today i went seeing some temples, they were beautiful and one of them was SO well conserved, and i felt so emotional that i cried. i love the gods so much. here some of the many pics i took today. this was so lovely, better than i remembered. it was beautiful, really

i love the gods so much i’m so very thankful to them. my eye sight correction surgery went well and now i technically shouldn’t see blurry and now everything myopia related should be finally FINE and it’s finally corrected and during these days of recovery in complete darkness thinking about them and praying helped me so much. the gods are so wonderful i love them so much

i really am so grateful to divine hermes, i adore him so much

i’m not much of a driver, i’m bad at it, in fact (despite having my driver’s licence) and i don’t like driving. but today i felt like driving so i did (with my father), and i decided to devote the act to divine hermes, and it went SO WELL!!! i became less and less scared while driving and i even did things that normally would cause me anxiety, like entering a very tight part of the road, and i did it without ruining the car, too!! and the other day i also received good news about a ride i needed to reach a place and I’M SO HAPPY

when i was a child i used to sit on the couch (or anywhere, really, but the couch was my favorite spot) and read about the gods, thinking about much i would’ve loved worshipping them, i remember thinking that i wanted to be born in those times just to be able to worship them (i was raised in a christian catholic household with no space for other religions). now that i’m back home i’m on that couch, again, and i’m still reading — but this time as a devotional act for the same gods i was yearning to worship. the perfect end of the cycle. i feel so emotional.

Zeus has a lot of epithets.

Most of them about power, law, storms, kingship. Things you’d expect from the king of the gods.

But Zeus-Lekheatês stops me in my tracks. It’s one of the most unexpectedly tender epithets he has.

The name Lekheatês comes from lekheion, which refers to the bed where a woman would give birth. So Zeus-Lekheatês is, in essence, Zeus as the god of childbirth. The god who protects women during labor. Which, if you really think about it, is wildly fascinating because it’s so unlike the usual way Zeus is framed.

Birth was dangerous in the ancient world. No epidurals, no modern medicine. Just blood, pain, and the gods’ mercy. A mother could die. The baby could die. It was a moment of pure vulnerability, teetering on the edge between life and death. And here’s Zeus, not just presiding over grand cosmic fates or battles or oaths, but over this. Over the most raw, intimate struggle of all. Over the act of bringing life into the world.

And the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Zeus is, above all else, the god of balance. The one who maintains order, who ensures the cosmos doesn’t spiral into chaos. And what is birth if not the ultimate balance between life and death? A single moment where fate could tip either way? Zeus doesn’t just decide who wins wars, he decides who lives, and that includes the smallest, most fragile of beginnings. It’s an aspect of him that feels strangely human, almost gentle. It’s not the Zeus of the thunderbolts or the one swearing unbreakable oaths on the Styx. It’s Zeus as a guardian. A protector.

And if that doesn’t change how you see him, even just a little, I don’t know what will.

i love the gods so much and i’m so grateful and thankful.

one year ago i had a (very pricey) eye operation to correct my myopia in both my eyes, but one of my eyes reacted not so well and i see blurry with it so i still have the myopia and a sort of “veil” that makes me see blurry, so i have to have another operation on that one bc it went into a sort of protective mode and so i can’t see well with it. like, i keep it open and it seems healthy if you look at it, but i see a bit blurry. i thought this one would’ve be very pricey (wouldn’t have been a problem for mum, but i feel very guilty when she has to pay lots for me), too, but my doctor said “neither me nor the clinic are going to take money for it, the only think you’ll have to pay is the laser, but even then, i talked to the person who’s in charge of it and managed to bring the price down by a half” (without even me asking, he just felt bad that i had to pay full price for a reaction my eye had) so now i basically have to pay very little and it made me very happy. and my mind immediately went to divine apollon, since he’s the god of healing and medicine, and this was health-related, and divine hermes, since he’s the god of merchants and trades and my doctor DID negotiate for me

The flames consume bodies—or do the bodies fuel the flames? The UNRWA clinic massacre in Jabalia just happened, taking the lives of 19 people, including 9 innocent children. As a mother in Gaza, I live in constant fear, with no safe place to turn. My baby, Qais, was injured in this cruel war, and I have no money to afford his treatment. Please, I beg you to help us. bought chocolate and a piece of meat. tomorrow afternoon i’ll go back home so i have to catch a flight and i’ll use the morning to give them as offerings to the gods, and i’ll give a bigger part of the piece of meat to divine king zeus (since i’m flying) and divine hermes (since i’m travelling). i can’t exactly bring many things with me (my relatives are christian catholics) but i’ll surely bring with me jewelry that i’ve dedicated to the gods

yesterday i was scrolling through pinterest and i saw a barn owl with very kind eyes and it moved me SO MUCH that i felt like crying. i don’t exactly know why i felt this way. it’s just that it was so kind, like you know what you see an animal/a picture of an animal and think that they have a “human expression”? that was exactly what was happening in that picture. those eyes and that expression were so so kind

i actually picked them up myself, they weren’t store bought: i saw them, chose them, and took them with me. it was very relaxing
