PROXY, ticci toby. (pt 3)
summary: tobys obsession with a girl becomes something different
cw: toby breakin into ur dorm room, reader is 19 & in college
word count: 3.1k
───────────────────────────────────────────
the last few months have been total shit. you've been stuck in a mental hospital for god knows how long.
being stuck in a place where you're deemed mentally ill is terrible, especially when you know the truth.
but thank god you were getting out today. you had to move into the school dorms, but it was better than being in the hospital.
as you stepped outside, you took a deep breath of the fresh air and felt relief wash over your body. you were finally out, and on top of that, slenderman's goons were gone now too. for now at least...you knew they'd be back soon enough. but for now, you wanted to just enjoy your freedom and the little bit of peace that came with it.
you finally reached the dorms after what felt like an eternity of walking, the cold air washing over you as you used your key to open the door.
the kitchen was comfortably modern and cozy, with wood cabinets and monochrome tiles along the walls. somehow, it managed to combine a professional look; chef-quality stainless steel appliances with an old wooden table. in the living room a plush sofa was nestled in front of floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the field across from where the dorms were held. seems decent enough, right? no. the bedroom was a mess. dirty clothes were strewn about, along with the occasional beer can or food wrapper. the bed was unmade and wrinkled sheets hung off of it in disarray. a desk leaned against one wall, its surface cluttered with papers and other random items that had been shoved there in haste instead of being put away properly. you sighed as you saw someone inside.
"hey, you're (y/n), right? im sabrina. sorry its a mess, i didn't expect you here this early.. let me help you get settled." she smiled, taking the bags. inspecting sabrina, she was a pretty redhead with her hair done up in a messy bun. her pale skin and face had been covered with dark makeup, her blood red lipstick slightly smeared off her lips. she was wearing a simple black tank and some grey sweats, the faint smell of a victorias secret perfume lingering on her body.
slightly taken aback by the stranger, you hesitantly accepted her offer and followed her further inside. she started picking up clothes off of the floor and making the bed across from hers while talking to herself about how it was good that someone had finally moved in since it had been empty for a while now. once she was done cleaning, sabrina stood back and smiled. "there you go." with a grateful smile, you thanked her for her help and she left the room to go about her own activities. as the door closed behind sabrina, you looked around your new living space with relief. everything seemed so much better now, at least for a while it would be.
weeks have passed, you and sabrina had become friends ever since you moved in. she went out to a party with some other people and you just finished studying. as you went to the kitchen, you heard a strange noise coming from the hallway and turned to see him standing in the doorway. he stood there like an ominous shadow, his face unreadable underneath that trademark hoodie and mask. his eyes seemed to burn with the need for something. you shivered at the sight of him, feeling a chill run through you like lightning in my veins as he stepped closer without saying anything. he moved slowly but steadily towards you until you were mere inches apart and you could feel his breath on your skin - cold and metallic against your flesh; it felt oddly calming yet terrifying all at once. your heart was pounding and your hands were shaking, you felt an unseen force pushing you against the wall. suddenly i heard a clink of metal, feeling a cold blade resting on your neck as he pressed in closer. with every passing second his knife edged nearer to puncturing through your fragile skin. in despair, you could only muster up one thought; what do i do now?
you looked up at him, your voice shaking. tears pricked the corners of your eyes as you begged for your life, pleading for him to spare you. your words tumbled out in a jumble – desperate pleas and half-sentences interrupted by sobs that shook through you like an earthquake, rattling every fiber of your being until all that was left was fear and desperation.
you finally thought you were freeβ€” safe from him. but here you are, toby's hatchet on the edge of your neck, threatening to draw blood.
pulling down his mask, he laughed maniacally. an awful sound that sent a chill through your body. his laughter was merciless and relentless, as if he were mocking you for your own suffering and weakness. you pleaded with him to stop, begging for mercy but seemingly unheard in the depths of his uncontrollable mirth. his face contorted in glee even as tears rolled down your cheeks; his joy only intensified the desperation and dread you felt at that moment so acutely it seemed like time had frozen around us both forever.
"i-ive been waiting so fucking l-long for this. for you.." toby's words were punctuated by each gasp of breath he took in between his laughter, and you shrank further back against the wall. your heart was pounding so hard i thought it would burst out of my throat, the terror within me obviously noticeable now. "tell me, why do you need anyone else w-when you have me?"
at this, i felt something inside me break. years of fear and trauma were now made manifest in the form of a broken sob that escaped my throat. i wanted to scream at him, to beg for mercy once more, but instead found myself silently shaking my head as tears streamed down my face. toby seemed taken aback by this display, his laughter slowly dying away. he rolled his eyes, "if you w-wont answer me, i'll make you."
toby quickly lifted up his hatchet, hitting you on the head with the back of it. your head was spinning, and then all went black. you felt a sudden shock in your skull that reverberated down through to the tips of your toes. you could no longer feel what was happening, consciousness slowly fading away like smoke in the wind.
he dragged her body through the woods, he was surprised she hadn't woken up by now from her head hitting the uneven ground. when he reached the mansion, it was empty and quiet. slender probably sent everyone on a mission. walking into his room, he threw her onto the bed. tying her hands and legs together in and leaving the room.
he had more important matters to attend to. he wanted her for so long, and finally got her where he wanted her.
toby went and got some rope from the basement, finding some old furniture he could use as a makeshift gag. going to the room, he tied her feet together, then tangled the ropes around her wrists, pulling them tightly behind her back. he stuffed a rag in her mouth and gagged it with tape before securing it in place.
toby hurried back to the basement, where bloody painter and ej had stored their strange experiments. he peered into the glass tanks filled with murky liquids as he hummed a tune. as toby continued to inspect the lab concoctions, something stirred in the back of his mind. (y/n) .. you were so.. perfect.. he thought. he picked up a syringe and a small vial full of clear liquid, ghb, and carefully stuck it into his pocket.
ghb was a popular drug. it was able to completely erase the persons memories once they took it or got it injected into their veins.
perfect..
he made way back to the bedroom, where he had left (y/n). his hands shook with anticipation as he walked closer and closer. he opened the door, to which he saw you still knocked out on the bed. his eyebrows furrowed into a frown, looking at your figure. you still had your pajamas on from the previous hours, your tank and plaid pants along with your dirty socks. he sighed, suddenly feeling a wave of guilt over him. maybe he should just kill you right then and there, just to get it over with. but he couldn't.
god, no. he loved you too much. even though you were just an average teenage girl, he was obsessed. too much to kill you.
just then, he watched as you woke up, your lashes fluttering at him. your eyes widened, seeing his unmasked face. you attempted to scream, until you realized your mouth was stuffed with a gag. "mmmf!" you said, confused. toby just chuckled,
he was about to respond but then suddenly remembered something more important- a plan he had been thinking of for a while. a way for you to forget everything. a way for him to make it seem like he was yours– or like you were his. a dumb, naive girl again. someone who would go under his every command. he pulled out the syringe from his pocket, nearing closer and closer to your neck. you tried pulling away, "stop s-struggling. you'll just make this harder." he said, his voice deep. the cold, pointy metal of the syringe poking at your neck. you felt him slowly stabbing your neck, the metal piercing through your fragile skin he stuck it in deeper, you felt yourself forming tears in the corners of your eyes. "don't cry. it'll be be-better this way." he said, caressing your soft skins, admiring.
you felt the liquid seep into your veins, going through your blood. soon enough, you fell back asleep.
hours have passed. you woke up, noticing you were laid in a bed, being covered by striped blankets. you looked around the room, only being lit by a small desk lamp . you turned your head to the wall and saw a bunch of pictures, seeing a girl in most of them. she looked unsuspected, seeing as she looked like she didn't even know she was being photographed. one was her in a park just reading a book, another while another was while she was sleeping. feeling creeped out, you backed away. you stepped down from the bed, your now bare feet hitting the cold hardwood floor. the wood creaked under you as you stepped, walking to the door. you opened the door, slightly peeking your head out and hearing small chatter. "what? what do you mean you just brought her in? do you know how much trouble we'll be in?!" a man yelled. "i already told him. i h-had this plan for months. and now i can finally go through with it." another spoke.
you backed away into the room, closing the door. you were confused. you felt like you didn't belong, like this wasn't your home. what plan was he talking about? did it include you?
toby and masky were in the kitchen. masky was yelling at toby for bringing someone in, a human girl to be exact. "why the hell is there a girl in your bedroom?" masky asked. "i brought her in. her name isβ€”" "what? what do you mean you just brought her in? do you know how much trouble we'll be in?!" masky yelled. toby sighed, "i already told him. i h-had this plan for months. and now i can finally go through with it."
masky sighed, "you better hope this stupid ass plan works. if it doesn't, boss will kill you and her." he said, looking at him with contempt, then shaking his head and walked away, leaving toby alone.
toby sighed and headed back to the room. opening the door, he saw you cowering in the corner of the bedroom. he sighed. "you're awake." he ran his hand through his hair and sat at the foot of the bed "you don't need t-to be scared anymore. i-i'm safe." he lied. he was a danger to society and he knew it, but he didn't want you attacking and possibly running off. besides, how would you react if he told you he's a wanted serial killer?
you stayed in the corner, trying to decide whether or not you should trust him. you stayed silent for a while, desperately trying to remember him, hell if you even knew him. he could possibly be someone you don't even know. he sighed, turning his head and rolling his eyes. he figured that dealing with someone who lost their memories would be hard.
he started to think of a story, one that would be somewhat believable. "i'm your friend. you remember me, right? my name is t-toby." he said, to which you shook your head. "well, either way, we.. you, um, got into an accident. s-so i took you in!" he lied. you seemed to believe it. "b-but, how..?" you said, your puppy eyes looking at him. "it's a story for another day, are you hungry?" he asked, to which you nodded. you felt drained, mentally and physically.
he walked out the room, to which he was met face to face with hoodie. "tim told me about your little plan. is it going well? is she okay?" he asked. "s-she's none of your concern." he said, walking to the kitchen. "hm." hoodie hummed.
toby prepared a simple meal, and when it was done, he served you. you ate hungrily, finishing the meal in under a minute . "thank you .. " you said, voice calm but soft and quiet. he nodded, taking the plate and going to the kitchen to put it into the sink. he leaned against the marbled counter, wondering how he would deal with you. should he teach you how to be a killer like him, or keep your innocence ?
he decided on the first option. he would rather you to be like him instead of trying to hide you from everything. but, first he would have to make you get comfortable with him first. he sighed, he walked down the hall to clockwork's room, since she was the only one he really spoke to and wouldnt be weirded out from his question.
knocking on the door, he waited a few seconds before she opened the door, her green and clocked eye looking at him. "what?" she spat out, "calm down. i'm just asking for a favour." he asked, "do you have any extra clothes?" he sighed. "uh, yeah. for what?" she asked, walking to her closet and pulling out some shirts and pants from her drawer, "it's for uh.. a girl. dont worry about it." he said, walking inside but looking down at the floor.
clockwork dumped the clothes into his arms, "thanks c." toby said, walking to his room, carefully opening the door so he doesn't drop anything. he walked into you laying on the bed, bored out of your mind. "i'm surprised you didn't leave." he said, dropping the clothes on the bed. "i got you clothes so you can change." you sat up, going through the clothes. you decided on a pair of ripped jeans, a simple burgundy tee shirt and a black zip up jacket. he left the room so you could get changed.
when he left, you swiftly changed into the new clothes, and looked at yourself in a mirror he had nearby. looking at your features, you look exactly like the girl in those pictures. you got chills, but honestly thought nothing of it. he was your friend, right? maybe those pictures were consensual, although you had 0 memory of it. but then again, you had no memories.. you couldn't remember anything.
what a shame.
you shook off the thought and exited his room. were those pictures really you? you thought, walking down the empty halls into a living room, to which you met 2 new people, talking to toby in the dining room.
the first person you noticed was a tall, pale guy, with a slitten smiling face and jet black hair. although the scars were scabbed and seemed to be healing, it was like he was continuing to cut them fresh to keep the smile from healing fully. he was wearing a bloody white hoodie with black jeans and black vans. the other was a short, blonde, elf kid who was bleeding from his dark eye sockets . your head fuzzed, you felt like you could remember him, but you can't place your finger on where.
the pale guy suddenly spoke to toby, looking your figure up and down. "your little girlfriends here." he teased, chucking darkly. you tilted your head, confused. toby walked up to you, "we need to go, i have to train you." "for what?" you asked. "er, for.. fighting. yeah, fighting." he completely lied. you shrugged your shoulders and followed him outside and into an open field behind the house. "here." he gave you a fake knife, since he didn't want to hurt you since you're still a beginner. "i thought you meant fist fighting." you said, looking at the dull blade the knife had. "nope." he said. "try to dodge me." he said, lunging at you quickly, to which you dodged from reflexes and made him miss. "good job, but this is just a start." he smirked under his mask.
oh boy..
eventually, weeks turned into months and you got more comfortable with everyone in the mansion. sure, you made your frenemies, like jeff, or your best friends, like toby, jane and clockwork. you even got little sisters you never had, like sally and lazari.
but, that also means you had to change yourself to fit in with the others. your original (h/c) hair has now been dyed to a (d/h/c). you changed the way you did your makeup, your fashion, you got tattoos from a nearby tattoo shop and scars on your body from previous training with toby or clockwork, and overall changed your personality. you went from a naive girl to an independent woman, you didn't need a man.
although you had that mindset, you and toby started dating a while after you joined him in the mansion.
you were happy with him, and he was happy with you. now he doesn't have to sneak and take pictures of you, he can finally get them consensually whenever he wanted, and he didn't have to hide himself from you. you two went on missions together all the time, killing anyone you saw, and everyone who judged your relationship with him.
the end.Β β™‘

summary: tobys obsession with a girl becomes something different

───────────────────────────────────────────
over the next few months, your sights have been weirder and weirder.
you were out gardening with your mother, tending to the dead roses in her yard. you put on your gloves, digging out the dead flowers and tossing them to the side, making room for the new beautiful ones. "i'm gonna go make some tea love." you heard your mother say, as she got up and went inside the house. "alright, i'm gonna stay out here for a bit." you said, continuing your little hobby. that was, until you felt .. tired. you felt like your body was suddenly weak. you looked around, confused as to what made you feel that way.
then you saw it.
the 10 foot tall, blank faced man with his yellow jacket companions next to him. you had thought that it was just a rumour, an urban legend if you will. the proxies, slenderman, you had no idea they were real.
backing away from the garden, you felt static buzzing in your ears and brain. you walked up the stairs weakly, slamming the door behind you. "you better not break my damn door-" you heard your mother speak, then paused once she saw your weak state. "what happened? i'm gone for 5 minutes and you get sick somehow? i can't ever leave you alone." she said, pulling you to the couch, setting a glass of tea on the coffee table. you tried telling her what happened, "mom. i'm not crazy. i'm not fucking crazy!" you yelled out, tears spilling down your cheeks. you looked up at her, her face looking concerned. "mom! stop looking at me like that!" you screamed, running up into your room. you were confused, scared, worried. what was happening to you?
after that incident, you just keep seeing him. well, them. it seemed like no matter where you went, you couldn't hide from them. they were watching you like a predator waiting to pounce on its prey.
you were afraid to tell anyone about them..
it was terrifying.
you were on your way to a cafe, laptop in hand along with your crossbody bag. silently hoping the laptop situation wouldn't be like the last time. you walked inside the building, being greeted by the smell of coffee and muffins. you walked up to the register, placing your order then paying. you sat down, taking off your bag and waited a while, until you heard your name being called. you walked up and grabbed the cup and sat back down, opening your laptop and typing in your password.
suddenly, you felt a chill go down your spine and looked up, seeing a man walk inside. you stared, realizing how familiar he looked. he had light beard stubble, slightly curly brown hair and pale skin. his eyes were dark with eye bags, seeming like he didn't sleep for days. he had a large, thick padded bandage on his face. now for his outfit? he was just wearing a black hoodie, jeans and some converse. just a basic guy, but why did he seem so familiar?
the environment made you uncomfortable. you tried ignoring it by just focusing on your work, but every time you looked up you saw him staring at you from another table. you quickly got up, your laptop in your arms and walked out the building. unbeknownst to you, you forgot your bag.
the man noticed you were gone, but realized your bag was still there. he looked around, seeing as everyone else was focused on other things, he went and grabbed the bag. he went after you, looking for you in the streets. that was, until he saw you turn the corner.
he couldn't understand how you could just forget a bag like this, with your school items, and personal belongings in it.
wait.
your personal belongings..
this was his chance.
he took your phone, your id, and a chapstick you had completely forgotten was even in there.
he shoved the items into his pocket, and went after you. "ma'am!" he yelled from the corner. you saw him, "why're you following me?!" you yelled out, until you realized he had your bag. you finally remembered you forgot it, and facepalmed yourself. "shit, i forgot. thank you." you said, walking towards him and taking the bag. "no worries" he aid quietly, his eyes seeming to be burning into yours. "sorry, i..i need to be leaving now." he said, quickly walking off. you were a little confused, looking into the bag. realizing he took some of your things, your instincts told you go to after him. but after he turned the corner, he was gone.
nonetheless, you were unable to get your stuff back.
───────────────────────────────────────────
toby got to the mansion, ignoring peoples greetings and immediately ran to his room, slamming the door. he went to his desk, dropping the contents from his pocket. your id, your phone and the chapstick. he was sure you'd start trying to search for it, or maybe just get a new one. it didn't matter to him. "ben!" he called out, to which ben came in from the tv. "what? i'm busy trying to annoy jeff." ben said, his voice glitchy and somewhat robotic. "c..can you get into her p..phone for me?" toby said, "oh, uh, sure."
after ben got into your phone and unlocked it for him, even changing the password to something simple so toby would be able to get in whenever he liked. toby started going through everything.Β
oh, i mean everything.
your photos, your texts, your social media, every single thing. he didn't leave anything behind.
he basically had a shrine for you, he was so obsessed with you it was truly sickening. he'd adorned his bedroom walls with photographs of herβ€” all framed in gold. some were where he was tucked behind a tree, while she ate on the park bench; one was taken while she was sleeping soundly; while others might have been random moments immortalized and brought back to life on his wall.
he printed your photos, hanging them with pride in front of his bed. toby had a strange obsession with you, something that seemed to grow more and more each day; an infatuation that began to be cause for concern. he was constantly thinking about you and picturing you in his mind. his room was becoming a shrine of sorts, with pictures of you everywhere he looked. he was losing sight of the fact that this wasn't normal behavior.
he smiled, and quickly left at the same pace he entered, leaving for the forest, then soon, your home.
────────────────────────────────────────────
you were in the car, driving home. you were stressed out from losing a bunch of things. your phone, your id, even your friends. you knew your phone and id was taken from that guy at the cafe, but you didn't understand why he took it.
you parked and locked your car once you got out. you used your key, walking inside to a cold house. "ma?" you called out. you assumed she was taking a nap, since she would usually do that before she left for work on the night shift. you dropped your bag off by the table, like you usually do. you started walking upstairs, the floor boards creaking.
the closer and closer you got, the worse a smell barricaded your nose. it smelled terrible
you started getting nervous, seeing flies fly around in the hallway, swarming the room your mother resides in.
you carefully opened the door, feeling yourself fall to your knees as you saw her.
opening the door to my mother's bedroom. it was dark, and at first all i saw was a shadowy figure lying still on the bed. as my eyes adjusted to the dim light, however, i could make out more details – her pale face and lifeless body beneath an old quilt she had always loved so much. fear crept through me as i realized what had happened – that in this room of comfort and safety there lay only deathly silence...
looking up, i saw the window broken with glass all over the floor as i collapsed onto the floor, grief overwhelming me.
you had no idea who could have done this to her, or why they would do such a thing.
"mama, no.." you covered your mouth and nose, hating the smell of death in it. you ran out and closed the door, sobbing after seeing the scene in front of you. you didn't understand why all these things were happening to you. was this some kind of karma? was someone out for you? you were extremely confused. you ran downstairs, getting the house phone and calling the police.
you were getting interrogated by a female police officer outside the house. "do you have any idea who could have done this?" she asked. "no," was all you could say.
"when did you find her body?" she asked. "like 30 minutes ago. i just got home a-and i saw her there.." you said, tears continuing to spill from your eyes. you turned your head to the dark forest, seeing the guy from the cafe again.
this time, with a bloody hatchet and that same hoodie. you could very clearly recognize him though. your eyes widened as you finally realized what was happening, why everyone you loved was dying.
he was stalking you..
it was his fault.
you stood up, the officer getting alarmed. "ma'am?" she asked, "it's his fault!" you said, pointing to the man who had disappeared in a second. "ma'am. are you okay? i understand this situation maybe be traumatic but-" "no, i know what i saw! i'm not fucking crazy! it's because of that fucking slenderman and- and his stupid minions! they're killing everyone i love.." you said, sitting back down on the patio chair. the woman sighed, "ma'am, do you have any kinds of mental illness?" the police asked. you looked up, "no, no.. at least not any i know of.. no! i don't." you muttered out. she raised an eyebrow and wrote something on the notepad
"alright, we'll im going to have to set you into a mental hospital because of your current actions. it'll only be for about a month or 2, or until the doctors think you are better." and with that, you were escorted to the police car.

stories including trigger warnings will be labeled with ⚠️
anyways, most things i write about contain:
murder, elements of gore, SA (not too often) and.. a bit more i cant exactly think of atm.
i will NOT write:
pregnancy, marriage, holiday stuff (unless its halloween), extreme nsfw (i will do slight nsfw, but again not a lot cause thats weird.)
i think thats it..

HIS PIERCING, HAZEL EYES WATCHED YOU FROM AFAR, he watched as you tossed and turned within your cold sheets.Β  he knew your every move. to when you would occasionally get up in the night for water, even to the exact times you would take a shower after classes.
Β he was truly fascinated by you, the way your (h/c) hair seemed to glimmer in the sunlight and how your plush lips curved slightly when you smiled. but he felt like he could never approach you, for fear of being rejected or worse, forgotten about.
one day as he watched you from across the street, something tugged at his heart that said to him,
"GET HER."
──────────────────────────────────────────
he didn't know what exactly drew him so close to you; he just knew he wanted you.
he needed you.
he wanted to see you squirming under his arms, his hatchet on your neck, threatening to draw blood. that's all he wanted. at least, that's what he thought.
no, he wanted more.
he wanted you. he wanted your body, your soul, your blood on his hands...
it got to a point he even started killing off people in your school he knew you spoke to, or at least had some kind of relationship with. he wanted you for himself, no one else.
he remembers like it was yesterday.
he killed your best friend, then waited in a tree until you got home and watched you cry on your bed. your parents seemed to not hear either, since you were crying nonstop for hours. he watched your tears stream down your beautiful plump face, your snotty nose and eyes becoming pink and puffy, like a little puppy. you looked up, eyes gleaming like stars in the midnight sky, not even looking towards the window to see the goggle wearing man pleasuring himself to your cries. he watched as you went into the bathroom to get washed up, praying that day wasn't real.
but babe, it was so real.
soon after, he killed your boyfriend. he loved watching you cry because of his actions.
your boyfriend was a dick, anyway.
he knew he was cheating on you, and that had made a promise to you, his lovely girlfriend, he swore on every saint and star, that he'd forever be loyal. but when temptation appeared in the form of your best friend-- fair-haired and lithe-- with eyes like dark pools daring him to take a dip... it was all too much for him. to swim in those depths would mean violating his oaths, but such pleasure seemed worth any price.
but your boyfriend didn't know what was coming, nor did your 'best friend'.
he approached the house cautiously, his heart pounding as he put one foot in front of the other. he carefully picked each step, avoiding any sound that could alert her to his presence. reaching a side window, he pushed it open with ease and climbed through into the empty room beyond. the darkness enveloped him like a cloak and soon enough he had reached her bedroom door where she slept unaware of what was coming for her. taking silent steps across the carpeted flooring, he slowly raised his arm high above his head before bringing it down onto her unsuspecting neck with all brute force behind it- striking again and again until there was no breath left in her body.
after he killed the girl, he waited for a day the guy was finally alone, finally catching when his parents left for work. slipping through the window, he fell onto the floor, a thud making a noise, but thankfully it was quiet enough to not be heard from afar. his converse still bloody from the previous house, he made tracks on the floor. he was quiet, sly like a fox. he quietly went down the stairs, to which he heard the tv running. he poked his head, seeing the male on the couch, back facing him. "perfect" he thought to himself. quietly walking forward, raising his axe up, and swinging down on his head. he felt great. the price of loyalty and betrayal is justice, and he had just given it.
finally getting rid of the 2nd person who's been backstabbing you for so long, he just kept swinging and swinging, his blood splashing all over the carpet and on his clothing, along with his cracked skull spilling out brains all on the couch, the scene being so brutal, it almost made him want to stop.
but he didnt.
he backed away slowly as the blood pooled around his victim's body. he fled back out of the window, not looking back until he reached a safe distance away from that house. he smiled, the gash on his face
besides, his parents wouldn't be home for another few hours. he had time.
you only found out he died because of the news at school. one of your friends had to break it to you.
oh, what an unfortunate soul. he didn't even have time to say goodbye.

you walked into your house, "ma, im home." you yelled out, dropping your crossbody bag onto the floor by the door. you walked to the kitchen island, seeing a piece of paper. "got called into work. food is in the oven, love you. - mommy"
she recognized her mothers handwriting, dropping the note into the trash. opening the oven door, you saw a bowl of pasta, perfect for one person. "yummy." you said, grabbing the mittens and pulling out the bowl, as it was still slightly hot.
sitting down at the table, you had a fork and were eating while on your phone. getting a message from your friend, "hey! wanna come over tonight?" you read. sighing, you texted her back. "sorry, can't. got a bunch of homework." in reality, you just wanted to be left alone. you didn't get much alone time, since your parents would be home and annoy you. i mean, you did have homework, but not enough to make you spend all night doing it. "ahh, that's fine. maybe next week?" she sent. "yeah, i may have time next week." you replied, chuckling to yourself.
finishing up, you dropped the dish into the sink, and walked up the creaky stairs to your bedroom. walking inside, you were hit with a cold breeze. your window was open, "i don't remember opening my window?" you said, walking to it and closing it. you walked to your desk, opening your laptop. it glitched a bit, going slow. "i need a new computer." you said, typing away at the keyboard.
that was, until it froze. "dude, seriously? i just had to turn in my assignment and now it decides it wants to be a little dick and freeze on me?!" you raged, stuffing your face into your hands. you sighed, calming yourself down. you looked at the screen. what you saw, was not normal.
"boo." a little blonde, eye bleeding elf boy said, before quickly disappearing. you fell off your chair in fear. "what in the fuck?.." you mumbled. "wha..what was that?" you got up, calling your friend. "i think i'll come over tonight, is that okay ?" you asked, "i thought you had homework?" she asked. "i'll finish them tomorrow." you quickly said, "oh. okay, well sure. i'll text you my address." you prayed to the gods for her. you texted your mom, telling her you wouldn't be at home and you were staying with a friend for the night.
once you finished getting your clothes and necessities into a bag, you got into your car and drove down. your friend lived a little far, so it was a dark drive. you drove and drove, until you reached something in the distance. you stopped, seeing a deer standing in the road. it looked paralyzed, hypnotised maybe. you looked to where the deer was looking, seeing nothing. you just went around it, continuing your drive.
you got out of the car with your bag, locking the doors behind you. walking up the stairs to the apartment building, you glanced at the numbers.
662, 663, 664, 665..
then finally, you reached it.
room 666.
getting chills from looking at the numbers, you knocked on the door.
waiting..
waiting felt like an eternity.
finally the door opened. "hey!" your friend said, opening the door so you can walk inside. "hey, dude i can't stay at home any longer!" you said, hugging her and walking inside. "haven't been to your house in forever." you dropped off your bag by her couch, kicking off your shoes. "yeah, i've decorated this shithole a bit."
you two watched movies for the time being and went to sleep.
well, she went to sleep. you were still wide awake, thinking about the moments earlier.
what was that little blonde boy?
well, i guess you should be asking who it was?
you got up, your feet touching the cold hardwood floor. you shivered, quickly slipping on your black slippers and heading to the kitchen. you got a bottle of water, and was beginning to go back to the room until you heard the tv running.
you poked your head, seeing the tv on. it was buzzing with static, and god it hurt your ears. you tried turning it off. yet, it wasn't responding. you sighed, " i guess i can just unplug it."
and you did.
but then, as you walked away, you heard the same robotic voice from just a few hours ago.
"you shouldn't have done that!"
the blonde boy was back, this time he was after you. his fingers seemed as sharp as claws, scratching away at your fragile skin, his eyes bleeding ink onto your face and into the white rug under you
you kicked him off, running into your friends room, desperately trying to wake her up. "dude, wake up." you said on the verge of tears. she woke up, "what?" she said, voice groggy and tired. "something's wrong with your tv." you stated, walking her into the living room.
nothing.
it was like nothing happened. the tv was completely off, the rug was completely white, like snow. "you were saying?" her friend said. you were so confused, this wasn't your imagination, right? it couldn't have. it was so real.
"dude, i'm not fucking crazy. i-it was right there, it scratched me!" you said, holding out your forearms, to which nothing was there. "you're crazy. just go to bed, maybe you're still tired." her friend said, walking back into the room and falling into the bed.
you know what you saw, and you weren't crazy.
oh, would that just be the start of your weird sights.
weird..
yeah. that was the right word for it.
but you couldn't tell anyone. who would believe you? especially in a small town like this, where everybody knew everybody... you tried to forget it and just went back to bed, but the shadows seemed darker than usual and even somewhat menacing. you were sure they were watching you as soon as your eyes closed...
