CHAPTER 2: Skyfall p2
The wind still howled from the previous day's omen, but a new terror descended upon the earth.
Akira was so surprised she didn't hear her mother shouting for her.
Her mother's facial expression was that of a terrified person:
- Sweat dripping down her neck like rain
- Heart beating louder and louder, visible through her trembling chest
She grasped Akira's arm, voice laced with panic:
"Akira, get inside... AKIRA!"
Akira looked at her mother in fear, her face petrified.
Her mother's urgency broke through her shock:
"Akira, I SAID GET INSIDE!"
Akira rushed towards the house, but a debris fragment from the meteor crushed beside their home.
The gushing air pressure threw Akira to the ground.
Ringing ears, dust coating her face, Akira struggled to comprehend the chaos
As she stumbled up, reality hit her like ice water:
People lay breathless, crushed, or mutilated around her neighborhood.
And then, a chilling realization...
She couldn't see her mother.
Akira stumbled, her legs like jelly, scanning the devastation for her mother's familiar face.
She screamed out in fear, her voice hoarse:
"MOOOMMM!"
The only responses were groans of the injured and crashing debris.
Then, she saw her mother – unconscious beneath the rubble of their crushed house.
Akira's heart skipped a beat as she rushed towards the wreckage, screaming:
"MOOOM!"
As she reached her mother's side, she saw her eyes flicker open – a weak smile spread across her face.
Relief washed over Akira as she exclaimed:
"Thank God you're alright!"
But her joy was short-lived...
As Akira drew closer, her mother's condition became horrifyingly clear:
Her lower half was crushed beneath the rubble, lifeless and cold.
Akira's eyes widened in denial as she stared at her mother's broken body.
Her voice cracked as she begged:
"Mom... what are you doing? Get up... come on, this isn't funny... GET UP!"
Tears streamed down Akira's face as she shook uncontrollably, her breath catching in shrieking gasps.
She collapsed beside her mother's lifeless body, overcome with grief.
Regret flooded her mind – memories of moments she should have cherished:
* Never hugging her mother tightly before school
* Not telling her often enough how much she loved her
* Taking their time together for granted
As Akira's sorrow peaked, something strange occurred:
* The symbol on her wrist began pulsing softly with blue light
* The scales tipped slowly towards the white flame, as if responding to her emotions
Suddenly, a voice pierced her anguish:
"Akira! What are you doing? Get up... we need to run!"
Akira looked up, hoping miraculously to see her mother standing there...
But instead, she saw Zoey, her friend from next door, with her frantic family behind her.
Zoey rushed towards Akira, grabbing her arms:
"Akira, come with us! We have to get out of here – the meteor fragments are still falling!"
Akira's eyes remained fixed on her mother's lifeless body, her mind numb with grief.
She shook her head slowly, voice barely audible:
"No... I'm not leaving her..."
Zoey's grip on Akira's arms tightened, urgent:
"Akira, please! We have to go NOW – your mom would want you safe!"
But Akira's resolve remained unbroken:
"No... Mom's here... I'm staying with Mom..."
Zoey exchanged desperate glances with her family – they knew time was running out.
With gentle but firm force, they lifted Akira off the ground, carrying her away from her mother's body.
Akira's legs kicked wildly as she screamed:
"LET ME GO! MOM! MOMMY! I'M NOT LEAVING WITHOUT YOU!"
Her fists pounded against Zoey's chest as tears blinded her vision.
The symbol on her wrist pulsed stronger, scales still tipped towards white flame – as if protesting her separation from her mother.
As they reached Zoey's family car, Akira caught one last glimpse of her mother's lifeless body beneath the rubble...
Her heart shattered into a million pieces.
Zoey's dad, Hank, drove their car off the devastated neighborhood streets,
heading towards the city center.
Debris still rained from the sky, people screaming and running wildly.
"Darling, are you okay?" Zoey's mom, Hannah, asked calmly amidst chaos.
Hank's eyes flicked towards the backseat, "And Zoey... Akira, are you both alright?"
Hank's voice trailed off as he exclaimed:
"What in the hell is going on?!"
Hannah cautioned, "Darling, watch the road!"
But Hank's attention was caught by a horrifying scene:
A small girl stood alone on the road, screaming for her mother –
whose bloody, lifeless body lay beside her.
People around them panicked and ran wildly.
Zoey screamed, "Dad, drive faster!"
Hank hit the gas pedal, and the car swerved around terrified pedestrians.
They narrowly avoided collisions, but then –
ran over a dead body.
The car spun out of control, crashing into debris.
Smoke billowed from the hood as Hank yelled:
"We have to get out – NOW!"
Zoey's parents dragged them out of the wreckage.
They joined the frantic crowd, running on foot through hellish streets.
Akira's eyes darted wildly, mind reeling from the chaos.
Everything blurred together – screams, debris, and terrified faces.
She stumbled forward, dragged by Zoey's parents through the wind-swept streets.
Suddenly, Akira's gaze locked onto a figure –
tall, imposing, and terrifying.
He stood motionless, wearing a black hoodie with long hair covering his face.
His eyes gleamed with an otherworldly intensity – black irises with tiny white spots at their centers.
A dark aura swirled around him like a living shadow.
He wore ripped black jeans and scuffed black boots, completing his ominous appearance.
In his hand, a massive sythe glowed with an eerie white aura, contrasting with its black blade.
Akira's symbol on her wrist began to throb painfully – the scales tipped towards the black flame.
Her mind screamed warning signals: THIS MAN IS DANGEROUS.
As she focused harder, Akira noticed a disturbing detail:
A black rose tattoo adorned the left side of his face, thorns twisting like living darkness.
He pulled out the sythe, holding it downwards with a relaxed grip.
Then, he adopted a dash-like running stance, feet shoulder-width apart.
His face tilted downwards, eyes closed – glowing liquid-like light seeped from beneath his eyelids.
A low, ominous growl escaped his lips as he exhaled slowly.
His eyes snapped open, gleaming with malevolence – a creepy smile spread across his face.
Akira froze in terror, paralyzed by fear –
her mind racing with thoughts of escape, but legs refusing to move.
His aura burst outward, and he launched himself forward with god-like speed.
Akira saw only a blur of motion – a streak of dark clothing and glowing sythe –
before he appeared right in front of her.
Her mind struggled to process his sudden proximity –
one moment he was distant, the next, his sythe hovered mere inches from her face.
The blade glinted with eerie white light, casting an ominous glow on Akira's terrified expression.
He assumed a powerful stance – "Mountain Strike" pose –
feet wide apart, sythe held high, ready to unleash devastating force.
Akira's symbol pulsed wildly on her wrist – scales fully tipped towards black flame –
as if sensing impending doom or dark connection to this attacker.
Her mind racing, Akira thought:
"This is it... Mom was taken, now I'll be next..."
Her eyes locked onto the sythe's glowing edge –
the last thing she'd see before eternal darkness.
Suddenly, her attacker's eyes gleamed with intense focus –
he began to slash downwards....

OUTCASTS ( fantasy, mystery, apocalypse)
Chapter 1: Skyfall
*The wind whispers through empty corridors, rustling leaves and carrying an eerie sigh.
It picks up strength, blowing stronger – a mournful howl that echoes off walls*
Suddenly, a figure appears in the sky –
Akira, her body silhouetted against the grey clouds, plummeting towards earth.
Her arms and legs splayed out, helpless to stop her descent.
And on her face... a soft, mysterious smile.
As she fell, time seemed to slow down -
memories of pain, tears, and forgotten dreams flashed by.
Akira's voice was barely audible,
but her words hung in the air:
"Finally... I've learned to fly...
And I'll be free from all emotions and pain."
As Akira was about to hit the ground she looked content and full of freedom then everything went black.
Akira opened her eyes to a realm of breathtaking beauty:
- Soft, white ground like freshly fallen snow
- A bright blue sky with seven glowing stones suspended like lanterns.
- A figure sat on a throne - Xenon, a god with skin like pure white light.
Around Xenon were seven stones heads emitting different kinds of light.
His calm, powerful voice welcomed her:
"Welcome, Akira... You're one the warriors I have chosen"
As Akira gazed at Xenon in wonder,
six shadowy figures emerged from the soft white ground behind her.
They rose like dark specters,
their presence a stark contrast to the realm's serene beauty.
Each figure was faceless -
no eyes gleamed, no mouths curved,
only an unsettling sense of awareness and shared purpose.
Akira felt their silent gaze upon her
like a gentle chill on a summer evening.
The figures arranged themselves around her
in a semi-circle of darkness,
as if waiting for Xenon to continue.
Xenon's voice filled the silence:
"These warriors of Mortality have also been chosen...
You seven have faced death's darkness
and been returned for a greater purpose."
Akira's curiosity was piqued -
who were these mysterious figures,
and what purpose had brought them all together?
Xenon's' glowing form leaned forward,
his voice echoing through the realm:
"I am the First and Last of my kind.
Creator of worlds, Bringer of life,
and Witness to eternity.
I have watched civilizations rise and fall,
seen stars born and die,
and witnessed the infinite dance of time.
Warriors of Mortality, your world is doomed to suffer
through 9 calamities - devastating events that will reshape your world.
"If you succeed in overcoming all 9 calamities, I will summon you once more...
To claim the ARK OF REBIRTH,
and then... my own mortality.
By ending my eternal life,
you will break the cycle of calamities
and save your world from destruction."
The realm fell silent,
as if the weight of Xenon's words crushed all sound
Xenon's final words still lingered in the air
when the realm began to distort and unravel.
The ground gave way beneath their feet,
and the warriors of Mortality plummeted into darkness.
Akira felt weightless, her stomach dropping
as the shadowy figures around her became silent, falling silhouettes.
The last thing she saw was Xenon's glowing form
shrinking into the distance, his voice whispering:
"The choice is yours..."
Akira woke up to a typical morning - soft sunlight peeking through curtains.
She stretched, yawned, and threw off her cozy blankets.
Still feeling a bit foggy from last night's weird dream about.
She shook her head, dismissing it as mere fantasy.
Akira got dressed in comfortable clothes and headed downstairs.
Akira walked into the warm kitchen, filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
Her mom, sipping coffee and reading news on her tablet, looked up and smiled:
"Morning, sweetie! Sleep well?"
Akira returned the smile, "Yeah, mom. Just a weird dream."
Her mom raised an eyebrow but didn't pry, "Cereal or pancakes?"
Akira opted for cereal and began pouring herself a bowl.
The TV in the living room, previously silent, suddenly blared to life
TV SCREEN FLASHES RED
BREAKING NEWS

Announcer's urgent voice filled the room:
"We interrupt your regular programming to bring you this devastating news:

Akira's eyes widened, her mind racing back to the strange dream...
Akira rushed outside into a sea of frantic people, all gazing upwards
in pure terror and disbelief.
The random guy's voice cut through the noise:
"Are those stars?! But it's daytime... I must be dreaming!"
Akira shouted back towards her house:
"MOM!"
Then her eyes followed the crowd's gaze upwards...
Her breath caught as flaming debris rained down from the sky
like a hellish meteor shower.
Suddenly, a searing pain shot through her wrist.
Akira looked down to see:
*A symbol etched into her skin, glowing with soft blue light*
**The Mark of a warrior**
* Two judgement scales balanced perfectly
* A heart symbol at the center, pulsing with life
* One scale held a flame of pure white light
* The other, a flame of dark, ominous shadow
