Shin spints and people suck.

Lately, I am really focusing on being positive in bettering myself and my health while trying not to let symptoms stop me (at least entirely. ) I walked really well yesterday at the recreation center, and so I decided after my i.o.p class today that I would go again. I believe that due to my muscle weakness , the shin splints I got today were from overuse. I ran into an acquaintance who I saw yesterday as well. He walked up to me and said, "You look like hell, there is no way you can be in so much pain today. I saw you yesterday and you were completely fine. Not wanting to waste my energy and needing to get off of my feet, I made it short and simple and said yes, I was really just looking for sympathy, that's why I came here.

My mind is suddenly opened, unblocked

Uplifted.

I feel relief without judgment

Or "what ifs".

If this is "normal," I like it and count me in, please.

It's wild, an unseen block of I have no clue

Is now gone.

How long has it been since I felt this feeling?

How long will it stay? (Please stay.) Please

Worries I do know they will come back

But as of now, they have gone.

Leaving my mind to guide my spirit to wherever land.

Where this old poet may sit quietly and forever be free.

I write poetry

Poetry bothers me

I'm too simple of a being to understand your lingo

My poetry comes from the heart

The heart may be cold at times

Then may be skipping beats in love the next

This to me is life, my friend.

Not trying to write in someone elses lingo

You're not present if you're not alive

You see,

You can't be yourself following others' rules

There's no love in rules. love has no rules

Love has no judgment. Listen to love dammit!

Become a poet, bleed your words

Unleash your beast, your love,

The ugly fucking beautiful love you have.

The poet that resides deep inside you

Wherever it may be, no rules, just poetic beauty

In its rawest of form.

Give it to them! Let them hear you! Do it for you!
