cracked the blinds for my cat because he loves looking outside and I pointed to him to say “look, outside!” and he looked towards my hand and rubbed his face into it and it was so sweet
something poetic about loving someone more than your favorite things, about creatures communicating through abstract touch and sound, about unconditional love and time, about the fear of identifying a body from memory, about multiple lifetimes of love because unfortunately I will outlive you, and so will all my friends, and we will talk about you, and I will smile and laugh and cry and cry and cry
