Yes good, play your cards right and you might just be able to not look like an idiot, especially in front of someone this much younger than you. Plus, the thought of dumpster diving for more food and ship parts is embarrassing in itself.

Now, that was quite the uncomfortable question. Milo shuffled, and nervously tugged down on the bottom of his sweater vest-- trying to keep his gem hidden from the other.

Technically, the answer was yes. He’d seen how Homeworld technology often utilized Gems as power sources-- Lapis and the mirror immediately came to mind, but there was also that pyramid temple. However, Milo was absolutely certain that his gemstone wanted to stay attached to his person.

The logistics of having it removed, frankly, terrified him.

“Errrr.... No. No, it’s... kind of a vital organ, you see. I’m pretty sure I’ll die if it’s removed.”

At first, Milo isn't sure what she’d even said. She’d spoken so fast, and he hadn’t even noticed her until she’d walked right up to him. But one he’s processed her rapidfire words, the confusion melts away and his expression softens.

She still doesn’t like him... but it’s an improvement, at least.

“Thanks, Wyzee... I mean that. I still am really sorry about the trial, by the way.”

I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought up Momswap AUs for Milo’s Universe… and in each one, the Diamond in question has a different kid.

White Diamond has Savannah, her “moms” in this AU… tbh she likely only has White/Pink Pearl.

Yellow Diamond has Vinnie, and his “moms” follow the traditional momswap formula: Jasper, Peridot and Lapis.

Blue Diamond has Cavendish, and his “moms” are Topaz (both of them, fused), Blue Zircon, and Carnelian.

And then, of course, we already know the “canon” of Milo’s Universe. Pink has Milo, and he’s got Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.
