I don't do much except listen to musicals and ship anything that moves. Sometimes I post vent-y shit.

Reblog to show your support for NSFW Artists, who deserve better than having their art censored/removed because of a badly thoughtout idea

I AM SO DESPERATELY ANGRY. Not at clacomics but at the people who claimed her art was "offensive" and have now caused a much beloved artist to withdraw from tumblr altogether, thinking she had done wrong when in fact this simply was not true. What sort of community condemns an artist for drawing in their own unique style? For adding to the art pool their own unique character designs? I have been utterly nauseated by the behavior of these individuals and have since unfollowed and blocked each one of them. It sickens me that this sort of thing happens, that a supportive and kind community can become nothing more then a rancid pool of hate and pointing fingers. Its absolutely horrible that anyone would go out of their way to hurt someone just because they dont like the way an artist draws. This has to stop. THIS.
HAS.
TO.
STOP.
I loathe that it must even be said, draw how you draw, draw any character any way you want. Let nobody tell you how to draw a character the way they want, draw them how YOU want. Your style is utterly unique and beautiful! Its not fair to force artist to draw a certain way! The very nature of art is freedom and fluidity!
Let it be.

Labels
So am I the only one who thinks labeling your sexuality is stupid? Like, have all these people claiming to be pansexual, demisexual, asexual, bisexual, straight, gay, etc. When like, it doesn't really matter?? A friend told me this story that really put some things into perspective for me. There was a man who was married to another man for 40 years, someone came up to him and said "are you gay?" And the man replied "No, I am not gay." Confused, the person asked him what he meant and the man said "I am not gay, I am with the person who makes me happy." After I was told this story I had this sort of epiphany, what even is a sexuality? Why does it even matter? Why put a label to something so trivial? I thought about it for a while. I came up with a theory, I think maybe why labels matter so much to people is because nobody ever wants to feel alienated from a group. If we identify as nothing then where do we belong? What group do we belong in? What family do we belong in? I believe we create labels as a way to stay close to people who are similar to ourselves and stay away from people who aren't, in summary labels are made to divide people. So what if we didn't have labels? What if instead of identifying as a certain something: Bi, Pan, Demi, Ace, etc. What if instead we just identified as people? People who love other people, who cares what gender they are!? It doesn't matter! Just love who you love. Anyway, just some food for thought.
