Came across this pro wresting story of Vicky Lyons vs Daffney via the Solomonster Sound Off podcast. Sad but truly inspirational. Shows a truly great side of pro wrestling and the people involved.

Virtua Fighter is your cover story but you have no game footage. What do you do? Why, make a fake render of Akira. That's what Game Players magazine did back in 1994.

Wait, what did Sega do to Michael??

I absolutely adore Scooby-Doo Mystery for the Genesis/Mega Drive. The SCUMM style point-and-click graphic adventure model works so well with the franchise. It's my favorite Scooby-Doo game, and a unique game for 16-bit consoles.

Scary ghost stories and tales of the glories-
Start Parasite Eve on Christmas Eve then finish on the holiday with Christmas Nights? A snowy, stylish RPG and my favorite sampler CD.

The V.R. View System-
I love how this game gives you the choice of using a bird's-eye viewpoint. It shows you a lot of the track, but it's so pulled back that it makes everything look slow. More modern racers need this angle.

Systems in the Sun

Two classic video game consoles lying out. Both share the same North American release date of September 9th, and this photo was taken in celebration of their anniversaries.

Everything you feared and more-
I once played Code Veronica with a friend that ran around shooting zombies and wasting bullets. There was one point in the first disc where I had to slash zombie legs with the combat knife, which worked better than expected.

Into the wilderness-
Where is the Wild Arms series today? A revival is in order. Rustic and fantastic at the same time.
