Completely lost my voice because of screaming at my friends when we were climbing yesterday. also from blasting Alex Warren's album on repeat and singing from the top of my lungs. good thing I don't need my voice to write 👍 *looks down to bandaged hand* ... aaaaaaaanyway

If there’s any advice I can give to a new writer or just one that is feeling down about their writing it’s this.

Go back and read your old work. Your oldest one.

In my memory I have this one work that I’m super proud of and cherish deeply, which I still do cause it was a big part of my life but it is a chapter in my life that I closed. Will I reopen it one day? Maybe, only time will tell.

Anyway when I go back and read it tho I just cringe so much cause it’s such as writing omg. But that’s the point. I’ve evolved as a writer and so have you!

Whenever you feel down or insecure about your writing just go back and let yourself be reminded of how much you improved and keep trying.
