Tyler - I know we're all very tempted to say EVERY WHITE MAN IN NIKE EVER BOOM but i fear that my son is a little classier than that. Don't get me wrong, he is a teen boy first and foremost, but Scarlett Jones is also his sister, and he has some self-respect. I think he would wear a lot of unbuttoned shirts over white singlets, caps, and good sneakers that he doesn't get dirty EVER. He would hate wearing cargo pants unfortunately, and despite all this semi-class, he's also a fanny pack defender til the day he dies. Lots of neutral, dull primary colours. He knows he's too pretty in the face, his clothes don't need to do a lot of work. Also probably a string bracelet guy. Couldn't explain this, but I just know he loves string bracelets, and Scarlett hates them.

Scarlett - Y2K WOMANNN!!! cheetah prints galore, low v necks with a pink bra poking out the top, chunky jewelry and those big, slightly pink sunglasses. She's just that girl and she knows it. Should be noted, I think Scarlett is much classier than a lot of y2k truthers, because I don't think she's going duck nails or having so many textures it hurts (no neon colours either, I think her hair is bright enough to do that work), but the styleee is there. I know that white, gold and pale blue are her colors because imagine that with the orange hair!! Her makeup is definitely very shimmery, and her lips are popping. im not jealous of her at all

Cat - she was our alternative queen and we know it. I also know that she definitely devoured graphic designs like it was her first meal of two weeks!! Graphic shirts, graphic eyeliner, the whole bunch. She's got the real brightly colored, ever so slightly punk vibes. If you want a comparison, think Billie Eilish if her tops were tight. Cat is definitely a small shirt little pants person and she rocks it!! Lots of bright blue, RED RED SO MUCH RED, orange and black. Where Scarlett is gold, Cat is silver. Probably has chains everywhere too. Also, super long, SUPER SHARP nails.

Finian - once again fighting the fashionable Finian allegations all by myself because this man is a LOSER!! He doesn't like attention!! But at the same time he is still a little special and therefore i think he probably wears mildly alt clothing. Flannel, probably, and while I want him to be as loser as possible with baggy everything, that's probably SO inconvenient for his exosuit. Therefore he probably wears shirts just slightly too small for him so they kinda cling to his skin, usually with weird little faded writing or brands on the front, and cargo pants i think Fin would LOVE cargo pants! (Also the bagginess is probably ok for his legs cause he doesn't need to reach down there often) I think that overtime he would become more confident and his clothes would become brighter, more interesting, with cooler designs, but he's not quite there yet :') lots of greys, neutrals and blacks.

Zila - my beautifully unexpected fashion icon. I think Zila's love for earrings is so cool, because they do NOT seem like something she would like (flashy, cute, Scarlett even says they're the kinda thing you wear for attention), but she loves them. Therefore I think her fashion is similar!! I think that Zila would be very preppy! Cute skirts, pastel colours, but still has that academia vibe that matches her personality. I think she would be a big fan of cardigans (she would be an Ariana grande sleeve victim but none of you want to talk about that) and chunky mary janes. She's just adorably put together and very pretty (#neverstoptalkingaboutzilabeingpretty2025) <3

Kal - Oh Kaliis what are we going to do with you. Now, the thing is, Kal is a beautiful, divine looking specimen. He doesn't need good clothing at all. Which is good, because I fear he would fall into chronic active wear syndrome </3 He's a man of function, not fashion. He needs to be ready to jump into action at any point, and this is simply the most convenient way. Now, I think after his character arc is done he would move into something more comfortable, like shirts and normal pants (he's also a robe guy btw) but active wear is ultimately what he's most used to i fear

Auri - THRIFT CLOTHINGGG!!!! i think auri buys ALL of her clothes thrift, (except shoes) and this means that her wardrobe has tons of second-hand whimsycore and those cute little cottage core shirts with buttons :) she would have bell-bottoms galore, trust and believe!! She would also have a very impressive collection of alt baggy brown jumpers with cool ink prints on them (not jealous at all 😒). Again, tons and tons of shoes, probably especially ones with huge platforms!! Now, does this aesthetic have name?? No idea!! But I think it just fits her so well :)

need to string together my thoughts more on this but reeeeeally interesting to see the influx of media - severance, the substance, mickey 17 - centered on the idea of a double/expendable iteration of yourself.

the dehumanization of workers by the way of non-livable wages, unsafe working conditions, and identity based discrimination (and the current removal of dei initiatives), all drive a wedge between our personhood and the value we are prescribed as a member of the workforce. something something the effects of ai and deepfakes already putting people in danger, the way we live and present our lives online vs in reality, there’s a lot to unpack here. but it’s fascinating to see this trope so widely translated as a storytelling vehicle for these ideas, and that this is the story that people are interested in telling.
