Frisk laid down on their bed. It almost felt like they were bunk bed buddies, even if Chara wasn't on anything. The weight of what they were discussing came down. At least they were together. Frisk would have struggled a lot more if Chara hadn't been there helping through the Underground.
"No. I like how it is now. Mom's good to me." They weren't alone. Frisk picked at their shirt again thinking it over. "It feels weird to think it's over." Being Underground had lasted forever. Frisk didn't know how many times they'd died or gone back to try and do something better.
@blacksheep28
Life with monsters was strange. Frisk hadn't had any idea of what would happen when they first fell down that hole into the Underground. It had been strange, and terrifying, and more wonderous than they could describe. And they had a new family now! There were still questions of course. Frisk sat silently in their bedroom watching Chara. Despite how close they felt to the other, they didn't really know them at all, did they?
Indeed, the whole ordeal was as strange to Chara as it was to their partner. They last thing they remember was fighting over the body they and Asriel shared, and then...nothing. They died, and the next thing they knew they were awoken from death. Not as a living being but as a ghost, bound to some determined kid's soul. And after their journey- their crazy, strange, and at times magical journey through the underground together- somehow Chara's wish- for monsters to be free- ended up becoming true after all.
Now here they were, months later. Monsters are free and are slowly integrating into human society. Chara half-expected themself to fade once the barrier broke- to disappear and go back to being dead- but despite everything, they were still here.
It was weird, and a little upsetting to them. They should be happy. In reality, it feels nothing short of bittersweet. It leaves a sour taste in their mouth to see the world go on without them. To see their adoptive parents, who are now so different than what they remember- move on without them or Asriel. To see Frisk be Toriel's new child. To never grow up. They knew such feelings were stupid, but they simply could not help it. To be fair, they never expected to come back as a ghost. They weren't prepared for the emotions this would bring. Not that they'd tell Frisk any of this, of course... They'd rather die again than admit that.
Oh. Wait. Chara realizes Frisk is staring at them. Had they gotten so lost in their thoughts again they didn't notice? How long were they doing that for?
The child floats over to Frisk so they are at their eye level, and they playfully flick their forehead. Naturally, their finger goes right through them, but they still smirk.
"What's with the face? We having a staring contest and you just didn't tell me?"

Frisk shrugged. "We could if you want to." That wasn't really what was being asked, and Frisk knew it. Actually addressing everything that had happened seemed a lot harder than they'd thought though. It should just spill out. It couldn't be any harder than setting Alphys and Undyne up. And Alphys had melted monsters! If Alphys could face that, Frisk should be able to talk to their partner.
"Why are you still here?" Frisk picked at their shirt. "Does that mean we're gonna end up resetting?" It was a bit of an odd thought. Frisk had always had full control over going back to their save points. Chara doing something to affect that seemed as likely as it just happening at random. But Chara had been part of their strange adventure down there, and Frisk felt it hadn't really ended as long as Chara kept being there, giving advice.

Sans slowly walked the patrol path. He hoped there would be something in the traps today. They were fine for now, but people were hungry again. Perhaps they could eek out another month before they would start dying. Sans frowned. He should be back at home, working on trying to filter out the toxin from the Core. It was harder now though. Such a thing had always been a challenge, but now when his thoughts moved so sluggishly, sitting down to work through the science could be genuinely painful.
He tugged at his eye socket. The pull on the aching bone helped him focus. It wasn't good, he knew that. He was probably making it worse. But he'd never really cared about that. If it helped him do what he needed for his brother, that was what mattered. He perked up as he approached the next trap. Something had been disturbed up ahead. Hopefully it was something to eat in his trap.

Papyrus had been in the midst of a patrol around Snowdin when he heard the lonely call. That was unusual. Such an open call advertised vulnerability, and would easily bring in monsters eager for some easy EXP.
Papyrus was an exception. He had made himself an exception through his training and pushing himself. He could afford to only kill those who broke his rules in Snowdin. With that in mind, he decided he would take the chance and seek out who was calling for others out in the snow. "HELLO!"
Is anyone left?
Hello?

LV will add 2 ATK per LV (violence) increased, 4 HP per LV, and .25 DEF per LV. BEFORE the Level (training) calculation is done.
Alright :)

But you said fell frisk when checked has 0 ATK and 0 DEF?
Fell Frisk is, sadly, a pacifist. They do not attack. They do not defend. They die repeatedly and would willingly sacrifice themselves, even if not necessary.
Perhaps it is what the monsters in Underfell needed, someone who was so utterly unwilling to do harm, but it does leave Frisk incredibly vulnerable to harm

Hey I was doing some thinking and I realized what if the LV actually IS || ATK: base - ((LV-1)•2) DEF: base + ((LV-1)/4) HP: Base + (4•LV) || but it’s the LEVEL that is calculated differently?
Which is Level and which is LV?

Question and I’m honestly asking here- simply do not respond if no BUT do you want my discord? If not I completely understand it’s just that I thought it would be more direct then this

What do you think of Underswap? And do you do that kinda thing
I made a mistake when I first heard of Underswap, thinking it was Chara/Asriel who swapped places. I refuse to go back on my stance on how to do Underswap, so I am very much out of beat with normal takes on it

Also I just wanted to say that I disagree with frisk having {ATK 0 DEF 0} because in undertale in the pacifist route you can use memory-head to quite literally “check” yourself. And no matter what it was + 10 what you see when you check yourself (in the menu) so this brings up the theory that what if a monster were to check their stats they would only see the “data” stats while if someone else checks them they would see the real stats, “why?” Because you are checking your soul not the body(menu)
Having a 0 would also mean dealing no damage when striking, which is obviously not true

Note
Yes, the physical ATK will depict the power a monster can punch, kick, etc and the “data” ATK is the power behind the magical attacks. And if someone argues “what about sans his ATK is so low yet it’s depicted as high” that’s because his KR for his magic ranges, such as his blasters being 10 just like asgore’s.
Interesting! I tend to have Sans Marked by Magic itself for the Judge role, giving him that karmatic ability

Note
Because in my opinion and therefore my universes- a monster can train physically all they want however that will not improve their magical abilities- this is the same for defense
So you're talking physical contact versus bullets?

Note
Remember in my universes the “data” stats is the strength of the soul and the strength of the magic but the “check” is the physical statistics
So in this case the soul registers as weaker than the physical stats?
How do your monsters have physical stats considering how canonically the reason why monsters turn to dust is because they are made up entirely of soul given form by magic?

Note
Froggit: ATK: 180 (25) DEF: 120 (5) HP: 384 EXP: 8,000,000 LV: 20 (Note these might change as I come up with calculations I believe to be more “cannonical” which I got for most of the time)
So what do you use the bracket numbers for?
