sort of unspoken and accepted rule of only using a set of 4 moves at a time rather than having all use of their moves in case (by the limit of 4 moves on the games), to sort of.... keep the peace and not let chaos reign, favoring living on groups that helps each other than a battle where the stronger thribes, idk why i did thought of this, but it felt like it made more sense, like.... certain moves could be done without necesarily having it on their set (such as tail whip for pokemons with tail, vine whip for pokemons with vines or similar, or even Bite for almost any pokemon who has a mouth), or can practice as a hobby or the funsies (such as surf or dive), but limit their move pool to avoid destroying their surroundings [and also respect for their oponents, while in dungeons may be caused by the space-time distortions]... there would be strong combos of moves, specially if pokemons didn't restrain their use of moves (and more with linked moves between mons)... maybe there would be some few that would go "Restrictions? Pfft. Screw That!" And not limit their movepools and strike with all their might (maybe it would be frowned upon groups and targeted as threats and taught to others to not be like them) maybe they get chased down or forced to be alone, and those who decide to stay may hide the lack of restrain...

"After doing some research about these things called MTs (Yummy), we've discovered that these food that has an expiring date of Never, and that i've came to the conclusion that these are imbued with power moves when maked (At first i though these were made by dittos... since well, they clone a lot of stuff and maybe they did those things, but surprisingly no) ... this can at least disprove what that crazy Rotom who came from uhh... idk, but they say they came from time and space in a place that it was called Alola?? Yeah, there, who said that MTs where bunch of codes and kept yapping till i threw an oran berry at their face, when we cut the Mt in half it exploded into a Sludge bomb, for me it didn't maked any effect since my steel typing, as for Charlotte, she got knocked out, i promised her to take notes of the investigation if anything went wrong so... that's what i'm doing, it's late on the night and i should go already, she's getting attended by other members of the medical wing.. by morning should be at better condition"

In my setting, MTs work more like edible discs whose flavor depends on the type of the move and if the one who consumes the MT can learn it (on their movepool), For example [in Flavor Text] with Rocky (Who is a Lucario)

When it can be learn:

[Rocky used the MT of Water pulse, it tastes like fruit-flavored water, Rocky has Learned Water Pulse!!] (I've never played Scarlet & Violet, but in wikis it says that is posible someone confirm ;-;)

When it can't be learn

[Rocky has used the MT of Aqua Jet.... it tastes.... like plain water, Rocky can't learn the move]

When it can be learn BUT has been already taught

[Rocky has used the MT for Aura Sphere, it tastes like freshly-made food... but already knows the move, what a waste]

Pokemon has a lot of weird stuff...

How do TMs work in your setting, if any?

(Holdovers from the more advanced mainline games make for interesting tech disparities in PMD. Honestly, I don't even remember if they explain how they work in the mainline games - are the discs just an instructional video?? Whatever the case, how the heck would something like that work in PMD, where a huge chunk of the population would struggle to handle a VCR??)

Cleo → The Actual reason the group even formed on first place, she's a bit (too much in Purr's opinion) talkative, when the morale of the team is low, she always knows how to lift the mood (and ease the tension between mons)

Hermione (Sorry 4 the typo on the drawing ;-;) → Leader of the group, she'll gladly lend a hand (or psychic powers) in misions, she's trying her best to form bonds with others (and learn to get along with others and trying to suppress the intolerable noises)

Purr → a Silly fella, not really talkative and just an espurr... who likes rocks and seems to stare at the void

Who's the eldest and the youngest of Team Justice's members? What age do you think each of them to be? What age were they when they joined the guild?

Well, Team Justice's eldest member is Rocky, while the younguest is Garnet, In order (from older to younger) would be:

Rocky → 16 years old

Charlotte → 15.5 years old

Pastel → 15 years old

Garnet → 14 years old

About who joined the guild first, it would be Pastel when he was 7, Charlotte was next at 8, while Garnet and Rocky joined being the last ones to oficially join the guild (but the first members of the team), at 6 and 8 respectively

(Garnet joined weeks before his birthday)

Team Justice's (Ft. Honorary members) family trees)

A bit of trivia about them :3 :

- Charlotte's family is the most happy between all members (She keeps contact with all of her family)

- Garnet's family has gained fame for being a linage of constant shinies on the family (Garnet being one of the exceptions on his family)

- Pastel left his hometown in search of job, until he came across wigglytuff's guild, sometimes he sends letters and/or landscape portraits to his parents

- Rocky's situationship with his parents.... it's complicated to say the least, he isn't very open nor vocal about it (rumors are that he has a third parent?? Not even him knows)

[Honestly i really didn't want to draw the family trees of them as i'm gonna be busy doing something something of a drawing related to them + organize some of their lore and define some parts that are loose on their story, maybe in some future i'll remaster it, feel free to ask about them ^^!!]
