Update

Fellow ozians

I feel like I should make an update on the brazilian’s Elphaba and Glinda ( Myra Ruiz & Fabi Bang), so here it goes. Fabi is pregnant, she is expecting a baby girl, and Myra is her godmother because why not. Here is a picture of the gender reveal:

We had the Brazilian theater award a few weeks back, and they both performed some of the Wicked songs as it was near of the anniversary of the play and they did a special presentation to honor it. Here are a few pictures:

I need to add that Fabi was 23 weeks pregnant, and she pulled it off. God, I love my girls so much ❤️💚

Wicked is going to be back in Brasil this march, and thankfully we will see Myra and Fabi once more playing the roles of Elphie and Glinda, but i wanted to share a bit more about the bond this two formed since first portraying the good and the wicked witch, not only they have made various concerts together trough the years, but Myra is the baptism godmother of Fabi's first daugther, Isabel. I remember Myra's (insta)story right after that, she was trembling so bad, and tearing up. She was so god damn tired those days because she was practicing for Rent (who started literally the next week), and the finale of Wicked arriving after almost an entire fucking year of non-stop performancies. She was soooooo tired, but she went there, and did her best, and everyone on that audience knew that, and everyone felt that they need to thank her for her efforts, and when everyone started to sing alone, she said it was like a weight had left her shoulders, it was like she was recieving a healing and refreshing shower of love. And that was exactly what it was. Im so thankfull for Myra Ruiz and Fabi Bang existence, for them being our Elphaba and Glinda, and for the fact that they did it with all of their hearts, this is the best thing i could ask for, im just so sad that they aren't barelly recognized in our country and that people dont give theatre the importancie it should have. I really hope one day this girls have recognition they deserve.

I need to post my Favourite Fiyero, or Diyero, as we call him here in Brasil ♥ he was actually played by 3 different (and amazing) actors, this one is Diego Montez, Myra Ruiz (Elphaba) Best friend for over a decade, i just imagine how amazing must have been for them to share this special moment.

Last Defying Gravity was so emotional, i always cry in the end ♥ fun fact: the tickets sold out 6 months earlier, and the audience was mostly people who had seen it before. Myra and Fabi loved that everyone sung along and screamed, they weren't offended at all,thats just "thge Brazilian way" hahaha
